  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressional traits and internal meanings of fake design in the 2000s' fashion, based on study of art and design area. For achieving the purpose, this study performed related research works and a demonstrative analysis of fashion collection photographs. The scope of this study is from 2000 to 2009. The results are as follows. Fake design uses trompe-l'oeil which is an art technique related to the meanings of 'deceive or fool the eye'. This eye-deceiving technique has been used for a long time in the art, and particularly noticed as one of techniques of Surrealism. Art works using trompe-l'oeil express familiar and unreasonable world at the same time, and also the fusion of reality and fabrication. Fake design in design area of the 2000s makes people take daily life in unfamiliar way by unusualness and breaking the boundary between real and fake. By fake design, people can enjoy fun and a sense of freedom with amusement rather than unpleasant of being deceived. Fake design in the fashion of the 2000s uses eye-deceiving technique and also focuses on the concept of 'fake'. The expressional traits were categorized as realistic expression, surrealistic expression and fake value expression. The internal meanings were analyzed as breaking boundary between real and fake, rediscover dailiness, new attitude to traditional thinking. In conclusion, fake design in the fashion of the 2000s gives playfulness, fun, feeling of release and will be pursued continually.

  • The use of spreadsheet packages for solving noise control problems has been cited by several authors, eg Saha[1] and Thornton[2]. The effectiveness of using spreadsheet packages compared with the traditional computer programs written in high level languages was demonstrated when applied to relatively simple problems, such as the selection of hearing protectors or the prediction of noise equation which includes logarithmic additions at most represents the physics of the problem. The simplicity of the governing equation together with the requirement to handle a vast amount of data are considered to be the major reasons for noise control engineers to use spreadsheet packages. Although shipboard noise prediction seems to be very complicated, the calculation procedure itself is, in essence, identical especially true for prediction methods based on empirical formulae[3,4], ie the procedure that consists of the three basic elements, ie source, path and receiver. This paper discusses the application of spreadsheet package LOTUS 1-2-3 to shipboard noise prediction problems. A utility program of the package is written using macro functions and is shown to be especially useful for noise control engineers who are unfamiliar with spreadsheet packages. In addition, a new type of empirical formula, to estimate structureborne noise transmission loss, is proposed.

  • Purpose: This qualitative study aimed to understand the experiences of reorganization of everyday lives among the women with chronic health problem. Methods: In this study, the approach and its process of sociology of everyday lives were adopted. Data for the study came from 6 informants and 9 family members of the informants by interview and participant-observation from January, 2004 to May, 2006. Qualitative content analyzing methods were adopted. Results: Informants' everyday lives were reorganized as follows. During the experiences of shock from unpleasant and unclear symptoms of their body, their sight fixed on the body part. Their time also fixed on a point of present. They started to wander from medical care to folk and lay care. After they were informed that the health problem could not be treated completely, they reduced the world of everyday life and protected themselves from the chaotic unfamiliar world by setting -a- side duties as a family member and severing unessential social relationship. As they achieved a skill for managing their health problem, they gained their former pattern of everyday lives as a woman, a family member, and a social member. Finally, they created a new life world. Conclusion: We need more study on the development of an adaptive strategy by the informants, to intervene in the crisis of everyday life.

  • Jeoksimto which was build up as the reinforcement establishment made with the soil under the cornerstone in the site of tile-capped building is the representative construction technique which become popular in the Sabi capital era after the Wungjin capital era. Especially from the fact that no site of tile-capped building with this Jeoksimto has been found in the Silla area, we can see the originality Baekje technique. We can analogize the specialization of Josagong (造寺工) (craftsman building the temple) and the diversity of technique, on the basis of the technique raising the ground level which is different with the middle gate site of Neung-sa and the Hall enshrining Buddha site in Buyeo. Moreover, we can have the confidence the dispatch of craftsman and the transmission of building technique from the Buyeo area to the Iksan area through the fact that the construction techniques of Jeoksimto in both area are almost the same. However the concerns in the construction archaeology are necessary because almost no study for Jeoksimto has been conducted and the term of Jeoksimto also is unfamiliar even if excavation of Baekje Jeoksimto in the several remains.

  • The determination of assembly sequence in general mechanical assemblies plays an important role in terms of manufacturing cost, duration and quality. In the production of ships and offshore plants, the consideration of productivity factors and welding deformation is crucial in determining the optimal assembly sequence. In shipbuilding and offshore industries, most assembly sequence planning has been done according to engineers' decisions based on extensive experience. This may result in error-prone planning and sub-optimal sequence, especially when dealing with unfamiliar block assemblies composed of dozens of parts. This paper presents an assembly sequence planning method for block assemblies. The proposed method basically considers geometric characteristics of blocks to determine feasible assembly sequences, as well as assembly process and productivity factors. Then the assembly sequence with minimal welding deformation is selected based on simplified welding distortion analysis. The method is validated using an asymmetric assembly model and the results indicate that it is capable of generating an optimal assembly sequence.

  • The Korean wintertime Onmapsi Campaign recommends wearing underwear, layered clothing, or thermal accessories in an indoor environment of a lower than room-heating condition. We surveyed 132 government officers, about Onmapsi wearing conditions and campaign satisfaction. The term was found to be unfamiliar to them, even if they wore underwear or thermal accessories as participants in the campaign for the wintertime office of low temperature 18-$20^{\circ}C$. They wore thick shirt/pants or cardigans/sweaters; however, underwear or thermal vests was worn relatively less. They wear 2.9 layers on top and 1.7 layers in bottom in average. They have their own methods to keep the body warm, which are using 1) functional thermal clothing, such as turtleneck shirts of heat technology new material, 2) functional thermal accessories, such as warmer and muffler, 3) functional office goods, such as a thermal computer mouse and blanket on the desk. The campaign requires more advertisement, a revision on the details of the proper wintertime indoor environment, and develops the varieties of Onmapsi apparel.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the concept of reality shock in new graduated nurses. Methods: The hybrid model was used to develop the concept of reality shock. The model included a field study. The participants were 9 newly graduated nurses with a nursing career spanning less than a year. Results: The reality shock in newly graduated nurses was identified to have three dimensions and seven attributes. Specifically: 1) the dimension of performance included two attributes (conflict between theory and practice, and being overwhelmed by the workload), 2) the dimension of relationship included three attributes (loss of support, embarrassment from interference, and relational withdrawal), 3) the dimension of expectations included two attributes(value confusions and incongruity in personal life). Conclusion: Newly graduated nurses' reality shock was defined as a state of incongruence in their entire life that the new nurses experienced owing to value confusions that occurred due to the conflicts between theory and practice in an unfamiliar work environment, getting overwhelmed by the workload, and withdrawing establishing relationships with others due to the loss of support and excessive interference. These findings could help develop intervention strategies to decrease reality shock in newly graduated nurses.

  • Xavier Dolan delves into maternal instinct and sexual identity and the attempt and experiment of his movies are not difficult to understand and not unfamiliar. He communicates with audience through pastiche and self-reflexivity, rather than disassembling and destruction of style and form of existing films. Pastiche is the intertextuality between familiar genres such as film, poem, fashion, music, painting, etc. His films shows the characteristics of postmodernism, which include genre over, de-subjectivity, interest in public culture, and representation of nostalgia. This study recognizes anew the present of postmodernism gradually going out of fashion and analyzes the characteristics of postmodernism and repeated motif in his movies. This study also analyzes Xavier Dolan's interest in social minority and allegorian characteristics through characters appearing in his movies.
