Currently the amount and variety of data being generated is unprecedented and dramatically changes the way individuals, groups, and societies act and make decisions. Visualization is one of the most important commonly used methods of analyzing and interpreting digital assets and the interactive environments are necessary to enable effective discovery and decision making. In this paper we present several examples and approaches to scalable functional representations and interactive visualization and analysis. The functional representations provide us unified, compact, continuous, multi-scale, and compressed representations in the data domain.

In this paper, we consider biharmonic slant curves in S-space forms. We obtain a main theorem, which gives us four different cases to find curvature conditions for these curves. We also give examples of slant curves in ${\mathbb{R}}^{2n+s}(-3s)$.

The situation in Korean peninsula, globally and regionally, which followed the global huge uncertainty, changed a lot. Because of the political crisis, ROK falls into a chaos. And DPRK goes into a policy changing period by the internal issues, international sanctions and assassination accident in Malaysia, which is confirmed to be DPRK's Supreme leader, Kim Jong Un's half brother. Under this changing circumstances, the perspectives of regarding China and the Korean peninsula, must be undated accordingly. Only by understanding the Sino-US relations, the DPRK nuclear issue and the regional dilemmas can we formulate reasonable policies to contribute to the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.

Two novel Eu(III) complexes with notable properties have been successfully prepared with hydrazone Schiff base ligands, (E)-2-hydroxy-N'-[(2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)methylene]benzohydrazide (3a) and (E)-4-hydroxy-N'-[(2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)methylene]benzohydrazide (3b). DFT, FMO energy and Mulliken charge distribution studies of the ligands allowed us to hypothesize that their HC=N, > C=O and -OH (naphthyl) groups were involved in coordinating with the $Eu^{3+}$ ion. The eight coordination sites of the $Eu^{3+}$ ion were occupied by the three functional groups of the two ligands (3a or 3b) mentioned above and two water molecules. Similar UV, IR and fluorescence spectra indicated the presence of comparable coordination environments for the $Eu^{3+}$ ion in both complexes. Both the ligands and their complexes exhibited moderate DPPH radical scavenging activity. Moreover, it was found that the Eu(III) complexes exhibited fluorescence properties.

Severe outbreak of necrotic. soybean mosaic virus. (SMV -N) strain has been observed on soybean (Glycine max) in the central northern pans of Korea. Thirty soybean cultivars developed from Korea. Japan, and USA were tested for the estimation of infection percentages and ratings at 4 different planting dates. SMV-N infection was decreased by delaying the planting dates, but no differences were observed in conmon mosaic virus. Most of the soybean cultivars developed in Korea, and Japan were more susceptible to SMV- N than the US developed cultivars. Infection ratings of SMV-N showed highly significant negative correlations with common SMV regardless of planting dates.

Galaxy clusters, the largest gravitationally bound systems, are an important means to place constraints on cosmological models. Moreover, they are excellent places to test galaxy evolution models in connection to the environments. To this day, massive clusters have been found unexpectedly at high redshfit (Kang & Im 2009, Durret et al. 2011, Tashikawa et al. 2012), and evolution of galaxies in cluster has not been fully understood. Finding galaxy cluster candidates at z > 1 in wide, deep imaging survey data will enable us to solve such issues of modern extragalactic astronomy. We report new candidates of galaxy clusters in the wide and deep survey fields, European Large Area ISO Survey North1(ELAIS-N1) and North2(ELAIS-N2) fields, covering sky area of $8.75deg^2$ and $4.85deg^2$ each. We also suggest a new useful colour-colour selection technique to separate 1 < z < 2 galaxies from low-z galaxies by combining multi-wavelength data from the UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey Deep Extragalactic Survey (UKIDSS DXS, JK bands), Spitzer Wise-area InfraRed Extragalactic survey (SWIRE, Optical-Infrared bands), Canada France Hawaii Telescope (CFHT, z band) and Infrared Medium-deep Survey(IMS, J band).

In this study, we developed novel indicators to assess postoperative pain based on PPG derivative waveform. As the candidate indicator of postoperative pain assessment, the time from the start of beating to the n-th peak($T_n$) and the n-th peak amplitude($A_n$) of the PPG derivative were selected. In order to verify derived indicators, each candidate indicator was derived from the PPG of 78 subjects before and after surgery, and it was confirmed whether significant changes were observed after surgery. Logistic classification was performed with each proposed indicator to calculate the pain classification accuracy, then the classification performance was compared with SPI(Surgical Pleth Index, GE Healthcare, Chicago, US). The results showed that there were significant differences(p < 0.01) in all indicators except for $T_3$ and $A_3$. The coefficient of variation(CV) of every time-related indicators were lower than the CV of SPI(30.43%), however, the CV in amplitude-related parameters were higher than that of SPI. Among the candidate indicators, amplitude of the first peak, $A_1$, showed that highest accuracy in post-operative pain classification, 68.72%, and it is 15.53% higher than SPI.

To gain a better understanding on the function of the potato Solanum tuberosum Multiprotein Bridging Factor 1 protein (StMBF1) its interaction with the TATA box binding protein (TBP) was demonstrated. In addition we reported that StMBF1 rescues the yeast mbf1 mutant phenotype, indicating its role as a plant co-activator. These data reinforce the hypothesis that MBF1 function is also conserved among non closely related plant species. In addition, measurement of StMBF1 protein level by Western blot using anti-StMBF1 antibodies indicated that the protein level increased upon $H_2O_2$ and heat shock treatments. However, the potato $\beta$-1,3-glucanase protein level was not changed under the same experimental conditions. These data indicate that StMBF1 participates in the cell stress response against oxidative stress allowing us to suggest that MBF1 genes from different plant groups may share similar functions.
