The bioavailability of rifampicin (brand A, B and C) was studied and the dissolution by foamed plastic rotating method and basket rotating method was also investigated. The results were as follows; 1. In the case of foamed plastic rotating method, it was revealed that dissolution rate of brand C was most rapid, but in the case of basket rotating method the results revealed that brand B was most rapid. Also it was observed that the dissolution rate in artificial gastric juice was more rapid than one in artificial intestinal juice, and that Avicel added in capsule increased additively the dissolution rate, particulary brand B. 2. Relative systemic availability by urine data showed that the results from all capsules filled with brand A, B and C were identical but in the case of the ripamficin capsules filled with Avicel, the results showed that Avicel increased the availability of brand A and B. 3. Area under serum concentration curve $(0{\sim}8hrs)$ was in order of $brand\;A{\fallingdotseq}brand\;C$ > brand B, but Avicel increased significantly the AUC of brand B and showed no effect in others. 4. Relative systemic availability calculated with excreted amount of rifampicin in urine was similar in each rifampicin capsules. In rifampicin (A) and rifampicin (B), Avicel which added in capsules appeared increasing tendency in urine excretion of rifampicin, but in rifampicin (C) it did not appeared. 5. Area under serum concentration curve $(0{\sim}8hrs)$ in rifampicin capsules was in order of $rifampicin(A){\fallingdotseq}rifampicin(C)$>rifampicin(B). In rifampicin (B) with Avicel capsules, area under serum concentration curve (0-8hrs.) increased significantly and in others insignificantly.
Purpose - As society continues to develop and the economy grows, consumer participation in sports activities and consumption of sports-related goods are steadily increasing. Nowadays, Spyder, the sporting goods company has achieved great success in the Korean market. In the launching, Spyder tried to communicate the sport authentic brand value to consumers as successful sporting goods brands did. The purpose of this study is to identify the key factors influencing the successful branding strategies of sporting goods retailers. In the process of value trading to the consumer, the concept of authenticity which includes 'originality', 'truth' and 'genuine' is considered as one of the most important factor for branding. This study tries to define the brand authenticity in sporting goods retailer and to develop measurement scale. This study suggests a new paradigm for sports brand research and implications for management of domestic sporting goods retailer that is losing the direction to develop brand value. Research design, data, and methodology - This research consists of two parts of study. The first study is a qualitative research to define sport brand authenticity and measuring items through expert interviews. The second study is the development of scales to the authenticity. And reliability and validity of the scales are verified by quantitative methods. A total of 500 respondents were surveyed and the statistical tests were conducted by dividing two groups. Results - This study defines the authenticity of sports brand which is divided into four dimensions; behavioral authenticity, performance authenticity, spiritual authenticity and virtuous authenticity. And this newly defined four dimensions measurement tool is proved statistically in this study in terms of reliability and validity. Conclusions - For the success of sporting goods retailers, it is important to understand the value of sport and to communicate it with customers effectively. This study suggests a tool for sport brand authenticity and also significant implications for brand strategies. In addition, every entity which is related with sport can apply the measurement scale of this study to understand their position and find direction in terms of authentic sport value.
Brand Extension is a leading marketing strategy that makes use of brand assets, and it aims to see the success of a new product of a brand by utilizing the level of consumers' brand awareness, loyalty, resemblance, and image. However, the review of previous studies revealed that there were cases of fashion brands extending into coffee brands, but not vice versa. The study aims to suggest a new proposal to extend the coffee brand, the most preferred brand by consumers, to an effective office space service. It proposes making a napping and working area for the working Starbucks lovers who often go business trips and like to work in a private space. The researcher expects that the study will inform about the efficient manner to use office spaces including shared service and area.
This study was to identify underlying dimension of marketing strategy, and to examine effect of the marketing strategic factors on store affect, brand attitude, and brand loyalty in global and domestic SPA brands. Based on pilot study, four SPA brands of which consumers were most aware were selected: Korean SPAs (e.g., Codes-Combine, Basic House) and global brands (e.g., Zara and Uniqlo). A self-administered questionnaire was developed based on literatures. By using intercept survey, 421 respondents were obtained from consumers shopping at the selected SPA retail stores located in cities (Seoul, Daejon, Chongju) in Korea. Result showed that SPA brand marketing strategy consisted of four factors: Product differentiation, store location, in-store VMD, and price value. The marketing strategic factors had partially significant effects on brand attitude, store affect and store loyalty. However, there was significant differences in those effects between global and Korean SPA brands. Specifically, the effect of in-store VMD on brand attitude was higher in Korean SPA brands, whereas the effect of price value was higher in global SPA brand. Also, the price value was significant predictor of store affects in global SPAs, while in-store VMD was significant predictor of store loyalty in Korean SPA brands. This study discussed a managerial implication for creating brand attitude and emotional responses, which obtains comparative advantages in the competing marketplace.

Consumer expectations for ethical businesses have become increasingly high in recent years; the fashion industry is working to implement greater corporate social responsibility (CSR). This study establishes the effects of the evaluation for participation in fashion brand CSR on perceived purchase values. In particular, the process for the evaluation for participation that affect the perceived purchase value through consumer-brand identifications (personal/social) was verified and how the consumer regulatory focuses would influence this process was identified. For this study, an on-line survey was conducted that included a series of filtering questions that measured the level of social concern of respondents. Valid data from 505 female consumers were analyzed for the structure equation modeling. The empirical results suggested that the evaluation for participation in fashion brand CSR positively affected the two dimensions of consumer-brand identification; personal identification and social identification. In addition, consumer-brand identification played a role as a mediating variable in the path to influence the perceived purchase values of CSR brands. Lastly, there were differences in reactions to CSR activities by consumer groups with different regulatory focuses. The effect of the evaluation for participation in fashion brand CSR was shown to be higher for consumers with promotion focuses than on consumers with prevention focuses. The results of this study will help fashion companies understand the importance of the consumer participation in CSR by having consumers participate in ethical consumption.
