In January 2020, the first COVID-19 confirmed patient occurred in Korea, and the pandemic continues to this day. In unprecedented situations, COVID-19 also affected the transportation sector, and there were no appropriate measures against changes in traffic volume and use of public transportation due to changes in citizens' lifestyles. Currently, each local government has not established separate measures for pandemic disease measures. In order to establish future disease countermeasures in the transportation sector, a predictive model was developed by analyzing the traffic volume and the number of public transportation uses, and conducting correlation analysis with the current status of COVID-19. As a result of the analysis, the traffic volume decreased, but the traffic volume decreased due to the increase in personal transportation, but it did not reach the number of public transportation uses. In addition, it was analyzed that the use of public transportation was initially affected by the number of confirmed cases, but over time, it was more sensitive to death and mortality than to the number of confirmed cases.

There is an increasing trend each year in the number of subway users due to increase in the traffic volume. As the number of train service has risen, the subway drivers are given heavy work and from the same, are put at risk of mental health deterioration due to stress. As this is directly connected to safety, there is an urgent need for improvement of the situation. Therefore, as a way to appropriately relieve such stress, resting space where mental and physical energy can be recharged is necessary. Thus, this research conducted a survey of demand with subway drivers as subjects in order to provide resting space that can offer healthy rest and increase work effectiveness. 50 subway drivers were the subjects of this survey. As a result of analyzing the contents of the survey, environmental satisfaction was shown to be the lowest compared to psychological and morphological satisfaction. In the case of sleeping room, they wanted more comfortable and individual space. And the waiting room had the highest rate of usage frequency. The storage space was where the subway drivers showed the strongest attachment and was shown to be the only personal space. Most were shown to be satisfied with the outdoor space, but it had the lowest usage frequency. In addition, it is nessasery customized storage cabinet designed for subway drivers should be produced, which can effectively arrange the limited space. I hope that these direction of improvement can increase the healthy rest and work effectiveness of the locomotive engineers as it is directly being connected to the health and safety of the citizens.
As the importance of intellectual property rights for the 21st century challenge became prominent, many companies have been trying to secure many rights competitively. In particular, application numbers of patent that represents technology has been increased continuously. Korean companies were not exception; mainly in large companies, there have been continued the efforts to grow the number of patent applications in quantitative volume. But the issues that how viable patents the companies have, how effectively the companies manage, and how economically usable the patents are, are totally different from quantitative management level. As such, the issue is connected to how to assess the patent management level of companies. On the other side of quantitative growth of patent that companies hold, there are some problems such as the difficulties to determine if the patents hold substantial values, and the difficulties to determine whether the patent are managed effectively. In addition, as the numbers of patent application and registration of companies are increased, the cost for patent holding and managing increase. It is required to pay continuous attention to the cost of patent management because patent registration fee has a property that increases rapidly with time and burden for patentee become heavier. As a result of analysis and interpretation, we confirmed that quantitative management, particularly the number of patent applicant does not make positive impact on how to use patent after application. Rather, it is observed that the economical usage is influenced positively by the efforts of patent applicants such as considering for the time of patent examination, paying attention to receive patent registration decision. Therefore, this study shows that efforts patent applicants provide in management level after application time are important to maintain the value of patents.
