A theoretical study of Boussinesq equations (BEs) for internal waves propagating in a two-fluid system is presented in this paper. The two-fluid system is assumed to be bounded by two rigid plates. A set of three equations is firstly derived which has three main unknowns, the interfacial displacement and two velocity potentials at arbitrary elevations for upper and lower fluids, respectively. The determination of the optimal BEs requires a solution of depth parameters which can be uniquely solved by applying the $Pad{\acute{e}}$ approximation to dispersion relation. Some wave properties predicted by the optimal BEs are examined. The optimal model not only increases the applicable range of traditional BEs but also provides a novel aspect of internal wave studies.
Slider bearings are widely applied in mechanical systems, where the design needs cover increased load capacity, lowered friction and power consumption and creative designs. This work is governed to perform a parametric characterization, by generating a novel structure on the upper slider surface, which can formally be expressed in micro-machined wavy-form, where the individual and combined influences of various structural design parameters and boundary conditions, on the performance records, are also evaluated. Computations put forward that the contribution of the wave amplitude on power loss values is highly dependent on the level of inlet pressure; higher amplitudes are determined to increase power loss in the lowest inlet pressure case of 1.01, whereas the contrary outcome is determined in the higher inlet pressure cases of 3.01 & 5.01. Designing the slider bearing system, based on optimal load capacity, produced the optimum wave number ranges as 10-45, 7-11 and 5-8 for the pad inclinations of $5^{\circ},\;4^{\circ}$ and $3^{\circ}$ respectively.
Embedded capacitor technology is one of the effective packaging technologies for further miniaturization and higher performance of electric package systems. So we used the 3D EM simulator for embedded capacitor design in 8-layed PCB(Printed Circuit Board). The designed capacitors value are 2 pF, 5pF, 10 pF, respectly. we investigated characteristics of capacitance - frequency and SRF(Self Resonance Frequency) as changing the rate of hight and width of upper pad of embedded capacitors.

In this paper, we propose the design of a dual-band GPS antenna using in-direct feeding pads. The antenna consists of an upper patch for the GPS L1 band, a lower patch for the GPS L2 band, and two pads on the middle layer for feeding the two radiating patches. A hybrid chip coupler with a phase difference of $90^{\circ}$ is employed at the two feeding ports for achieving a broad circular polarization (CP) bandwidth. The proposed antenna shows bore-sight gains of 3.0 dBic(L1) and 5.1 dBic(L2), and axial ratios of 3.3 dB(L1) and 0.3 dB(L2) by measurement. The active element patterns of the fabricated array with 7 elements show bore-sight gains of -0.4 dBic (L1) and -2.4 dBic(L2), respectively. It proves that the proposed antenna structure is suitable for use in GPS array applications.
This study used 3D technology to develop a multi-functional sports brassiere with increased comfort and fit that can be worn as a base layer during exercise or as underwear. A 75A size industrial lingerie figure was used to develop a standard pattern. 3D tools for scanning and pattern making, such as Vivid 910, Geomagic Design X, 2C-AN and Yuka CAD were used. The sports brassiere was designed as a tank top style with dual structure and linings attached to a pad utilized with a sport brassiere mold cup. 3D outer and lining's pattern was differently developed in consideration of the body's curvature with pad's shape and structure. Shoulder and neck part reduction rates were adjusted to increase the neck areas fit that considered the nude pattern's structure due to uncomfortableness felt by wearers who were uncomfortable with the neck areas fit on existing brand products. The reduction rate was also set differently on each part. For example, the reduction rate on outer side panel was set strongly to increase the breast's volume. Two products, developed by a 3D sports brassiere and previously released product, were worn on 8 subjects in their 20's to evaluate fit, comfort, and purchase preferences. The evaluation proved that newly developed 3D products were superior to comparative products. The results of the clothing pressure measurement indicate that the newly developed sports brassiere's front part had less pressure on upper bust and shoulder areas compared to comparative products as well as showed less pressure on the back side, which shows improved wearing comfort compared to comparative products.

In this paper, a C-band 10 W power amplifier with internally matched input and output matching circuit is designed and fabricated. The used power transistor for the power amplifier is GaAs pHEMT bare-chip. The wire bonding analysis considering the size of the capacitor and the position of transistor pad improves the accurate design. The matching circuit design with the package effect using EM simulation is performed. To reduce the unsymmetry of IMD3 in 2-tone measurement due to the memory effect, the bias circuit minimizing the memory effect is proposed and employed. The measured $P_{1dB}$, power gain, and power added efficiency are 39.8~40.4 dBm, 9.7~10.4 dB, and 33.4~38.0 %, respectively. Adopting the proposed bias circuit, the difference between the upper and lower IMD3 is less than 0.76 dB.
