The Study of the Nursing Students Lived Experience of Clinical Practice Nursing of Dementia Patients (간호학생의 치매환자 간호 임상실습 체험 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to investigate the reality of nursing students lived experience of clinical practice nursing of dementia patients, which will provide the basic research material to enhance the effect of their clinical practice. Method: Van Manens hermeneutic-phenomenological method has been used to analyze the data. Participants consisted of 8 second-year nursing students who did the clinical practice at a dementia unit in C hospital. Data was collected from in-depth face to face interviews. Result: $\ulcorner$being confused by the unfamiliar environment of nursing practice$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$being disordered about the patients' duality behaviour$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$perceiving necessity to accept patients' behaviors$\lrcorner$,$\ulcorner$feeling personal connections likely to grandmother$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$realizing the patients affection of their family$\lrcorner$,$\ulcorner$being frustrated by the patients' hopelessness$\lrcorner$,$\ulcorner$lessening biased view on dementia$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$feeling the anxiety about the unsecured future$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$realizing the necessity of the gradual and individual care$\lrcorner$,$\ulcorner$understanding the nursing of dementia as comprehensive nursing$\lrcorner$Conclusion: We are able to obtain an in-depth understanding about the nursing students lived experience of clinical practice nursing of dementia patients. Based upon this, there is a need to develop a better nursing intervention in order to enhance the effect of the nursing students clinical practice.

Occupational Health Nurses' Role Experiences (산업간호사의 역할 경험)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe the role experiences of occupational health nurse. The research question was "what are daily experiences in practice?" Methods: The data were collected through the focus-group interviews with nine occupational health nurses and analyzed by the grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin (1998). Results: The core category on occupational health nurse role experience was named as "struggling alone with the dual role". The causal conditions included 'unfamiliar area' and 'new work'. The contextual conditions included 'overload of work, 'tasks beyond OHN job' and 'disharmony with colleagues'. The intervening conditions were analyzed as supportive factors and discouraging factors. There were action/interaction strategies 'getting information about tasks', 'working as a professional', 'establishing a cooperative relationship', 'seeking help' by trying to regulate the phenomenon. Finally they succeed in 'establishing the identity' and 'feeling proud', but sometimes they could be 'suffering from low morale', or 'considering turnover'. Conclusion: Through these results, it can be explained that occupational health nurses have been exerting themselves to establish their role with various situation through the conflicted context. Based on the findings, we suggest developing the diverse continuing education programs to be tailored for OHN's needs and reinforcing the occupational health services under the legal and political support.

Study on the Use of the Constant Comparison Method : Lessons from Training Novice Modelers (지속비교 방법에 관한 연구 : 초심 모델러 교육으로부터의 교훈)

  • Conceptual modeling is a critical activity for developing successful business information systems. The objective of this study is to evaluate the possibility of applying the constant comparison method from the grounded theory to conceptual modeling. To achieve the objective, we trained novice modelers and split them into two groups for evaluation. The experimental results show that applying the constant comparison method could increase acceptability from more experienced conceptual modelers. Moreover, while the control group was experienced difficulties when domain knowledge is unfamiliar, the experimental group could handle difficulties more effectively. In addition, applying the constant comparison method also decreased the time to complete analysis for conceptual modeling.

A Study on Perception and knowledge of 'Renewable Energy' of the Elementary School Teachers (신재생 에너지에 대한 초등 교사들의 인식과 지식 연구)

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate the perception of renewable energy technology among elementary school teachers, and confirm whether elementary school teachers have basic knowledge about renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, and tidal power generation. We conducted preliminary interviews to gather information related to other studies about renewable energy. We developed the last interview question about the perception and knowledge of elementary school teachers regarding renewable energy. This study analyzed the transcribed responses of 10 elementary school teachers in Siheung-city, Gyeonggi-do, following 30-minute interviews. The study's findings are as follows. First, elementary school teachers recognize that they are unfamiliar with concepts and they have only shallow content knowledge about renewable energy. And they tended to distorted to other concepts, and analyze to different meanings. Second, elementary school teachers thought that knowledge about renewable energy should be part of a well-rounded education. And they felt positively about solar energy and wind power energy generation but they had a negative view towards tidal power generation because it destroys tideland. Third, teachers tended to confuse solar heat energy and geothermal energy, they tend to think this two energy sources the same. Teachers had generally correct concepts about wind power energy generation. In the case of tidal power generation, elementary school teachers answered mechanically that it is possible on the western sea, and that 'the difference between the rise and fall of the tide' grows. But they could not talk in depth about 'the difference between the rise and fall of the tide' and the force of waves. This suggests that they are answering by simple memorization and without deep understanding.

  • As the size of software becomes larger and the features of it become complex. it is really hard to successfully complete the project without following development guidelines. Software process is the best practices and procedures that organizations of high maturity and capability of software development carry out in common, and it is a set of progressive ideas of management. However, complicated and unfamiliar concepts can interrupt the introduction and improvement of software process of the organizations. Even though many kinds of frameworks such as standard of process and maturity measurement models are introduced, it is still difficult to follow software process without fully understanding their relations. The purpose of this study is to support successful internalization of organizations that introduce and use software process. It also suggests the design of standard ontology, standard relationship domain ontology, and the lifestyle of software process and the relations between them.

