Little is known about sexual autonomy in the light of human sexual health or sexual behavior. The purpose of this study was to increase understanding of sexual autonomy by developing a scale to measure sexual autonomy in college students. The measure was based on the perspective of human beings as having autonomy. A methodological developmental design was used. The study was done in three steps and included concept development through content analysis of relevant literature individual interviews using open-ended questions with 19 college students, item analysis of data from self report questionnaires for item to total correlation, content validity index by professionals and college students, and factor analysis with principal component analysis. Three groups participated in testing the measurement scale; Group A in 1998, a nationwide convenience sample of college students (n=1,163), Group B, college students in 1999 (n=233), and Group C, college students in 2000 who responded to the measurement scale before and after a sex education program (n=216). A series of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to test validity. For analysis of the questionnaires, statistical methods including reliability (test-retest), item to total analysis, content validity, factor analysis for construct validity and t-test for mean difference according to gender, sexual coitus, previous sex education, and pre-post experiment sex education were used with SPSS 10.0. Results: 1. Two stable factors were extracted and these contributed 48.05% of the variance in the total score. All 13 items loaded above .40 on each factor. 2. Factor I with 10 items was named 'control' and factor II with 3 items and was named 'coping'. 3. Differences in sexual autonomy scores for college students according to their experience showed that there were significantly higher scores for sexual autonomy in the post sex education group(t=-10.841, p=.000), but there were no differences according to whether or not they had previous sex education. Female college students had higher sexual autonomy scores than male college students in A or B group (t=-5.933, p=.000/ t=-1.992, p=.048). 4. Cronbach's $\alpha$ was .8603 for the total 13 items with 1,632 college students, .8739 with 232 students, .8333$\sim$.7647 with pre-post sex education with 216 students. This measurement was found to have a high validity and reliability for measuring sexual autonomy in college students. Therefore, the author recommends that it be used to measure the effects of sex education. It is suggested that further study is needed to analyze the relationship between sexual autonomy and sexual behavior.
Objectives : The purpose of the study is to improve autonomous decision-making ability by analyzing the relationship between autonomy and decision-making ability. Methods : The subjects were 176 dental hygienists in Busan. Self-reported questionnaire was fill out from May 2012 to January 2013. Results : The average of the degree of autonomy was $2.20{\pm}0.29$. Buddhists showed the highest score of $2.37{\pm}0.37$ (p<0.05). Buddhists had the higher education than other religions (p<.05). Clinical decision-making ability was $2.21{\pm}0.25$. Among the subcategories, statistically significant differences (p<.05) was shown by gender, degree of education, and religion in the domain of "Exploration of Choice and Alternatives"; Buddhists showed a higher score in the domains of "Assessment and Re-evaluation of Decisions" and "Review of Values and Goals," with significant difference of p<.05. Autonomy and clinical decision making revealed a positive correlation in the categories "Assessment and Re-evaluation of Decisions" (r=.518, p=.000), "Review of Values and Goals" (r=.610, p=.000), and "Investigation of Information and Synchronization of New Information" (r=.314, p=.000). Conclusions : To improve the performance of dental hygienists, working systems and training will be intensified to develop the autonomy and clinical decision making.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between grit, self-determination, self-determination, positive psychological capital, and relational support of adolescents participating in physical education classes, and to determine whether the positive influence of teachers' autonomy support and enthusiasm for them is confirmed. In this study, the results of the subjects based on the judgment sampling method of 541 adolescents were conducted. The results of the study are as follows. It was found that grit had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on autonomy support. Relationship support was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on autonomy support. Support for autonomy was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on teachers' enthusiasm.
This study aims to provide basic data to increase the happiness of college students by verifying whether a growth mindset moderates the mediating effect of teachers' autonomy support for students in the relationship between academic achievement and happiness. The survey subjects were intentionally sampled from 396 engineering students attending a university in Guangzhou who performed a business practice project. The questionnaire method was used to collect data, and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win. 27.0 and PROCESS macro 4.2. The applied statistical techniques were frequency, reliability, correlation, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The research results are as follows. First, there was a significant positive correlation between academic achievement, teachers' autonomy support, growth mindset, and happiness. Second, a growth mindset played a role in increasing the impact of academic achievement on happiness through teachers' autonomy support. Therefore, it was confirmed that a growth mindset increases the mediating effect of teachers' autonomy support in the relationship between academic achievement and happiness. Based on the research results, measures to improve the happiness of college students were suggested.

The present study examined the causal relationships among nurses' perceived autonomy, job satisfaction, work environment (work overload, role conflict, situational support, head nurses' leadership), personal aspects(experiences, need for achievement, professional knowledge and skill) by constructing and testing a theoretical framework. Based on literature review nurses' perceived autonomy and job satisfaction were conceived of as outcomes of the interplay among work environment and personal characteristics. Work environment factors involved work overload, role conflict, situational support, and head nurses' leadership (task oriented leadership, relation oriented leadership). Personal charateristics included experiences, need for achievement, and professional knowledge and skill. Three large general hospital in Chonbuk were selected to participate. The total sample of 516 registered nurses represents a response rate of 92 percent. Data for this study was collected from July to September in 1998 by Questionnaire. Path analyses with LISREL 7.16 program were used to test the fit of the proposed conceptual model to the data and to examine the causal relationship among variables. The result showed that both the proposed model and the modified model fit the data excellently. It needs to be notified, however, that path analisis can not count measurement errors; measurement error can attenuate estimates of coefficient and explanatory power. Nevertheless the model revealed relatively high explanatory power. 42 percent of nurses' perceived autonomy was explained by predicted variables; 32 percent of nurses' job satisfaction was explained by by predicted variables. Tn predicting nurses' perceived autonomy the findings of this study clearly demonstrated the work overload might be the most important variable of all the antecedent variables. Head nurses' relation oriented leadership, situational supports, need for achievement, and role conflict were also found to be important determinants for nurses' perceived autonomy. As for the job satisfaction, role conflict, situational supports, need for the achievement, and head nurses' relation oriented leadership were in turn important predictors. Unexpectedly the result showed perceived autonomy have few influence on job satisfaction. The results were discussed, including directions for the future research and practical implication drawn from the research were suggested.
