국회도서관 전자도서관시스템에 대한 이용자의 기대와 만족에 대한 연구 (A Study of User′s Perspective and Satisfaction in National Assembly Library Electronic Library System)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 원문정보를 데이터베이스로 구축하여 이용자에게 제공하는 국회도서관의 전자도서관시스템에 대한 이용자들의 기대와 만족을 살펴보고, 이용자들의 기대와 만족에서 얼마나 차이를 나타내는가를 분석하고자 한 것이다. 설문지를 분석한 결과에 의하면 정보의 양, 정보의 최신성, 정보의 질, 분류의 체계성, 정보의 일관성, 정보의 정확성은 전체 기대수준의 평균보다 높게 나타나고, 응답의 속도 정보의 질, 정보의 일관성, 검색의 편리성, 정보의 양, 정보의 정확성은 전체 만족수준의 평균보다 높게 나타나고 있다. 분석대상요인 전체에서 정보의 최신성, 정보의 양, 정보의 다양성, 분류의 체계성, 정보의 정확성은 기대와 만족의 차이가 높은 편으로 나타나고 있다.

`I Only Hate Broccoli' : The Library as Place in 21st Century America

  • By taking a bottom-up "library in the life of the user" perspective rather than a top-down "user in the life of the library" perspective, this paper uses anecdotal evidence from the past and near present to examine the multiple roles the U.S. public library plays and has played as public space in the everyday lives of its patrons. By harnessing "public sphere" theory discussed in Jurgen Habermas's THE STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE PUBLIC SPHERE (1989) and by the examining the rich literatures on civic life and institutions that have evolved from it, the author argues that Library and Information Studies discourse has to expand its scope to include research and analysis of "library as place" from a user's perspective if it hopes to develop a deeper understanding of what the public library does for means to members of the communities in which they reside.

사용자 관점 UCA 기술 경제성 분석 : QFD 응용 (Commercial Aspects of Ubiquitous Contents Access Technologies : User Perspective Analysis using QFD)

  • In this paper, we investigated economic viability of UCA (Ubiquitous Contents Access) technologies from user adoption perspective. UCA technologies are expected to 9et embedded into media and telecom merging services. Embracing new technologies such as UCA technologies, forged through an industry convergence, means opting for a technological innovation that will have technological as well as economic and strategic implications. As such, we adopted user perspective innovation adoption theories to explore key antecedents affecting consumer acceptance of these emerging technologies. Subsequently. using QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method, the impacts of UCA technical functions on user's perceived value enhancements are estimated. The QFD analysis result indicates that the new UCA service technologies could achieve about 42% enhancement on user perceived adoption intention compared to existing digital contents service technologies. The proposed analysis framework and findings suggests significant insights for further research.

  • The data is a key catalyst for the development of the fourth industry, and has been viewed as an essential element of the new industry, with technology convergence such as artificial intelligence, augmented/virtual reality, self-driving and 5 G. This will determine the price and value of the data as the user uses data in which the data is based on the context of the situation, rather than the data itself of the past supplier-centric data. This study began with, what factors will increase the value of data from a user perspective not a supplier perspective The study was limited to public data and users conducted research on users using data, such as analysis or development based on data. The study was designed to gauge the value of data that was not studied in the user's perspective, and was instrumental in raising the value of data in the jurisdiction of supplying and managing data.

MMORPG 사용자의 동기유발에 영향을 미치는 요소 : 게임사용자의 욕구 관점에서 (A Study on MMORPG Factors in Game User's Motivation : A Game User's Desire Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 MMORPG의 특성을 사용자의 욕구 관점에서 분석하여 동기유발에 영향을 미치는 구체적요소를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 기존의 연구에 의해 도출된 동기유발요인 중 하나인 캐릭터는 사용자 캐릭터, 타 사용자 캐릭터, 보스몬스터 캐릭터, 조력자NPC로 세분화 되었으며, 캐릭터별 요인은 시각적 매력과 심리적 성향 그리고 능력치로 도출되었다. 또한 각 캐릭터가 사용자의 동기유발에 미치는 영향은 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 각 캐릭터 별로 동기유발의 주요요인이 다른 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 사용자캐릭터는 시각적 매력요인과 능력치요인, 보스몬스터 캐릭터는 심리적 성향요인과 능력치요인, 타사용자 캐릭터는 시각적 매력요인과 능력치요인 그리고 조력자 NPC는 시각적 매력요인이 사용자의 동기 유발에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 분석되었다. 연구결과를 통해 도출된 구체적 동기유발요소는 사용자의 동기를 유발하기 위한 구체적 전략 제시측면에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

User-to-User Matching Services through Prediction of Mutual Satisfaction Based on Deep Neural Network

  • With the development of the sharing economy, existing recommender services are changing from user-item recommendations to user-user recommendations. The most important consideration is that all users should have the best possible satisfaction. To achieve this outcome, the matching service adds information between users and items necessary for the existing recommender service and information between users, so higher-level data mining is required. To this end, this paper proposes a user-to-user matching service (UTU-MS) employing the prediction of mutual satisfaction based on learning. Users were divided into consumers and suppliers, and the properties considered for recommendations were set by filtering and weighting. Based on this process, we implemented a convolutional neural network (CNN)-deep neural network (DNN)-based model that can predict each supplier's satisfaction from the consumer perspective and each consumer's satisfaction from the supplier perspective. After deriving the final mutual satisfaction using the predicted satisfaction, a top recommendation list is recommended to all users. The proposed model was applied to match guests with hosts using Airbnb data, which is a representative sharing economy platform. The proposed model is meaningful in that it has been optimized for the sharing economy and recommendations that reflect user-specific priorities.

