The concept of intergenerational and intercultural approaches in education and learning are changing nowadays. Intergenerational approach in the third age education and learning programs can be defined as planned activities that link various generations with the goal of exchanging knowledge, experiences and receiving mutual benefits. The goal is to connect people by using mutually beneficial activities that encourage understanding, cooperation and respect between generations, as well as contribute to the society. Intercultural approach in the third age education is connected with activities that link people of various cultures aimed at receiving mutual benefits. This paper discusses the development of third age education in Saint Petersburg, Russia and shows how the intercultural and intergenerational approaches are used in this type of education. The third age universities in Saint Petersburg do not have a lot of experience in this. In the article examples of the using intercultural and intergenerational approaches in the third age education are showed.

The core of the university policy pursued by the Moon Jae-in administration is to strengthen university competencies through the diagnosis of universities. To this end, the word structural reform evaluation is changed to strengthening the basic competencies of universities, and is trying to escape from the past reduction of pro-class capacity. Deputy Prime Minister Kim Sang-gon insisted, "We will improve the university structure evaluation, which is biased toward quantitative quota adjustment, with a diagnosis of basic university competency to support the autonomous development of the university." The Ministry of Education expressed its intention to strengthen the capacity of local universities by saying that it would also consider regional conditions in reducing the university quota due to the decrease in the school-age population so far. In the meantime, as the school-age population declined, the Ministry of Education promoted the reform of the university structure by dividing it into three cycles from 2014. This paper focuses on the problems of diagnosis of education reform and improvement measures, and tries to find out what is the desirable direction for education innovation. This paper studied the structural reform of universities following the decline of local universities. The policy alternatives in this paper are as follows. First, the contents of the government's push for university structural reform were analyzed. Second, we considered the problems of university structural reform. Third, they sought ways to develop local universities and enhance their competitiveness.

The absolute decreasing in the school-age population due to the low fertility rate that has lasted for more than 20 years is a result of the lack of filling in universities. The lack of filling in general universities is more serious in universities of local area than universities in the metropolitan area, and in two-year junior colleges rather than general universities. The purpose of this study is to how the highschool grading system and university rankings have an effect on the lack of filling enterance quota for new students.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of college student gambling experience on the gambling problems. Methods: The study included 260 students from four-year universities in Seoul and Gangwon Province, and collected data from March 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018. The data were analyzed with the SPSS 23.0. Results: First, gambling experience showed high frequency among males (68.5%), 21 years of age and older (45.5%), boarding house (66.1%), and two or more siblings (40.5%). Second, the gambling problem based on the experience of gambling was statistically significant in academic problem, interpersonal relationship, and gambling control. Third, the mental health of the subjects was highly correlated by interpersonal relationship, gambling recognition and academic problem. Also, academic problem was highly correlated in order of gambling control and interpersonal relationship. Fourth, effects of gambling experience on the gambling problems were identified as gambling control, interpersonal relationships, gambling awareness and mental health. Conclusion: Recognize the seriousness of the gambling problem of college students in order to solve the gambling problem, the government, communities and universities should actively promote the harmful effects of gambling and provide regular mental health. education at universities.

Today, further education of adults in the UK is one of the developing areas of continuing education. The Open University with distance learning, in the process of which innovative forms and methods based on computer and telecommunication technologies are used, is particularly successful in the organization of additional education of the adult population. The advantages of distance learning, multimedia - the latest information technologies, which provide the combination of graphic images, video, sound with the help of modern computer tools, are noted. The basic principles and forms underlying the technologies and forms of work with the elderly are defined. The international experience of implementing "Universities of the Third Age" is summarized. The most widespread approach in adult education in Great Britain is informational. The use of computer technologies motivates a new paradigm in educational methods and strategies, which requires new approaches, forms of learning, and innovative ways of delivering educational materials to adult learners. Information technologies have gained great popularity in such activities as distance learning, online learning, assistance in the education management system, development of programs and virtual textbooks in various subjects, online search for information for the educational process, computer testing of students' knowledge, creation of electronic libraries, formation of a single scientific electronic environment, publication of virtual magazines and newspapers on pedagogical topics, teleconferences, expansion of international cooperation in the field of Internet education. The information technology of synchronous distance learning "online" has gained considerable popularity in the educational process today. A promising direction is the use of multimedia technologies in educational activities to create a design of a virtual computer environment by decoding audiovisual information.

