An accelerated life test (ALT) is a test method that forces components to fail more quickly than they would under use conditions by applying higher overstresses. When two or more accelerating stresses are involved in an ALT, an interaction effect may occur. In previous studies, mostly ALTs without considering an interaction of accelerated stresses and accelerated life models were proposed. The life data obtained are extrapolated using a life-stress relationship to estimate the life distribution at use conditions. We use the general log-linear relationship to model the dependence of life in the Weibull distribution on stress. Therefore, this study suggests the acceleration factor model between the lives at use conditions and accelerated conditions by using mechanical component life data considering an interaction effect. Further, the accelerated life test method and acceleration factor model proposed in this paper will be the basis for adopting an accelerated life test with accelerated stress interactions.
Background and objective: While response measures to particulate matters in rural areas are limited due to poor inventory record keeping in the agricultural sector, it is necessary to control agricultural waste vinyl and the emission of precursors released from open burning and the secondary generation of particulate matters. Currently, the open burning emission calculation method uses the definition prescribed in CAPSS by the National Institute of Environmental Research. Methods: This study presented an open burning emission calculation formula for agricultural waste vinyl, which is included as agricultural waste. As for activity data, the open burning ratio of agricultural waste vinyl, and the annual incineration volume provided in the Status Survey by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs were applied. The emission factor was generated through incineration tests on three agricultural plastic film samples collected by the Korea Environment Corporation. Results: Among precursors, SOx and NOx were selected and their emission features were monitored with incineration experiment infrastructure based on the EPA 5G method. The highest emission concentration by agricultural waste type was concentrated in the first and second quarters. As for emission factor of SO2, it was calculated at 98.25 g/kg for mulching-use LDPE, 52.31 g/kg for greenhouse-use LDPE, and 14.40 g/kg for HDPE. As for NOx, it was calculated at 18.21 g/kg for mulching-use LDPE, 16.49 g/kg for greenhouse-use LDPE, and 10.67 g/kg for HDPE. Conclusion: This test confirmed the incineration features of PE-based plastics, ascertained the SOx emission factor that had not been included in open burning in the past, and established that low NOx emission concentration is interfered by soil mixed with livestock excretions. The findings from this study are expected to contribute to improving the system for controlling air pollutants in rural environments.

The government has implemented operating the bus information terminal (hereinafter, 'BIT') to use by building it at a major bus station to solve the problem of traffic congestion. Busan Metropolitan City has been continuously expanding the installation of 'BIT' since 2003. However, there are few research on the factor to use and satisfaction survey on 'BIT' from the perspective of the users. This study, in an effort to inquire into the 'BIT' utilization factor and its vitalization plan, conducted a face to face survey of 172 citizens who had the experience in the 'BIT'. The result of the data analysis showed that usability, convenience, and availability were the critical factors for a BIT use. In addition, the general intention to use 'BIT' was found to be very high as much as 90.7%. The contributions of this study are as follows. The academic contributions is that it proved the relationship between usability, convenience and the intention to use suggested by the information technology acceptance model is supported even in case of 'BIT.' For the practitioners this study provides ground data for a local government to make a plan of a BIT extension.