Fashion Design Development applying Expressive Techniques of Depaysement (데페이즈망의 표현기법을 활용한 패션디자인 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to promote the artistic value and formative aesthetic of clothes in daily life through a proposal of inventive fashion design by utilizing Depaysement of Surrealism, which visualizes a more realistically and more specifically than fact in illogical and unfamiliar situation, Focused on details of Korean traditional costume silhouette. The method of this study, the literature and existing researches related to Depaysement were analyzed through theoretical review for establish the expressive techniques of Depaysement expressed in contemporary fashion. Conclusions from this study are as follows: first, the expressive techniques of Depaysement are derived that are 'change of scale', 'change of materials', 'combination of heterogeneous objects', 'arrangement of object in a strange space', 'overlapped object', 'paradoxical image', 'variable awareness of boundary.' Second, expressive techniques of Depaysement present a new methodology which can express an irrational thinking, which is not controled by reason such as unconsciousness, dream, and fantasy etc, in a way that is easier and more realistic rather than thinking centered on an art which is ruled by consciousness. Third, unique and free-form fashion design, which destroys a general idea, was could develop by using abundant materials and composing items borrowed various silhouette for expressive the techniques of Depaysement. Forth, Through this study, the concept of Korean fashion design, that was limited by the standard form when we approach Korean fashion design as identity of social culture, ideology of reflection and expression, object of commercial expression, was could think outside of the box.

Associative Motion Generation for Humanoid Robot Reflecting Human Body Movement

  • This paper proposes an intuitive real-time robot control system using human body movement. Recently, it has been developed that motion generation for humanoid robots with reflecting human body movement, which is measured by a motion capture. However, in the existing studies about robot control system by human body movement, the detailed structure information of a robot, for example, degrees of freedom, the range of motion and forms, must be examined in order to calculate inverse kinematics. In this study, we have proposed Associative Motion Generation as humanoid robot motion generation method which does not need the detailed structure information. The associative motion generation system is composed of two neural networks: nonlinear principal component analysis and Jordan recurrent neural network, and the associative motion is generated with the following three steps. First, the system learns the correspondence relationship between an indication and a motion using training data. Second, associative values are extracted for associating a new motion from an unfamiliar indication using nonlinear principal component analysis. Last, the robot generates a new motion through calculation by Jordan recurrent neural network using the associative values. In this paper, we propose a real-time humanoid robot control system based on Associative Motion Generation, that enables user to control motion intuitively by human body movement. Through the task processing and subjective evaluation experiments, we confirmed the effective usability and affective evaluations of the proposed system.

Experiences of Volunteer Group Activity among Nursing Students (간호대학생의 동아리참여 자원봉사 경험)

  • This study is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach to investigate the meaning of the volunteer experience through group activities in nursing college students. From May 1 to June 12 2015, we collected data from 19 university students who participated nursing group activities at 3 universities and 30-40 minuties 1-3 times depth-interviews were conducted. Research question was, "Did you have any experience as a volunteer through club activities as nursing college students?" Results were obtained for seven central theme; 'Hard to put in unfamiliar situations', 'Crash to limit', 'Pride encroaching in rest of college life', 'To become mature human relationships', 'Found changed myself', 'Access to the majors', 'Pride for the future'. Based on the these results, in order to continous volunteer activities it is necessary to maintain introduce the program that establish commom goals and can solve out of the university and community.

Effects of Communication Oriented Mathematics Lessons on Mathematical Disposition and Academic Achievements (의사소통 중심 수학 수업이 수학적 성향과 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study has investigated the way to improve the communication skills emphasized in mathematics education, and analyzed the effects of Communication Oriented Mathematics Lessons on the mathematical disposition and the academic achievements. For this research, two groups of first grade students from D elementary school in Daegu city were selected which had been proved homogeneous in mathematical disposition and academic achievements via a preliminary test. The experimental group was given Communication Oriented Mathematics Lessons (COML) while the control group was given Traditional Classroom-based Instruction (TCI). COML were given along with first grade, first level mathematics for eight weeks, to improve communication skills of the students who were unfamiliar with mathematical communications. The schemes for the education include revising, summarizing, asking questions, and participating. The results of the study were summarized for mathematical disposition and academic achievements. First, COML is effective to evaluate the will to solve problems in the mathematical disposition of the students, and to make it useful for them to live their lives and to learn other subjects. Second, previous studies have shown contrary interpretations on the effects of COML. This study has found that it does not improve the students' scores on the original form of academic achievement test.

A design of Key Exchange Protocol for User Centered Home Network (사용자 중심의 홈네트워크를 위한 키 교환 프로토콜 설계)

  • In this paper, we define that pervasive home network, which provides necessary services for user properties and removes distractions to improve the quality of human life. So, user can enjoy home network technology including devices and softwares at any place with no knowledge of networked home, devices, and softwares. In this home network, a mobile agent, called LAFA, can migrate to unfamiliar home network and control the necessary devices. For this environment, we design security management module for authenticating user and home server that access some other home networks, and for protecting text, multimedia data, and mobile agent that are transferred between home networks. The security management module is composed of a key exchange management module and an access control management module, for key exchange management module, we propose a key exchange protocol, which provides multimode of authentication mode and key exchange mode. One of these two modes is selected according to the data type.