스마트워크 환경에서 스마트 기기 활용에 따른 사용자 저항과 개인 생산성에 관한 연구 (A Study on User's Resist and Productivity Using Smart Device in the Smartwork Context)

  • This study draws on status quo bias theoretic perspective as a meta-theoretic lens to explain why individuals have resists to adopt smart devices for their tasks. More specifically, we attempted to examine the relationships among user's resist, perceived usefulness and individual productivity in the smart work context. By employing the status quo bias theoretic perspective, we develop and test our research model by using a survey data from 235 individual users. We demonstrate that satisfaction on the current state influence users' resist, and also the users' resist is mediated by perceived usefulness on individual productivity. From the status quo bias view, this study presents an alternative meta-theoretical lens in order to understand individuals' resist in the smartwork context.

A Study on Marker-based Detection Method of Object Position using Perspective Projection

  • With the mark of the fourth industrial revolution, the smart factory is evolving into a new future manufacturing plant. As a human-machine-interactive tool, augmented reality (AR) helps workers acquire the proficiency needed in smart factories. The valuable data displayed on the AR device must be delivered intuitively to users. Current AR applications used in smart factories lack user movement calibration, and visual fiducial markers for position correction are detected only nearby. This paper demonstrates a marker-based object detection using perspective projection to adjust augmented content while maintaining the user's original perspective with displacement. A new angle, location, and scaling values for the AR content can be calculated by comparing equivalent marker positions in two images. Two experiments were conducted to verify the implementation of the algorithm and its practicality in the smart factory. The markers were well-detected in both experiments, and the applicability in smart factories was verified by presenting appropriate displacement values for AR contents according to various movements.

  • 모바일 어플리케이션 시장은 스마트폰의 등장 이후로 지난 10여 년의 성장을 통해 전자기기 소프트웨어 시장에서 가장 큰 시장을 보유하게 되었다. 모바일 어플리케이션 시장의 경쟁이 심화됨에 따라, 사용자의 소비와 사용 양태에 어플리케이션 평가가 끼치는 영향력 역시 큰 폭으로 상승하였다. 이에 따라 모바일 어플리케이션을 평가하기 위한 척도에 관한 연구들이 진행됐으나, 대부분의 연구가 전문가 중심의 인터뷰 또는 설문조사와 같은 정성적인 방법에 의존하였다. 또한, 서비스 사용자의 관점이 아닌 서비스 제공자의 관점에서 평가 척도가 구성되고 있다. 하지만 최근에는 대량의 사용자 리뷰(User Review) 데이터를 통해 실제 사용자들의 어플리케이션 평가의 정량적 분석이 가능해짐에 따라, 연구자의 주관성을 최소화하는 어플리케이션 영역별 분석의 가능성이 커지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사용자 리뷰 데이터를 활용하여 모바일 어플리케이션들에 대한 기존의 품질 평가에 대한 문제점을 보완할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 토픽모델링 기법인 LDA(Latent Dirichlet allocation)을 적용하여, 기존의 평가 척도를 사용자 관점에서 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 서비스 제공자 및 연구자의 주관성으로 인한 서비스 평가의 편향을 줄이고, 소비자 관점의 모바일 어플리케이션 영역별 평가 척도를 제공할 것으로 예상된다.

The Mediating Roles of Trust and System Quality in Achieving System Success: A System Integrator Perspective

  • A system Integrator (SI) makes a consortium with multiple providers of hardware and software solutions to sell an information system. The success of information systems (IS) mainly depends on establishing a trustful relationship between SI supplier and client, and delivering high-quality system. However, the determinants of trust and system quality have been investigated mostly from the perspective of s ystem buyers rather than system sellers. This study examines the influence of key variables that SI can handle to improve trust and system quality which finally leads to user satisfaction toward SI. This study adopts resource complementarity, user participation and information sharing as the key variable then builds a research model to explain their relationships to user satisfaction. Respondents are recruited from 251 firms that have built any information system in recent two years in South Korea. Results of partial least square (PLS) modeling analysis show that both resource complementarity and information sharing have positive relationships with trust. Also the relationships between trust, system quality and user satisfaction toward S.I are supported. In addition, the mediating roles of trust and system quality are identified. We discussed some of the key managerial and theoretical implications of the paper and suggested further research directions.