There has been a conventional wisdom that a higher level of autonomy of a foreign subsidiary could lead to a higher level of subsidiary performance. Most MNCs seeking for managing localization efficiently followed this wisdom. But there has been no empirical evidence so far in academic journal that there is a clear positive relationship between subsidiary autonomy and performance. Recently most MNCs are trying to pursue a global strategy for managing foreign sudsidiaries, in which the coordination role of parent company is essential. For the MNCs seeking global strategy the coordination role of the parent and subsidiary autonomy appears to have a trade off relationship. It is uncertain in the situation that the positive relationship between subsidiary autonomy and performance is still effective. Therefore the purpose of the study is to provide an empirical evidence of the the hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between subsidiary autonomy and performance, The study utilized the questionaire survey of Korean subsidiaries of MNCs. The empirical results of the study showed the significant positive relationship between two variables, which is cinsistent to the hypotheses.
This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of team system at university hospitals in Korea. Data were collected from administrative and medical support workers at 4 university hospitals through the self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using frequency analysis, t-test, and oneway ANOVA. The results of this study are as follows. First, teams with higher team management characteristics show higher level of quality of work life and performance effectiveness. Second, teams which consist of members with variety background and skills show higher level of quality of work life and performance effectiveness. Third, team which have the higher autonomy, technology variety, job significance, and feedback show higher team effectiveness. Fourth, team which have team leaders with higher leadership score show higher level of quality of work life and performance effectiveness. Fifth, there are differences in team effectiveness in terms of sicio- demographic variables such as average age, position, and tenure of team members, length of team system, and team size. Sixth, the job autonomy of team members and the leadership of team managers have significant effects on the quality of work life variables. Seventh, the leadership of team leaders, job autonomy of members, and individual contact between team managers and members have significant effects on the team performance variables. In conclusion, in order to increase the effectiveness of team system in university hospitals, it is required to consider the characteristics of team management, diversity of team members, the autonomy of team members, the leadership of team manager, and the socio-demographic factors of team members.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the frequency and importance of task performance and the perceived competence to perform of the emergency nurse practitioners (ENPs) certified in Korea. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 41 ENPs certified by March 2012. The questionnaire to identify frequency, importance, autonomy, and perceived competence to perform 131 typical ENP task elements was developed on the basis of the standardized role of an ENP defined by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The professional nursing practice showed the highest scores for performance frequency, task importance, autonomy, and perceived competence to perform as compared to other job categories. Clinical decision making was the most frequently performed duty. Data collection was the duty with highest levels of importance, autonomy, and perceived competence for the ENPs. However, the ENPs reported that research was the duty with the lowest levels of frequency, importance, autonomy, and perceived competence Conclusion: ENPs in Korea perform various tasks. In order to improve their position in the field, it is necessary to clarify their job description and enhance their competence to perform evidencebased professional nursing practices.
This research examines the effects of consumers' moderation and simplicity, autonomy, and income level on happiness, and based on this, classifies consumer types and examines the differences in consumer happiness and life happiness in accordance with this classification. The questionnaire survey was conducted on adults in their 20's through 60's. Moreover, hierarchical regression analysis, cluster analysis, and the analysis of variance were conducted. The results of this research are as follows. First, on consumer happiness, moderation and simplicity, income level, autonomy, education level, and gender had significant effects; on life happiness, moderation and simplicity, income level, autonomy, and education level had significant effects. Second, consumers were classified into three types according to moderation and simplicity, autonomy, and income level, and when making a comparison based on these factors between consumer happiness and life happiness, both consumer happiness and life happiness showed significant differences, but the detailed aspects were different. In the case of consumer happiness, non-autonomous moderation and simplicity type were reported to have the highest sense of happiness, followed by autonomous moderation and simplicity type, and passive moderation and simplicity type, but in the case of life happiness, autonomous moderation and simplicity type were reported to have the highest sense of happiness, followed by non-autonomous moderation and simplicity type, and passive moderation and simplicity type.

In this study, we aimed to identify the relationship between sexual attitude, ego-resiliency, and sexual autonomy in nursing students. The subjects were 226 nursing students who recruited from one college. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program. The sexual attitude was positively correlated with ego-resiliency (r=.169, p=.011). Also, ego-resiliency and sexual autonomy was positively correlated (r=.148, p=.026). Factors significantly influencing sexual autonomy in nursing students were ego-resiliency (${\beta}=.138$, p=.048), sexual characteristic of participant (${\beta}=-.149$, p=.038), and dating experience (${\beta}=.170$, p=.014). This study showed that the nursing intervention for boosting ego-resiliency and sexual autonomy through healthy and sound dating experience should be required in nursing students.
