The effects of time-sampling on nonlinear output regulation problem is investigated. Output regulatedness is preserved under time sampling as in linear systems, however output regulatability is not robust with respect to time-sampling, and thus one needs to seek an approximate nonlinear sampled-data output regulator.

A reliability Acceptance Sampling Plan (RASP) is developed for testing the exponential mean lifetime under the periodic (i. e., equally-spaced) inspection and Type I censoring. Under the periodic inspection, the exact sampling distribution of maximum likelihood (ML) estimator of mean can not be derived. Hence sample size and acceptance criterion are determined by the algorithm proposed on the basis of Monte Carlo simulation such that the producer's and consumer's risks are satisfied for given censoring time and number of inspections. In addition, the developed RASP is compared in terms of sampling size, OC curve, and expected completion time. The effects for the RASP by the chosen inspection scheme are also discussed.

이분형 자료의 분류에서 자료의 불균형 정도가 심한 경우 분류 결과가 좋지 않을 수 있다. 이런 문제 해결을 위해 학습 자료를 변형시키는 등의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 이분형 자료의 분류문제에서 불균형을 다루기 위한 방법들 중 표본재추출 방법들을 비교하였다. 이를 통해 자료에서 희소계급의 탐지를 보다 효과적으로 하는 방법을 찾고자 하였다. 모의실험을 통하여 여러 오버샘플링, 언더샘플링, 오버샘플링과 언더샘플링 혼합방법의 총 20가지를 비교하였다. 분류문제에서 대표적으로 쓰이는 로지스틱 회귀분석, support vector machine, 랜덤포레스트 모형을 분류기로 사용하였다. 모의실험 결과, 정확도가 0.5 이상이면서 민감도가 높았던 표본재추출 방법은 random under sampling (RUS)였다. 그 다음으로 민감도가 높았던 방법은 오버샘플링 ADASYN (adaptive synthetic sampling approach)이었다. 이를 통해 RUS 방법이 희소계급값을 찾기 위한 방안으로는 적합했다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 몇 가지 실제 자료에 적용한 결과도 모의실험의 결과와 비슷한 양상을 보였다.

In general, the solvability of linear robust output regulation problem are not preserved under time-sampling. Thus, it is found that the digital regulator implemented by itme-sampling of anlog output regulator designed based on the continuous-time linear system model is nothing but a 1st order approximation with respect to time-sampling. By the way, one can design an improved sampled-data regulator with respect to sampling time by utilizing the intrinsic structure of the system. In this paper, we study the system structures which it is possible to design an improved sampled-data regulator with respect to sampling time.

The problem of sub-Nyquist nonuniform sampling for the perfect reconstruction of signals with time-varying spectral contents is studied. The signals are assumed to have a known instantaneous bandwidth in time-frequency domain. As the function of time, the nonuniform sampling pattern of a given signal, that is, the instantaneous sampling frequency is determined by the observation of instantaneous bandwidth based on time-frequency analysis. The proposed sampling pattern guarantees the perfect reconstruction of nonuniform sampled signals under Nyquist-sampling rate in average.

In this paper, we investigate the sampling theorem for frame in multiwavelet subspaces. By the frame satisfying some special conditions, we obtain its dual frame with explicit expression. Then, we give an equivalent condition for the sampling theorem to hold in multiwavelet subspaces. Finally, a sufficient condition under which the sampling theorem holds is established. Some typical examples illustrate our results.

Large frequency limiting distributions of two errors in realized covariance are investigated under noisy and non-synchronous high frequency sampling situations. The first distribution characterizes increased variance of the realized covariance due to noise for large frequency and the second distribution characterizes decreased variance of the realized covariance due to discretization for large frequency. The distribution of the combined error enables us to determine the sampling frequency which depends on a nuisance parameter. A consistent estimator of the nuisance parameter is proposed.

This paper considers the problem of testing a one-sided hypothesis under the generalized sampling plan which is defined by a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials. A certain lexicographic order is defined for the boundary points of the sampling plan. It is shown that the family of probability mass function defined on the boundary points has monotone likelihood ratio, and that the test function is uniformly most powerful.

In this paper, we propose a randomized response model with discrete quantitative attribute by three-stage cluster sampling for obtaining discrete quantitative data by using the Liu & Chow model(1976), when the population was made up of sensitive discrete quantitative clusters. We obtain the minimum variance by calculating the optimum number of fsu, ssu, tsu under the some given constant cost. And we obtain the minimum cost under the some given accuracy.

Three types of warranty policies are considered. They are (1) free warranty policy for repairable products, (2) free warranty policy for nonrepairable products, and (3) rebate warranty policy. Under each warranty policy, a single sampling attribute plan with non-destructive testing is considered. A sampling plan is characterized by the sample size and the acceptance number. For each case, characteristics of an optimum sampling plan are discussed and determined, which minimize the warranty cost and the corresponding quality control cost within the assigned producer's risk and consumer's risk.
