  • Qualitative research methodology has been applied with increasing frequency in various fields, including in healthcare research, where quantitative research methodology has traditionally dominated, with an empirically driven approach involving statistical analysis. Drawing upon artifacts and verbal data collected from in-depth interviews or participatory observations, qualitative research examines the comprehensive experiences of research participants who have experienced salient yet unappreciated phenomena. In this study, we review 6 representative qualitative research methodologies in terms of their characteristics and analysis methods: consensual qualitative research, phenomenological research, qualitative case study, grounded theory, photovoice, and content analysis. We mainly focus on specific aspects of data analysis and the description of results, while also providing a brief overview of each methodology's philosophical background. Furthermore, since quantitative researchers have criticized qualitative research methodology for its perceived lack of validity, we examine various validation methods of qualitative research. This review article intends to assist researchers in employing an ideal qualitative research methodology and in reviewing and evaluating qualitative research with proper standards and criteria.

  • In our study grazing incidence X-ray scattering (GIXS) measurements with synchrotron radiation sources were conducted statically and in-situ for a series of nanoscale thin films prepared from nanoporous dielectrics, block copolymers, brush polymers, and molecular assemblies. All GIXS measurements were performed at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory. The measured scattering data were analyzed in detail by using newly developed GIXS scattering theory. All GIXS results will be discussed in details with considering the materials chemistry and nanostructure formation process parameters.

  • Using the conventional standard CMOS logic process, the high voltage MOSFET to drive top emission OLEDs was fabricated for the silicon-based organic electroluminescent display. The drift region of the conventional high voltage MOSFET was implemented by the n-well of the logic process. The measurement result shows a good saturation characteristic up to 50 V without breakdown phenomena.

  • It is well-known that bisphenol A(BPA), an industrial raw material for polycarbonate and epoxy resins, shows estrogenic activity. Recent research from our laboratory has shown that SPA disrupts interaction between thyroid hormone and its receptor in a non-competitive manner, and alters the thyroid-hormone dependent expression of growth hormone(GH) and prolactin(PRL). • Many pesticides possess hormonal activity and have been thus classified as endocrine disruptors. Bioallethrin is one of the pyrethroids. synthetic derivatives of naturally occurring pyrethrins. These pyrethroids including bioallethrin have been developed as insectides due to their high insecticidal potency and low mammalian toxicity. Currently, bioallethrin is used to eradicate pests and insects in Korea, providing potential for human exposure. (omitted)

  • We studied hybrid passivation using parylene-C, metal, photoacyl and indium zinc oxide for pentacene OTFT to assure stability in subthreshold region. After the passivation, the changes in S and $V_{on}$ of OTFT were negligible and $I_{off}$ maintained its initial value of ${\sim}10^{-12}$ A. Therefore, the hybrid passivation is suitable for practical applications based on OTFT.