This study is a descriptive paper addressing the relationship between test anxiety, self-esteem and the mental health levels of freshmen and third year students of Dental Hygienics. In late 2011, we received a total of 298 questionnaires from freshmen and third year Dental Hygienics students of three South Korean universities, located specifically in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The timing of this questionnaire was significant because it was one week prior to midterm examinations. The results were as follows:1. There was a statistically significant relationship between age (t=3.017, p<.001) and grade(t=2.665, p<0.05), subjective health status(t=27.513, p<.001). 2. The lower the participants' reported mental health in general, the higher their level of test anxiety (r=.565, p<.001), broken down into two subdivisions: cognitive text anxiety (r=526, p<.001) and emotional test anxiety (r=.534, p<.001). 3. When considering the factors that influence the general mental health of participants, there were age differences. For first year students, their subjeetive health status (${\ss}$=-.300, p<.001) and test anxiety (${\ss}$=.530, p<.001) were significant. For third year students, this was also true (subjective mental condition: ${\ss}$=-.242, p<.001 and test anxiety: ${\ss}$=.350, p<.001) but self-worth was also significant (${\ss}$=.377, p<.001). The results of this study suggest that the key factors that influence the mental health level of students Dental Hygienics are test anxiety, subjective appraisal of health level, and general self-worth. A systematic approach is therefore needed to improve students' mental health and reduce test anxiety. Health management programs which address and test students' physical health will also be important in improving student performance and welfare.

This study recognizes the need for Korean university society to have to prepare for the coming of the Fourth industrial revolution era and for rapid decline in the school-age population, and presents a diagnosis of the current situation of the department of domestic library and information science. To respond to such issues, it explores the identity of the department of library and information science, and the future development direction thereof. The findings of this study reveal as of February 2020 that 36 universities offer the department of library and information science, while 18 universities abolished the department. Further, compared to 2013, 2019 saw the number of the students enrolled and full-time faculty decline by 38.5% and 13.4%, respectively. Thus, the identity and future development direction of Korea's department of library and information science were examined by dividing the issue into 5 parts. Five proposals thus were presented: First, convergence education is required at the level of academic identity. Second, at the level of law and state, the department of library and information science, it should be guaranteed that the library and information science should be promoted and that the employment should be stabilized. Third, at the level of association, the social image of the department of library and information science should be enhanced. Fourth, at the level of universities, the support for and promotion of the department of library and information science should be boosted. Fifth, at the level of the department, student-oriented education should be bolstered and the employment rate should be enhanced.

In this study, the technical level and competence of Chungbuk region manufactures were diagnosed and implications for efficiency improvement of cooperation with local universities were derived. The results are as follow. First, in Chungbuk area, 75% of the skilled workers are medium-skilled and high skilled workers. And the life cycle of production products was found to have entered middle/old age. In addition, the industries were overestimating its technology capabilities, including marketing and sales technology, and management technology. Therefore, local universities should develop differentiated program such as technology transfer and commercialization support so that companies can nurture new industries and it is necessary to improve understanding of reality and future prediction ability through various education and seminars. Second, universities in Chungbuk province have failed to meet the practical demands of industry by providing general educational programs such as lifelong education curriculum, rather than the practical training required by industry. First of all, industries needed the practical training programs such as human resource empowerment, technical education and workers' retraining for local industry development. In addition, industries were expected to provide relevant knowledge and infrastructure such as testing, analysis, participation in technology development such as commissioning and joint research. Therefore, universities should prepare customized Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs through industry demand survey in planning. Also, it is necessary to establish various connection points with industry to ensure that industry-academia cooperation will continue and achieve results. Third, the technology of the industries in Chungbuk province was found to be very unrelated to the next generation regional strategic industries. This is not shared vision between industry and local government, Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs will serve as a platform to organize various community entities. Universities will be able to play a key role in between industries and local governments.
This The purpose of this study is to find policy implications through the analysis of the operational cases and establishment performance of the Leading University for startups. The method of the study was statistical analysis using the data generated during the operation of the Leading University for startups. The results of the study show that there is a difference between short-term performance by gender and age. Second, there was no correlation of the short-term performance with the evaluation, but a negative correlation was observed with the detailed document evaluation part. Third, there is no difference in short-term performance depending on the mentor. Strategic utilization is to reduce the reflection of the founder's short-term performance in the appraisal of the Leading Universities. And there is a need to improve the evaluation method for the applicant. The limitations of this study are that it is inadequate to be an empirical study through statistical analysis. And statistical analysis shows that there are not enough cases. Therefore, I will make an empirical study which will expand the number of cases by including cases of several universities in the future.

Purpose: This study examined the factors associated with depression among Korean graduate students. Specifically, personal (self-efficacy, stress), environmental (violence experience, economic state, and relationship conflict), and behavioral (health behavior) factors were analyzed. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study design. One hundred and fifty participants currently enrolled in graduate programs were recruited. Google Drive was used for online data collection. Descriptive statistics, correlational analyses, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. Results: First, 52% of the participants were male, with an average age of 28.05(±3.19). Master's students comprised the largest proportion (63.3%). Approximately about 38.7% were engineering majors. Second, approximately 27.3% had depressive symptoms; and 7.3% had major depression. Third, there was a significant correlation between personal, environmental (financial burdens), and behavioral factors. Fourth, hierarchical regression analysis revealed a lower depression level to be associated with a higher self-efficacy level and health behavior. In contrast, a higher depression level was related to violence experience. Conclusion: The government should press on establishing rules on the prevention and regulation of violence in universities, and impose strong disciplinary measures to root out the problem. In addition, universities must pay attention to the mental health of graduate students and establish systems to manage them.