The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact that occurs when Korean organizations make practical use of various information technology tools and systems in the knowledge management process, such as sharing, learning and creating knowledge. Such a process is usually made through online and offline knowledge management activities. This paper also verifies how the externalization of tacit knowledge, and the internalization of explicit knowledge via the Internet and offline socialization activities have altered the mechanisms of knowledge transfers inside organizations. For the research, a survey was conducted on the satisfaction and usability levels of information technology, and the impact of IT usage on the results of knowledge management activities and knowledge transfers. 622 Korean organizations were surveyed, including major listed firms and public organizations. The results were examined as an online/offline integration process using SECI's Model proposed by Nonaka (1994, 1995). The analysis shows that information technology satisfaction and the usage of information technology help accelerate the pace of the knowledge flow and amplify the volume of the knowledge transfer by boosting the externalization and internalization processes-also known as knowledge management activities. However. there is no distinct correlation between information technology and socialization, an offline knowledge transferal activity. In particular, the quality of knowledge-an end result of knowledge transfer-does not improve merely by the externalization of online knowledge and instead requires the internalization of knowledge processes. Above all, the research reveals that offline socialization processes vastly contribute to the improvement of knowledge quality. This paper suggests that in order to ensure a transfer of quality knowledge, an organization or a company should focus on the use of information technology rather than the satisfaction level of information technology, and that knowledge transfers via the Internet has limitations in creating high quality of knowledge. For an organization to ensure the transfer of high-quality knowledge, the organization should not entirely hinge the transfer of knowledge online, as it is essential to have an offline method-a form of socialization such as a 'community of practice.'
The quick response(QR) system is very popular in Korean apparel companies. However, the usage of QR system was not known well. The purpose of this study is to identify the usage of the quick response decision support system(QR DSS) and postponement manufacturing in the Korean apparel company. The researched company was the only one which used the QR DSS. The researchers carried out the depth interview with the QR decision makers of the company. This company had 14 brands, and had used the QR DSS since January, 2008. The results are as follows: The QR DSS was supportive computer software program, and it helped the staffs to make agile decision about QR repeat production of clothing. The QR DSS automatically calculated the related data, and suggested the expected sales volume and the proper supply amounts of the styles. There were four functions in QR DSS : 'QR Alert', 'Proper Supply Amount Simulation', 'Sensible QR', and 'Supply/Sales Simulation by Item'. The men's clothing brands effectively used 'Supply/Sales Simulation by Item' function. And the women's clothing brands effectively used 'QR Alert' function. This company also used the postponement production system for QR repeat production. The postponement production was conducted with four methods : the yarn stocking, the grey fabric stocking, the dyed fabric stocking, and the fabric sourcing. The men's clothing brands usually used of the yarn stocking methods and the dyed fabric stocking methods. The women's clothing brands usually used the grey fabric stocking methods. By using QR DSS and postponement production system the company was able to shorten the lead time for QR decision making.

In this study, we have developed a forecasting model for city- gas acceptance. City-gas corporations have to report about city-gas sale volume next year to KOGAS. So it is a important thing to them. Factors influenced city-gas have differences corresponding to usage classification, however, in city-gas acceptence, it is hard to classificate. So we have considered tha outside temperature as factor that influence regardless of usage classification and the model development was carried out. ARIMA, one of the traditional time series analysis, and LSTM, a deep running technique, were used to construct forecasting models, and various Ensemble techniques were used to minimize the disadvantages of these two methods.Experiments and validation were conducted using data from JB Corp. from 2008 to 2018 for 11 years.The average of the error rate of the daily forecast was 0.48% for Ensemble LSTM, the average of the error rate of the monthly forecast was 2.46% for Ensemble LSTM, And the absolute value of the error rate is 5.24% for Ensemble LSTM.
This study aims to derive the need for middle-aged women to consider using fashion product applications, styling, and personalized styling services. To analyze the fashion styling considerations of middle-aged women, 200 women in their 40s and 50s were surveyed. Middle-aged women usually tend to shop through home shopping, department stores, fashion soho (Small office home office) malls, and open market-type applications, and purchase fashion products more than two or three times a month, spending an average of less than 50,000 won per month. Middle-aged women consider choosing appropriate clothing based on the occasion and place, complementing the flaws of the changed body type as well as taking into account the weather in the styling process, and seek to showcase a sophisticated, luxurious, and youthful image through styling. However, they are confused and face difficulties in fashion styling, with regard to not only overall body shape but also partial body changes, such as increasing waistline, flabby thighs and arms, and decreasing hip volume. In addition, middle-aged women were looking for expert advice on styling to help them look the best. They also wanted to solve the difficulties of making a right choice amid the overflowing information related to fashion. The results of the study contribute to identifying products that meet the needs of middle-aged women and help develop detailed consumer-tailored marketing strategies, thereby improving sales of fashion products.