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of servicescape factors(space, convenience, aesthetics, comfortableness, cleanliness), brand reputation and experiences factors(feel, think, act, relate) on emotional and cognitive reactions of visitors to Korean restaurants. It also investigated the relationship between emotional and cognitive reactions and brand loyalty. A total of 353 questionnaires were analyzed using the factor analysis, a reliability test, and structural equation modeling analysis. The results revealed that space, aesthetics and comfortableness were positively related to emotional reaction, and convenience and cleanliness were related to cognitive reaction. This study also found that brand reputation was positively related to emotional and cognitive reactions. Moreover, it was found that think was positively related to emotional reaction, and feel, think, act and relate were positively related to cognitive reaction. Finally, cognitive reaction was positively related to loyalty. Therefore, Korean restaurant marketers should introduce or strengthen servicescape, brand reputation and experiences, which increases brand attitude or loyalty.
This study was conducted to investigate how consumer global-mindedness affects global fashion out-of-home (OOH) advertising which global consumer culture positioning applies, and to examine the relations among global fashion brand OOH advertising, perceived fashion brand globalness, perceived quality and brand reputation. Data were collected from 238 general people in 20~30s in seoul and were analyzed by using statistic methods such as frequency analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural d modelling by running both SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 7.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First of all, it indicated that the fit indexes were satisfied and the overall model of this study showed a favorable goodness of it from the results of confirmatory analysis. Secondly, consumer global-mindedness had a positive impact on preference towards global fashion OOH advertising. Finally, preference towards global fashion brand OOH advertising positively affected perceived fashion brand globalness, perceived quality and fashion brand reputation. The results implies that it is necessary that fashion brands fully understand consumers' tendency and the benefits of marketing can be maximized through global positioning OOH advertising on subways which makes consumers recognize fashion brands as global ones.
This study investigated the effects of smart phone usage motives and fashion brand app factors upon the intention to accept fashion brand applications. Data were collected from 250 female college students living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. 220 reliable data were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, ANOVA,, Duncan test, paired t-test, chi-square analysis, regression. The results were as follows: Firstly, the 'information acquisition' and the'use of time' were considered to be the most important motive factors driving consumer's smart phone usage. Secondly, the motives underpinning smart phone user's intention to accept a fashion brand application were 'social relationships', 'entertainment', and 'information acquisition'. Thirdly, the frequently used factors during the usage of fashion brand application could be classified in order of frequency as follows: 'product information provision', 'store information provision', 'coordinated information provision', 'fashion information provision', 'entertainment provision', 'hobbies and life information provision', virtual wearing provision', 'SNS provision', and, 'events and coupons provision'. Fourthly, a factor analysis of these nine factors were classified into 'basic information type', and 'additional information type'. The influences of basic information type and the additional information type upon the intention to accept the fashion brand application showed the following significant result: The basic information type had a greater influence upon the intention to accept the fashion brand app.
This day's research analyzed the difference between brand personality, self - image congruity, job satisfaction and their influences towards employees of family restaurants in order to suggest a plan which would induce researcher's interest as well as influencing diversification of management strategies toward dining-out business. The purpose of this research is to analyse the difference between brand personality, self - image congruity, job satisfaction and their influences towards employees of family restaurants. The survey questionnaires were distributed to 300 employees of family restaurants in Seoul from August 1th until August 30th 2009, and 257 of them were used for analysis. The top seven company's were chosen by base on data from 2009 Annual Dinner of the Korea. Statistics handling of this research used SPSS WIN 17.0 statistics package program, which performed frequency analysis, factor analysis, regrssion anlysis. The research result shows, first of all, the relationship between company's brand personality and personal self - image congruity, it shows that the company's brand personality has higher on 'ability/capability, loyalty/fidelity, and strong' the personal self - image congruity appeared higher. The relationship between company's brand personality and social self-image congruity, it shows that the company's brand personality has higher on 'ability/capability and loyalty/fidelity' the social self-image congruity appeared higher. Second of all, in a relation between the self-image congruity and job satisfaction, the personal self-image congruity has shown positive impact on job satisfaction. Third of all, in a relationship between the company's brand personality and job satisfaction, if 'interest or loyalty/fidelity' shows higher on brand personality, than job satisfaction has shown higher.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of relationship and service marketing on the brand interest and behaviors among Korean and Chinese active senior consumers and whether this effect differed between the two groups. A survey was conducted by having participants complete questionnaires administered by a research firm. For empirical analysis, frequency, EFA, CFA, SEM, the metric invariance test, and multiple-group comparison analysis were performed. The analysis results revealed that relationship marketing positively affected both brand interest and consumer behavior. Although service marketing positively affected brand interest, it did not have a significant effect on consumer behavior. In other words, brand interest positively affected consumer behavior through relationship and service marketing. Multiple-group comparison analysis demonstrated that no difference existed between Korean and Chinese active consumers in terms of how relationship marketing affected their brand interest, but a difference existed in how it affected their behavior. Service marketing had a greater influence on Chinese active senior consumers' brand interest than on Korean active senior consumers. However no difference existed between the two groups with respect to how service marketing affected their behaviors. Finally, brand interest had a positive effect only on Korean active senior consumers' behavior through relationship and service marketing, but not on Chinese active senior consumers. In conclusion, relationship and service marketing should be used to enhance the brand interest among Korean active senior consumers, and business activities should be planned by building relationships with Chinese active senior consumers to affect their behavior.
