  • A u-city is a vision of a city with computers and sensors built in to its infrastructure, and data sharing among the various information systems. A u-City provides several u-City services to the u-City clients. The u-City services for local governments contain two types of functions: common function and specified function. It is needed a study on generation of specified service models of local governments. The proposed service model divides functions of the city into two service areas: common support service and specified support service. And we suggest the way to generate the u-services of each local government in this paper.

  • Recently, it is emerging in computing industry related ubiquitous. Also U-Healthcare system develops rapidly based on this trends. It is required system of health-status information to check user's health information on real-time and wireless network environment. Consequently, in this paper propose a health-Information system based on wireless and real-time environment. It can check a tremor pulse with method of photo-plethysmography. It convert pulse state information into 2-dimension bar code in order to confirm health information using mobile and also this system provide service of pulse visual record and explanation from specialist with MMS.

  • IT technologies applied in the urban places are being promoted in each area. Especially infrastructure is performed in the central role of technical support in urban area. However, u-City infrastructure has lack of integrated way and concentrated on only feasible technology which cause frequent substitution and the nested technology in urban area. Therefore this study sheds light on infrastructure through a overall considerations of urban compositional elements and interactions, and apply technology in the process of the industrial era, the domestic supply of urban infrastructure and the cycle comparison-analysis deal with the domestic implications when applied. The results of the study, first, the u-City infrastructure should be supplied by public. Second, u-City infrastructure is in need of the agile character, and standardization of the subtleties is needed. Third, a new system of integrated-macroscopic perspective should be established by changes that influenced by convergences of IT technologies and infrastructures. Fourth, u-City infrastructures planning should consider interactions of services, devices and systems.

  • With the advancement of ubiquitous computing technology, u-Healthcare (i.e. ubiquitous health care), is regarded as a key application for information society, which provides health management service at anytime in anywhere. To implement U-Healthcare system, it is essential to monitor stable biological information in daily life. In this paper, we proposed a small size, light weight, patch type real time temperature monitoring system based on wireless sensor network (WSN) technology to monitor patients' body temperature without any inconvenience of activity.

  • u-Health 관련 보건 비용의 지속적인 증가와 건강 및 사전예방에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 온라인을 통한 건강 상담, 정보제공, 동영상 서비스 및 e-commerce등 건강 관련 서비스 시장 확대가 되고 있으나 국내 의료산업은 원무행정 분야에 대한 초기 정보화 단계에 있다. 또한 대학/종합병원들의 IT예산은 급속히 증가하고 있으나, 종소형 병/의원/약국의 경우 IT 투자예산 확보 문제가 있다. 이를 대처하기 위해 u-Health와 Wellness를 통합함으로써 BT, NT 및 IT 관련 기술을 활용하여 u-Fitwellness 시스템을 구축 ubiquitous 네트워크를 통해 고객에게 건강과 의료관련 서비스, 제품, 정보를 제공함으로써 개인의 삶의 질을 향상함으로써 홈 네트워킹 기반 u-Health Total solution을 통한 융합형 서비스 시스템을 제안 하고자 한다.

  • 유비쿼터스 IT시대에 우리사회가 적절하게 대응하여 국민의 삶의 질을 향상시킴은 물론 새로운 성장 동력을 마련하는데 도움을 줄 수 있도록 u-City 서비스에 개발에 대한 움직임이 강하게 일고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 u-City내에서 발생할 수 있는 교통상황에 대하여 시민들에게 정보를 제공 할 수 있도록 교통정보관리 서비스에 관한 정의서를 작성 하였다. U-Transportation 교통정보관리 서비스의 프로세스, 서비스 주요기능을 정의하고, 비즈니스 모델 및 R&R, 시스템 구성 및 주요 기술, U-Space 공간적용을 분석하였다. 이를 통하여, u-Ctiy 내의 새로운 서비스 모델을 적용하고자 한다.

  • U-Health is abbreviated from ubiquitous Health. Its final aim is "to improve the quality of life. To realize it, it is needed to generalize IT infrastructure such as the development of information-technology and construction of network. It is guaranteed to get medical care benefits unconsciously every time and everywhere based on this system. In this study, the environment of unconscious measurement was set up through ultra-violet instead of the existing Probe to wear with finger to follow this. TFT-LCD was included into module for display. U-Healthcare focused on the minimization and portable characteristic through the designed Zigbee communication module. Handled healthcare device was developed based on the U-Healthcare.

  • In this paper, we will introduce our approach for composing operation based on user tasks. It is based on Service Component Architecture (SCA). In addition, we developed ontology based on OWL and the MIT process handbook, called u-TO(universal task ontology), which can be used for users describing and specifying semantically their needs. We represent the hierarchy of tasks, and classify tasks according to views in u-TO. It aims at facilitating the modeling of complex demands or systems without regarding details of technical aspects of underlying infrastructure.

  • This paper introduces domestic and international trends and researches related with U-Greenhouse systems. USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Networks), along with the development of networks as well as science and technology, is a new computing paradigm which is the convergence of user-oriented physical activity space and virtual space of electronics and computing and also provides services according to change in surrounding environment at anytime and anywhere. The U-Greenhouse system is to apply USN to agricultural production, logistics and distribution management which are relatively insufficient to utilize IT technology. Thus, applying u-IT technology to agriculture can reinforces international competitiveness of the agricultural sector through the effects such as cost cutting as a rise in output, logistics and distribution management.

  • In this paper, we investigate the national effects of the ubiquitous industry(UI) for a u-Korea(ubiquitous Korea) project. As the UI has now been playing the more and more important role in Korean economy, it will be very appropriate to provide the policy makers with the accurate and reliable implications regarding the role of UI in the national economy. This paper applies the interindustry analysis to examine the impact of UI under the unique situation of Korea. To do this, we use the Input-Output Table published by the Bank of Korea in 2000. Our results shows that the economic effects of UI on the production-inducing, value added-inducing, export & import-inducing and employment-inducing in Korea will approximately be 240 trillion won from 2005 through 2010.