Elliptical bearings are widely used for large steam turbines owing to their excellent load carrying capacity and good dynamic stability. Power loss in bearings is an extremely important parameter, especially for high turbine capacities. Optimization of operation conditions and design variables such as bearing clearance and bearing length can reduce the power loss in elliptical bearings. Although changes in the oil supply method have served to increase the efficiency of the tilting pad journal bearing, it has not explicitly improved elliptical bearings. In this study, we verify the static characteristics of an elliptical bearing by changing the direction of oil supply. We evaluate the bearing power loss and bearing metal temperature, and compare the bearing performance and reliability in different test cases. The direction of oil supply is $90^{\circ}$ (9 o'clock) and $270^{\circ}$ (3 o'clock) when the rotor rotates in a counterclockwise direction. We use an elliptical bearing with an inner diameter and active length of 220.30 and 110.00 mm, respectively. Bearing power loss and bearing metal temperatures are measured and evaluated by rotor rotational speed, oil flow rate, and bearing load. The results reveal a 20 reduction in the power loss when the direction of oil supply is 90. Furthermore, the oil film on the upper part of the bearing has a high temperature when the direction of oil supply is $90^{\circ}$. In contrast, when the direction of oil supply is $270^{\circ}$, the oil film on the upper part of the bearing is relatively cold.
This investigation has been conducted based on the medical chart of 344 patients who have been diagnosed of fibromyalgia syndrome during Oct. 9, 1996 through Nov. 20 at the Rheumatism Hospital of H. University located in Seoul. 280 which have been included in the analysis. 1. Only one patient was male in 280 patients, age distribution was from 28 to 76, in which the average age was 52.4. 2. Percentage of treatment duration was 6 months in 46.1%, 3 years in 22.1% and 2 years in 12.5%. Considering these results, it can be predicted that the number of patients might be increased and accumulated in the future. 3. Percentage of patients having primary fibromyalgia syndrome was 39.3%, having combination with osteoarthritis was 36.7% and the rest case have combination with rheumatoid arthritis at the same time. 4. The percentage of cases having patients 10-12 tender points was 37.1%, while the most of cases have pain at 12-19 tender points. The common locations of the tender point were at lateral epicondyle of elbow in 92.0%, at midpoint of upper border Trapezius in 84.8%, at upper part of scapula Supraspinatus in 82.9%, at medial fat pad proximal to the joint line knee in 81.85%, at intertransverse of $C_{5-7}$ Low cervical in 73.4% and at 2nd distal costochondral Junction 2nd rib in 72.0%. And most of the patients had joint functional disability at all in 47.1% with average 2.41 joint functional disability. 5. Age was not a variable influencing the number of tender points and the number of joint functional disability.
A breast model was for the human body was devised by studying a body scan and human body index of a desirable breast type. Thus, when manufacturing various 3D models, these results can accordingly become a fundamental basis for realizing a desirable breast model. This study aims to provide a basic data for designing the cup patterns of brassieres in order to improve the function and wearing comfort. The comfort of three kinds of brassieres were compared: one manufactured by the actual measured size; another manufactured as per the ratio of desirable upper and lower breast lengths; and the third manufactured by the 3D model attained by the desirable human body ratio. In this study, we suggest a process for realizing the desirable breast model using the ratio of bust breadth and waist front length, which are the components for deciding the appropriate position and size of breast, and which are easy to measure. The ideal breast shape is an equilateral triangle formed by connecting the nipple with the center of the clavicle. After deciding the interval between the nipples, this value can be used to configure the locations of nipples by drawing a tangent, with equal length, from the anterior neck point (which is the center of clavicle) to the nipple. Also, since inside points of breast do not exist, the outer point of breast, upper point of breast, and below point of breast on the same plane, and the depths from the nipple point to the respective points, are applied to simulate a 3D image, by modifications along the x, y, and z axes. Depending on the type of breast, the length from the center of shoulder to the nipple, the diameter of breast, upper length of breast, and the position of nipple, are different. In conical or protruding breast, the wearing sensation is better when the nipple point of brassiere was lifted, by modifying the upper and lower lengths of breast. Considering the wearing sensation and function of a brassiere, it was better to leave the wearer's size as it is and use a pad within the same cup, rather than increase the basal area of the breast in order to increase the volume.
We report a surgically challenging case of a large lipoma located from the temple, across the zygomatic region to the buccal area, resembling two different masses. An 82-year-old man presented with two persistently growing soft masses at his left temple and cheek. A computed tomographic scan revealed a single large radiolucent mass extending from the submuscular layer of the left temple crossing beneath the zygomatic arch to the buccal region, rather than two individual masses. Excision was performed through upper gingivobuccal and temporal incisions. The mass was dissected through both incisions, cut in half, and extracted from both sides. No complications were observed. The biopsy result was consistent with a lipoma. Four months later, the scars were inconspicuous, and the patient was satisfied. Considering the size, shape, and location, this is a rare and intriguing case. The bi-directional approach allowed for successful total excision without any complications, leaving inconspicuous scars.