Purpose: This study aims to present individual motivation and channel characteristics affecting omnichannel service use, as well as the effect relationship of the brand factor on consumption value, service satisfaction, and continuous usability based on convenience store pickup service, one of online shopping customers' omnichannel use services. Primarily, this study divided consumption value into emotional value and functional value and examined the consumption value characteristics of omnichannel-based pickup service customers. Research design, data and methodology: A questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 324 consumers having the omnichannel-based pickup service user experience in online shopping in Korea. A confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were carried out based on the structural equation to verify hypotheses. Results: According to the analysis result, individual motivation affected the emotional value, and the omnichannel characteristics affected functional value. The brand effect influenced both emotional and functional values. The emotional value affected continuous use intention, and the functional value affected service satisfaction. Conclusions: Therefore, consumers' emotional and functional values showed differences in consumption behavior. In online shopping companies' marketing strategy construction for omnichannel, it was confirmed that a differentiated approach is needed depending on the strategic goal of satisfaction improvement and continuous use intention consolidation.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Korean version of the Successful Aging Inventory (SAI-K) to determine its suitability for use with older Korean adults. Methods: Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were utilized to assess the factor structure and the construct validity of the SAI-K. First- and second-order Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were conducted to identify the most adequate model. Cronbach's alpha was used to test the reliability. Results: Using a second-order CFA, a four-factor structure was validated (${\chi}^2$=122.82, p<.001, GFI=.92, AGFI=.88, SRMR=.06 RMSEA=.07, 90% CI=.05-.09, CFI=.93). The four-factor SAI-K showed reliable internal consistency with a Cronbach's alpha for the total scale of .86. Conclusion: The four-factor, 13-item SAI-K showed satisfactory reliability and validity and, thus, has the potential to be an appropriate instrument for measuring successful aging in older Korean adults.
In [7, 8] they introduced a new finite element method for accurate numerical solutions of Poisson equations with corner singularities. They consider the Poisson equations with homogeneous boundary conditions, compute the finite element solutions using standard FEM and use the extraction formula to compute the stress intensity factor(s), then they posed new PDE with a regular solution by imposing the nonhomogeneous boundary condition using the computed stress intensity factor(s), which converges with optimal speed. From the solution they could get an accurate solution just by adding the singular part. Their algorithm involves an iteration and the iteration number depends on the acuracy of stress intensity factors, which is usually obtained by extraction formula which use the finite element solutions computed by standard Finite Element Method. In this paper we investigate the dependence of the iteration number on the convergence of stress intensity factors and give a way to reduce the iteration number, together with some numerical experiments.
Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a life-threatening pulmonary complication in patients with hematologic malignancies or autoimmune disorders. The current treatment options, which include corticosteroids, transfusions, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and immunosuppressants, have been limited and largely unsuccessful. Recombinant activated factor VII (rFVIIa) has been successfully administered, either systemically or bronchoscopically, to adults for the treatment of DAH, but there are few data on its use in pediatric patients. The current literature in the PubMed database was reviewed to evaluate the efficacy and risk of rFVIIa treatment for DAH in pediatric patients. This review discusses the diagnosis and treatment of DAH, as well as a new treatment paradigm that includes rFVIIa. Additionally, the risks and benefits of off-label use of rFVIIa in pediatric patients are discussed.
The purpose of the thesis is to develop simulation program for forecasting of optical connector. So we can achieve the time and the money saving for making the optical connector. Optical performance (insertion loss) of optical connector mainly relies on 3 misalignment factors-ferrule factor due to mis-manufacture from design, auto-centering effect that is fiber behavior phenomena between hole and fiber, fiber misalignment factor. Simulation use experimental data with auto-centering effect and fiber factor and use pseudo data with ferrule through random number generation because it is developing stage. In this study we a, pp.y kernel density estimation method with experimental data in order to know whether it belong to or not specific parametric distribution family. And we simulate to forecast insertion loss of optical multifiber connector under specific design model using nonparametric bootstrap resampling data and parametric pseudo samples from uniform distribution. We obtain the tolerance specifications of misalignment factors satisfying not exceed in maximum 1.0dB and choose optimal hole diameter.
Load forecasting is an important issue as for the economic dispatch and there have been many researches which are classfied into two classes, time series method and factor analysis method. But the former is not adaptive for a sudden change of a correlated factor and the latter is not inefficient as the factor estimation is not easy. To make matters worse, both of them are not good for the estimation of special days. It is because the load forecasting is not a problem modeled precisely in mathematics, but a problem requires experience and knowledge those can solve it case by case. In this viewpoint, an expert system is proposed which can use complicated experience of an expert by use of fuzzy decision.
