  • In this paper, a mobile cloud-based agent model is proposed in order to overcome the resource constraints and the difficulties of installing a variety of complex applications in mobile devices. The proposed software architecture overcomes the disadvantages of mobile devices and maximizes usage of cloud services by implementing the function of mobile agent concept. The significant portion of the cloud services is run in the cloud server and the client application implemented in the mobile device can call and control appropriate service from the cloud server. Thus, the inherent weakness of the mobile can be overcome by executing the target applications on cloud nodes.

  • Mobile marketing is a brand new phenomenon. In Malaysia, marketeers do not seem to understand well enough the perceptions of consumers according to mobile marketing, especially to the mobile service users. This study analyses and evaluates any significant relationship between consumer perceptions and intentions with respect to mobile marketing, and seeks to determine the expectations, preferences, pattern and usage of the consumers of Mobile Marketing Product and Service (MMP&S). The data was obtained by convenience sampling in the big cities of Malaysia. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed and a sample of 112 usable questionnaires was selected. The result of this research applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) point to the fact that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived innovative, social influence have a direct positive relationship with the intention to use mobile marketing. This, in turn, can shed light on the main factors determining consumer intentions to use mobile marketing that may control consumer adoption of mobile marketing.

  • 인터넷의 급속한 성장으로 e비즈니스의 인터넷 사용이 증대되었다. 인터넷 환경에서는 새로운 인터넷 사용자라는 소비자를 대상으로 인터넷 소비자 행동에 관한 연구가 중요한 분야로 자리잡게 되었다. 인터넷상에서의 소비자 행동을 설명하기 위해 온라인 인지절차 (Cognitive process)에 관한 연구로, 웹 사이트에 대한 소비자의 태도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 연구들이 수행되었다. 웹 사이트에 대한 소비자의 태도에 따른 개인화된 마케팅을 위해서는 웹사이트를 소비자의 특성을 고려해서 개인화된 웹사이트를 운영해야 한다. 개인의 정보 시스템 사용에 대한 설명을 위하여 많은 모형들이 개발되어 왔다. 기술 수용 모형(Technology Acceptance Model: TAM)은 개인의 정보 시스템 수용에 영향을 미치는 요소를 설명하기 위하여 가장 폭 넓게 사용되고 있는 모형이다. TRA 모형에 따르면, 개인의 사회적 행위는 그 행위의 결과에 대한 신념에 의해 영향을 받는다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 고객의 신념을 신뢰 (Trust), 유용성 (Usefulness), 사용의 편의성 (Ease of Use), 위험 (Risk), 보안통제 (Security control)로 분류하고, 고객의 실제 사용 (Usage)을 인터넷 뱅킹 환경에서 측정하여 고객세분화에 적용하였다. 세분화된 고객집단을 분류하기 위해서 인공신경망, 판별 분석 기법을 적용하여 웹 사이트에서 사용할 수 있는 개인화 모형을 개발하였다.

Analysis of rectangular hybrid steel-GFRP reinforced concrete beam columns

  • In this study, nominal moment-axial load interaction diagrams, moment-curvature relationships, and ductility of rectangular hybrid beam-column concrete sections are analyzed using the modified Hognestad concrete model. The hybrid columns are primarily reinforced with steel bars with additional Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) control bars. Parameters investigated include amount, pattern, location, and material properties of concrete, steel, and GFRP. The study was implemented using a user defined comprehensive $MATLAB^{(R)}$ simulation model to find an efficient hybrid section design maximizing strength and ductility. Generating lower bond stresses than steel bars at the concrete interface, auxiliary GFRP bars minimize damage in the concrete core of beam-column sections. Their usage prevents excessive yielding of the core longitudinal bars during frequent moderate cyclic deformations, which leads to significant damage in the foundations of bridges or beam-column spliced sections where repair is difficult and expensive. Analytical results from this study shows that hybrid steel-GFRP composite concrete sections where GFRP is used as auxiliary bars show adequate ductility with a significant increase in strength. Results also compare different design parameters reaching a number of design recommendations for the proposed hybrid section.

Proposal of a Step-by-Step Optimized Campus Power Forecast Model using CNN-LSTM Deep Learning (CNN-LSTM 딥러닝 기반 캠퍼스 전력 예측 모델 최적화 단계 제시)

  • A forecasting method using deep learning does not have consistent results due to the differences in the characteristics of the dataset, even though they have the same forecasting models and parameters. For example, the forecasting model X optimized with dataset A would not produce the optimized result with another dataset B. The forecasting model with the characteristics of the dataset needs to be optimized to increase the accuracy of the forecasting model. Therefore, this paper proposes novel optimization steps for outlier removal, dataset classification, and a CNN-LSTM-based hyperparameter tuning process to forecast the daily power usage of a university campus based on the hourly interval. The proposing model produces high forecasting accuracy with a 2% of MAPE with a single power input variable. The proposing model can be used in EMS to suggest improved strategies to users and consequently to improve the power efficiency.

Development of Korean Geoid Model and Verification of its Precision (우리나라 지오이드 모델 구축 및 정밀도 검증)

  • The previous geoid model developed in early 2000s shows 14cm level of precision due to the problems on distribution, and quality of the land gravity and GPS/Leveling data. From 2007, the new land and airborne gravity data as well as GPS/Leveling data having high quality and regular distribution has been obtained. In 2011, a new gravimetric geoid model has been constructed with precision of 5.29cm which was improved about 27% comparing to the previous model. However, much more land gravity data has been collected at the control point, bench marks and triangulation points since 2010. Also, GPS/Leveling data having 10km spacing over whole country has been obtained through the project which is for the construction of new control points. In this study, new gravimetric geoid has been calculated based on the all available gravity data up to present. The geoid height shows the range from 18.05m to 32.70m over whole country and its precision is 5.76cm. The degree of fit and precision of hybrid geoid model are 3.60cm and 4.06cm, respectively. At the end, 3.35cm of the relative precision in 15km baseline has been calculated to confirm its practical usage. Especially, it has been founded that regional bias occurred at the Kangwon and coastal area due to problems on the leveling data. Also, some inland points show inconsistent large difference which needs to be verified by analyzing the unified control points results.

