In recent decades, RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology has been recognized as one of the most core competencies in implementing ubiquitous society. However, Korea has not seen good success in diffusion of RFID even though Korean government continues funding many projects to diffuse the technology in industries. Most previous researches overestimate the growth of Korean RFID market in contrary to real market situation. This study aims to analyze the Korean RFID market and find a reasonable forecasting model for it. Our experimental results show that Bass forecasting model provides the more realistic estimates than any other models and the analyses of forecasting error provide useful information for the better forecasting. We also observed that government policy plays a crucial role in the diffusion of RFID technology in Korea.

Ubiquitous computing environment means the computing environment that has taken its position so closely with the ordinary living so much like air or water. In building up the U-Korea, one of the important issues is the social issue from the drastic increase of senior population. The contemporary society has its distinct trend in increase of senior household following the nuclear family orientation, increase of working parents with the advancement of women in society, unable to support seniors for long distance or short distance of business trip and other reasons that the need of senior welfare has been ever more felt. Accordingly, the Ministry of Government Affairs and Home Administration has developed the wireless paging system to make prompt response system for 119 Rescue when the single senior is encountered with emergency situation that is has been widely provided for the socially neglected people such as single senior, the disabled persons and others. Currently, the wireless paging system is operated as the sub-system for emergency rescue information system, but due to the lack of reliability of product, problems of terminal portable transmitter, receptor and others, rejection of beneficiary and lack of knowledge in use, insufficient management and supervision of managing officers, the efficiency has been declined that there is a need of development for the system. Therefore, this study proposes the context aware information structure of the subject of ubiquitous wireless paging system required for the development of the wireless paging system model of ubiquitous environment that improved the problems of currently operated wireless paging system.

This research dealt with the methodological procedures of ubiquitous sensor networks, applying to urban ground facilities. Recently Korean government established a guide, "u-City IT Infra guide v1.0" when promoting u-City implement projects. This guide conceptually included general processes about u-City mainframe in overall, but its guidance could not lead the detailed procedures and methods for specific ground facility. Therefore, this research proposed the details of the procedure for the intelligence of facilities after reviewing the existing procedures for ubiquitous city. Newly proposed procedure for the intelligence of facilities was consisted of selection of facility and sensors for intelligence, setting a level for intelligence, and suggestion of service model for the selected facility.

As the number of disaster-related damage has been continuously increased despite various effort of the government, it is essential that ubiquitous IT which is rapidly advancing in recent years be utilized to enhance the efficient, scientific and systematic disaster management system. Though the command control GPS system and the 119 report system were adopted in 2008 and have been in operation, the effectiveness of the systems are imperceptible. This study is aimed at suggesting an effective disaster management plan throughout precedent studies and empirical analysis of the ubiquitous 119 report system. According to the study, it is considered to apply UIT to expansive field for disaster management since it showed that applicability, suitability, readiness of information acquisition and interests in utilizing are highly recognized. The command control GPS system can be vastly effective if we secure swiftness of information delivery.

This study suggests ubiquitous railway disaster prevention system that gearing Ubiquitous Sensor Network system information take to the subway fire accident information which emergency response procedure as occurring subway fire accident scenario. Also it is proposed that emergency response system though fire scenario. collected Information was analyzed each system over providing information and it is designed to exchanging information structure though relation system. The ubiquitous railway disaster prevention system basically consists by four unit stages as prevention, preparedness, response and recovery system. Especially, in this system can supply real time accident information to the relevant government offices and public through forecasting and warning system by utilizing recognition of the five senses in case of accident. also, it is build that to make decisions as linking 2-dimension and 3-dimension space information interface of ubiquitous sensor networks and expected scenarios.

Government is supporting development of home networking. But, this new system is much expensive to introduce in the home. And limit for establishment is so many in the home. Therefore, in this paper, We escape from monotonic control of Home Automation and draw a plan Intelligent Home Automation to be developed. We reflect Home Network to the foundation and propose Home Automation on Ubiquitous Sensor Network, We Design of Ubiquitous Home Automation System for 35-Pyung Apartment Based on USN Environment. This becomes the Home Automatic Behavior System which is executed to the automatic to be improved.

The Korean government is building several futuristic cities, ubiquitous City (u-City), with the latest information technology (IT) infrastructure and "ubiquitous" environment. In the "u-City", Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) will be one of the important services. This study proposed a traffic responsive urban traffic control system applicable in those u-City, using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to get traffic information. And, we proposed a predictive control model using the real time traffic information achieved from the proposed system. A simulation example is provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed system and model.

The Location Based Services (LBS) comprise spatial information and mobile technology allow users to receive various services based on Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Although, spatial information based services are very useful, it has lots of possibility to damage privacy protection. But the contents of the legislation by government have problems conflicted between protection of a person's location information and invigoration LBS. Therefore, in this study suggest a causal model to deal with user satisfaction and factors affecting spatial information based services to customer perspective. The proposed research model is tested empirically with one hundred and forty one usable questionnaires and partial least square (PLS) method. Experimental results showed that the usefulness, playfulness, and service quality play a prominent role in influencing the spatial information services satisfaction compared to other factors. But, easy of use and perceived risk are not significant.

Information technology is a useful strategic weapon that can create competitive advantage and new business opportunity by applying it in the organization' value chain. IT convergence can be understood as an attempt of industrial level IT adoption to facilitate the innovation of the industry and the birth of a new industry. This study provides the comprehensive review of the Korean government' three IT assimilation programs, ubiquitous technology diffusion program of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, u-service program of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, and u-Defence cooperation program of the Department of Defense. The analysis is done through the interpretation of the existing literature and the logic model. The result proposes inter-agency cooperation and building of new technology road-map in the planning stage, flexible management in the execution phase, and failure tolerant evaluation system. The proposal for developing competencies and institutional foundations for IT convergence also presented.

The vision of u-City is an implementation of ubiquitous environments that makes anybody to be able to access the source of information and knowledge in anywhere and anytime with any methods. We need to improve the related law and institution with standardization of u-City service to regulate and coordinate diversity of main organ and business area.
