Japan is an advanced Asian country with a young, visual and stimulating culture that fascinates even western countries. The aim of this article was to provide an in-depth understanding of youth subculture as a medium of interpreting contemporary Japanese society and fashion, and understanding the values of Japanese youths today. The study of Japanese culture, youth culture, and Japanese youth subcultures of the 2000s and their clothing styles are based on documentary research and internet research, including a wide range of books and dissertations, and English, Korean and Japanese websites. It studies the unique youth subcultures of the country from the perspective of a Korean researcher who lives in a more fashion-conservative neighbouring country.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how marriage migration females understand and adjust to the culture of family life in Korea. The study was the conducted by extensively interviewing one member from each of a total of 16 women's multicultural families at a daycare center area in Seoul between June 16, 2010 and July 28, 2010. The results can be summarized as follows: All interviewees were marriage migration females, in the range 20 to 50 years of age, and with middle educational backgrounds. They all had middle-level incomes. Through the content analysis of the informants' responses, three major factors were found to influence the understanding and adjustment of to the culture of family living: personal factors, familial support, and sociocultural support systems. Among the personal factors, the intimacy of the married couples was trouble major factor. An issue that tended to arise was that Korean husbands' traditional culture in terms of their way of thinking was often different from that of the wife's culture. However, husbands supported their wives' outside activities and friendships in order to help them adjust to the culture of family living. The husbands made an effort to understand their wives' original culture and national food, often visiting restaurants that served their wives' national cuisine. In terms of familial support, the most important factors affecting marriage migration females were orienting the education of children to the mother's native language, cooking their national foods, and visiting the mother's nation with the children. Marriage migration females had the following requires: The teacher in the daycare center needed to be interested in children from multicultural families and encourage self-pride in the marriage migration females' children. In terms of sociocultural support systems, marriage migration females are conscious of the indisposition and lack of consideration in Korean life. However, the Korean government and local provinces are concentrating attention on education for marriage migration females in terms of language, because learning the language can help these women to become accustomed to the rituals of Korean life. Marriage migration females make an effort to understand and adjust to Korean family living culture that involves the food culture for ceremonial occasions, folk plays, and places of historic interest. A matter of importance is Korean people's effort to understand and adjust to multicultural family with their distinctive cultures. Welfare policy related to multicultural families involves adopting supportive laws and actions.

In these days, science is too complex and comprehensive scientific practices to be reduced to scientific knowledge. Also it's actors go beyond the limit of scientist society to the broad range of supporting system scientific journalism, education, and business. Science is very important cultural practice of our times. This Study focus on the effect of interdisciplinary approach in understanding modern science culture. First, this paper suggest the approach of public understanding of science(PUS) as a framework PUS has provided new perspectives for the relation of scientific knowledge and understanding. Traditional approach(so-called 'deficit model') regarded understanding as mere transportation of scientific knowledge. So it may be called 'knowledge-oriented approach' to understanding. But PUS consider understanding process of 'dynamic reconstructing' which is occurred in complex socio-cultural context. Second, this article analysis the Korea University STS course(2002-2003) 'Science Technology & Society' as the case study. The case study examine how interdisciplinary approach help students to understand 'sciene in the making'.

The purpose of this study is to prove that interchange is the a key factor in costume style changes through case analysis in costume culture interchange, and further, to assist in gaining understanding of costume style changes of the present and the future. Study findings show that the pattern of acceptance of costume interchange was mostly integration, though it was influenced by the method of transmission. The integration is a process in which a foreign costume culture is constructively mixed into the existing one, and a factor that changes the existing costume culture.

The relationship between film and culture is established through a shared focus on people's lives. Culture changes at different times, which makes a dynamic and complex relationship between film and culture. Understanding this relationship helps to provide better support for current filmmaking. The purpose of this study is to provide insights into the macro issue of film and culture by exploring the relationship between film theme and culture concept. To this end, we used a case study to explore the connection between themes and culture concepts in Disney's Mulan (1998, 2020) through literature and analyses of culture concepts (Chinese "imagery" and Postmodernism). The study concludes that, "Culture assemblage" and "Vision is king" have become cultural trends that influence the creation of film theme and style to a certain extent; how to balance the relationship between the core idea of film theme and the external forms is an important issue in current filmmaking. The article contributes to promote thinking about culture in film creation, and its research perspective on different cultures and histories is innovative.

What is the impact of intercultural understanding and communication on a 'foreign' company's performance? We suggest that a firm's localization is a bilateral process requiring mutual understanding and respect of the foreign and indigenous cultures. To assess this argument, we investigate the relationship between mutual understanding (measured by power distance, communication satisfaction, and cross-cultural understanding) on organizational performance at Korean firms employing Indonesian workers in Indonesia. Survey and statistical results indicate that firm performance was negatively affected by power distance and positively affected by cross-cultural understanding. The results suggest a new perspective on enhancing the organization's performance for overseas operations. While it is necessary for Korean investors to understand local culture, educating local managers on Korean culture better enhances organizational performance.

The purposes of this study were to examine understanding, attitudes, and behaviors of college students regarding the nutrition labels of food package and the relations among these factors and demographic background such as educational experience with label, major, home place and parents' status. The study was surveyed 471 undergraduate students enrolled in general education classes at local university. Generally, college students could understand nutrition label. Nutrition related class in college didn't influence Nutrition label understanding, use and purchasing behavior. Students whose mothers with higher than college education level and professional work showed strong dependability on nutrition label. Label use, understanding and purchasing behaviors significantly associated with gender of subjects. All the subjects looked at the amount of sodium most frequently among all the nutrients listed on the food package(88.8%). Of all the food labels, the manufacturing date(25.1%) was considered the most important and the refund and exchange(12.9%) was considered the least important information. This paper suggested that nutrition education program for college students needs to be developed in series from elementary school curriculum and to enhance the use of nutrition labels.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual status of antithrombotic management before and after the procedure or surgery, the difference between the duration of medication suspension by clinical and demographic characteristics, and the patient's understanding and satisfaction after medication management by a dedicated nurse. The results were as follows. The most commonly used antithrombotic agents were aspirin and flavitol. The drug discontinuation period according to antithrombotic, procedures, and underlying diseases, there was a significant difference in duration for each variables(p<.000). In the case of antiplatelet drugs, 5-day suspension was the most frequent, and anticoagulants 2-day suspension was the most frequent. Depending on the procedure,colonoscope,nucleoplasty,rotator cuff repair,and total knee arthroplasty commonly showed more than 80% of 5-day discontinuation. The differences according to underlying diseases are as follows. 64.7% of all diseases discontinued on the 5th. The patient's understanding of the nurse's medication management performed before and after the procedure was found to be lower in Angina patients than those with other diseases. In terms of age, those in their 50s showed higher understanding than other age groups. There were no differences in understanding and satisfaction with the remaining characteristics.

This case study examines language learners' oral interactive practices and what they learn along with these practices. Language learners who study abroad take on the challenge of living in a foreign place and undergo difficulties in communicating and interacting with people in their new country. These difficulties, caused by cultural differences, are experienced most particularly in their daily interactions. Language learners' trials and efforts to learn English while dealing with a different culture and the difficulties are mainly observed for this paper. The process of learning a second culture is closely related to the process of learning a second language. Oral interactive practices can give the study abroad language learners opportunities to learn their target culture. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to discuss how participating in interactive practices assists the learners in understanding their target culture while they deal with their difficulties inherent in studying abroad. This study adds weight to the notion that culture is an essential and major factor in learning a language, and that only active participation in interactions can be effective in learning both a language and its culture.