The Korean mobile service market has persistently grown with the number of subscribers and volume of mobile traffic. It shows the slow diffusion of 5G subscribers, and rapid growth of both the MVNO(Mobile Virtual Network Operator) market and unlocked mobile phones. Therefore, this study derives the direction of telcos' strategies and policy implications by empirically analyzing the usage and attitude of LTE and 5G subscribers. Our major findings are as follows: First, our current mobile service subscription market constitutes most long-term customers for their incumbent carriers only by device change from lock-in with bundle services. Mobile tariffs, data speed, and benefits of bundle services are important factors affecting choices and customers' satisfaction with a provider and intentions of churning to another. Second, demand and satisfaction for using 5G are less because speeds and service tariffs act as pain points for 5G services. Third, the users' high preferences for MVNOs and unlocked mobile phones are linked to their subscription to MVNOs' low-cost plans with unlocked mobile phones on online channels. These streams lead to a big change in the market competition that MNO(Mobile Network Operator)s' market shares are expected to decrease and MVNOs' shares will be increased by two times, in the near future. Therefore, MNOs need to change their distribution strategies from offline to online channels and try to resolve the stereotype, "mobile tariffs are expensive," by enhancing their service values. Finally, as consumers prefer one-stop service in the same channel regardless of the distribution channel, policies should focus on the consumers' needs for convenience rather than on the channel separation for perfectly unlocked mobile phones.
Lightweight concrete is a superior material due to its light weight and high strength. There however remain significant lacunae in engineering knowledge with regards to shear failure of lightweight fiber reinforced concrete beams. The main aim of the present study is to investigate the optimum usage of steel fibers in lightweight fiber reinforced concrete (LWFRC). Multi-scale finite element model calibrated with experimental results is developed to study the effect of steel fibers on the mechanical properties of LWFRC beams. To decrease the amount of steel fibers, it is preferred to reinforce only the middle section of the LWFRC beams, where the flexural stresses are higher. For numerical simulation, a multi-scale finite element model was developed. The cement matrix was modeled as homogeneous and uniform material and both steel fibers and lightweight coarse aggregates were randomly distributed within the matrix. Considering more realistic assumptions, the bonding between fibers and cement matrix was considered with the Cohesive Zone Model (CZM) and its parameters were determined using the model update method. Furthermore, conformity of Load-Crack Mouth Opening Displacement (CMOD) curves obtained from numerical modeling and experimental test results of notched beams under center-point loading tests were investigated. Validating the finite element model results with experimental tests, the effects of fibers' volume fraction, and the length of the reinforced middle section, on flexural and residual strengths of LWFRC, were studied. Results indicate that using steel fibers in a specified length of the concrete beam with high flexural stresses, and considerable savings can be achieved in using steel fibers. Reducing the length of the reinforced middle section from 50 to 30 cm in specimens containing 10 kg/m3 of steel fibers, resulting in a considerable decrease of the used steel fibers by four times, whereas only a 7% reduction in bearing capacity was observed. Therefore, determining an appropriate length of the reinforced middle section is an essential parameter in reducing fibers, usage leading to more affordable construction costs.
Recently, as the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution approaches, IoT devices that emphasize portability are increasing. At the same time, battery usage is also increasing rapidly. With the rapid increase in battery usage, issues related to battery safety have become inevitable problems and many studies have been conducted. This paper deals with explosion issues caused by swelling among various battery issues, and includes research and development of a system that detects battery swelling by identifying resistance changes. The core technology of this study is to develop a system that frequently detects changes in the resistance of wires drawn on the battery through changes in volume that occur when the battery swelling, and uses the resistance changes to prevent battery explosion. In addition, through pattern analysis, it was analyzed how the wire should be constructed to cause a lot of resistance changes.