A Simulation Study for Improving Operations of an Emergency Medical Center (응급진료센터 운영 개선을 위한 시뮬레이션)

  • Emergency medical center(EMC) is the place for patients who need medical treatment immediately due to a disease, childbirth, or all sorts of accidents. Currently, most of EMCs use temporary beds because regular EMC beds cannot afford to serve all incoming patients. However, since it decreases the quality of service(QoS) of EMC patients and their guardians and efficiency of the EMC, some improvements are highly required to diminish the usage of temporary beds. The system duration time is one of the typical QoSs. This thesis proposes the information which is critical to make a better decision for cut down the number of temporary beds without sacrificing QoS of patients. The key point is to control the duration time of medical treatments for the consultation and hospitalization process, since it is the major reason of overcrowding in EMC and the usage of temporary beds. In this paper, we proposed an Arena simulation model reflecting real world substantially. Arena is one of the most widely accepted simulation softwares in the world. Using the developed model, we can obtain the optimal EMC operation parameters through simulation experiments. Optquest, included in the Arena, is used to make the developed simulation model collaborate with an optimization model. The results showed one can determine the set of optimal operation parameters decreasing the required number of temporary beds without deteriorating EMC patient's QoS.

Solar Power Emotional LED Lightening Street Lamps with Multiple Control Sun Tracker (다중 추적식 태양광 발전 감성형 LED 가로등)

  • In this paper, a solar power emotional LED lightening street lamps with multi control sun tracker is presented. The proposed system has a multiple control sun tracking function and high quality emotional LED lamps. The system is designed to absorb maximum sun lights by temperature sensor and humidity sensor of control circuits. A battery charge-discharge controller is developed for high efficient usage of battery charger for utilization of new and renewal energy. An interface circuit for remote monitoring and controlling is included in the developed system. The proposed multi tracking solar power emotional LED street lamps is better than conventional systems in aspect of tracking operation and energy efficiency, and expected to be a leading model for next generation solar power street lamp system, because it is a new technology combining sun tracking solar power system and emotional lightening system.

Development and Application of Cognitive Scaffolding Tools for Enhancing the Integrated Science Process Skills of High School Students (고등학생들의 통합 탐구 기능 향상을 위한 인지적 스캐폴딩 도구 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop cognitive scaffolding tools and to explore their effects on integrated science process skills of high school students. For this purpose, we developed cognitive scaffolding tools including one kind of classroom instruction for training integrated process skills and two kinds of individual learning materials that students can selectively study according to their level of inquiry ability. In addition, we developed hypothetico-deductive inquiry tasks as a tool to investigate the level of students on the integrated process skills for pre-test and post-test respectively. In order to verify the effectiveness of the cognitive scaffolding tools, we conducted inferential statistics on the pre-and post-tests of the experimental group and control group to examine statistical significance of students' inquiry level change depending on the usage of the cognitive scaffolding tools. We also produced Wrightmaps based on Rasch model to compare the change of inquiry ability depending on usage of the cognitive scaffolding tools. As a result, the experimental group using the cognitive scaffolding tools showed a significantly higher scores in all the components of integrated process skills namely, designing inquiry, collecting data, analyzing data, and forming conclusion than the control group. In addition, students who used cognitive scaffolding tools improved their inquiry ability and showed a distinct transition to higher level in each component of the integrated process skills. The results of this study suggest that high school students need cognitive scaffolding to alleviate or eliminate the functional barriers they face in conducting scientific inquiries.

A Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials on Acupuncture Treatment for Shoulder Pain (견비통에 침치료를 시행한 무작위대조군연구(RCT)들에 대한 계통적 연구)

  • Objectives : To review RCTs on acupuncture treatment for shoulder pain in order to establish a standard acupuncture treatment model in treating shoulder pain. Methods : RCT articles on traditional acupuncture treatment for shoulder pain were searched through online database. Quality of studies were assessed using the FEAS and the modified Jadad score. Results : Eighteen trials of acupuncture for shoulder pain were analyzed. Based on the results of these reviews the following factors might contribute to optimal results from acupuncture treatment. 1) Usage of LI, SI, TE meridians, usage of $LI_{15}$, $TE_{14}$, $GB_{21}$, $LI_{11}$, $LI_4$, $SI_{14}$, $LI_{14}$, $TE_{15}$ acupuncture points. 2) More than four acupuncture points should be used. 3) More than 15 minutes of needle retention time. 4) Needle length-40mm and diameter-0.30mm. 5) More than 9 times treatment 6) More than 5 weeks treatment duration. Conclusions : There was no relation between quality of article and effectiveness of acupuncture. To improve the remedial value, it is necessary to mention De-qi, stimulation of acupuncture and correct variation in diagnosis with the above-mentioned. It is better that clinical trials of acupuncture treatment is designed that type of RCT and double blind. Also when it is set that sham nonpenetrating acupuncture, no treatment group as a control group, and participants don't distinguish wheather acupuncture treatment or not, it will be more meaningful.
