전자선 및 자외선 경화형 방무코팅용 모노머의 합성 및 물성비교 (Synthesis and Comparison of EB- and UV-curable Monomers for Anti-fogging Coatings)

  • 분자 내에 방무기능을 부여하기 위한 수산기와 전자선(EB) 및 자외선(UV) 경화가 가능한 아크릴레이트 관능기를 갖는 1관능성 및 4관능성 방무제 AF-1과 AF-2를 합성하여 EB 및 UV 경화시스템에 적용하였다. 합성된 AF-1과 AF-2를 UV 경화시스템에 적용하여 도막의 방무특성 및 경화물성을 측정한 결과, AF-1과 AF-2 함량을 5:17.5의 비로 함유한 배합이 표면과 내부경도, 내화학성 및 접착력이 저하되지 않으면서 김서림 방지 특성이 우수한 최적배합임을 알 수 있었다. 이 최적배합을 EB 경화시스템에 적용하였고, EB 및 UV 두 시스템에 의해 이루어진 코팅배합물을 PC sheet에 코팅하여 도막의 방무특성 및 경화물성을 비교 연구하였다. 그 결과 EB 및 UV에 의해 경화된 두 시스템 모두 우수한 방무특성을 나타냈으나 EB 시스템이 UV 시스템보다 더우수한 내부경도, 접착력 및 젖음성을 나타냄을 확인하였다.

콜로이드 실리카를 이용한 UV 경화형 친수성 코팅 도막 제조 (Preparation of UV-Curable Hydrophilic Coating Films Using Colloidal Silica)

  • 알코올에 분산된 콜로이드 실리카를 아크릴 단량체인 pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETA)와 혼합시킴에 의해 UV 경화형 친수성 코팅 용액을 제조하였다. 또한 이 친수성 코팅 용액을 PC 기재 위에 스핀코팅 시킨 후 10 min 동안 UV 경화시킴에 의해 친수성 코팅 도막이 제조되었다. 이 과정 중 코팅 용액 중의 콜로이드 실리카 양을 10~50 g으로 변화시켜 코팅 도막의 친수성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 코팅 용액 중의 콜로이드 실리카 양은 코팅 도막의 친수성에 큰 영향을 미치며, 콜로이드 실리카 양이 30 g인 경우에 $37^{\circ}$의 가장 낮은 접촉각과 H의 우수한 연필경도를 나타내었다.

자외선 경화형 유/무기 코팅제의 복합 필름 특성 (The hybrid film characteristics of UV-curable organic-inorganic coating solutions)

  • UV-Curable hybrid coatings were synthesized to improve the surface properties of plastic film. Organic-inorganic coating solutions were prepared by the sol-gel method using urethane-acrylate oligomer, acrylate monomer, photo initiator and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS). Methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MPTMS) was used as a silane coupling agent to improve chemical interaction between inorganic phases and UV curable acrylate. In this study, the surface hardness and adhesive properties were improved with the use of inorganic component. The experimental results showed that UV-Curable hybrid films containing aliphatic urethane oligomer, hexanedioldiacrylate, trimethylolpropanetriacrylate, hydroxy dimethyl acetophenone exhibited good surface properties. Also, the optimum curing conditions were investigated.

자외선 경화형 고경도 PET 필름의 제조 및 특성 (Preparation and Properties of UV Curable Hard Coating Materials on PET)

  • UV curable transparent hard coating materials have been developed to improve the mechanical and optical properties of PET substrate. The coating materials were synthesized using various urethane acrylate oligomers, monomers, photo initiators, and leveling agents. The materials were coated on PET substrates and UV cured. The hard coated PET films were shown to have the good scratch resistance and transparency. When the urethane acrylate oligomer with more functional groups was introduced into the coating solution, the mechanical and optical properties were improved. However the higher concentration of 9-functional oligomer resulted in the decrease of workability. The addition of trimethylolpropane ethoxylate$(EO/OH)_9$ triacrylate(TMPETA) to coating solution improved the workability and properties. As a result, the UV cured film from the formulation of urethane acrylate oligomer with 9-functional groups, TMPETA as a monomer, IRACURE 754 as a photo initiator and BYK-340 as a leveling agent showed the best mechanical and optical properties in this study.

UV-curable polyester-acrylate coating with antimony doped tin oxide nanoparticles

  • Antimony doped tin oxide (ATO) nanoparticles were added as nanofillers to UV-curable polyester-acrylate (PEA) resin for coating to improve thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties. In this study, ATO nanoparticles were grafted by 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane respectively to improve dispersion and interfacial adhesion. The physical properties and surface scratch hardness of the UV-curable nanocomposite coating were improved considerably by introducing the modified ATO nanoparticles.

플라스틱용 자외선경화형 도료의 물성연구 (Physical Properties of UV curable coating on plastic)

  • To investigate in influence of photosensitizer used with benzophenone(BP) in the curing rate and physical properties of UV curable hard coating on plastic, we prepared UV curable clear and pigmented coatings with DEA, DMA, NPM and TEA as photosensitizer, respectively. The curing rate calculated from the decrease of the absorbance of acrylic double bond measured by FT-IR spectroscopy increased s follows; DEA>DMA>NPM>TEA. this order could be explained by the reactivity of diethylamino group of DEA and the ease of formation of activated complex between BP and photosensitizer during the curing process. In UV curable pigmented coatings, the order of curing rate increased as follows; DEA>DMA>TEA>NPM. It was found that the curing rate of the pigmented coating can be increased by light scattering of TiO$_2$. The hardness of coating film cured by photosensitization of DEA and DMA is higher than other photosensitizers due to the crosslinking reaction of DEA and DMA radical bound to polymer backbone.

The Coating Performance of UV Curable Urethane Acrylate Coatings for Fancy Veneer Overlayed Plywood Flooring

  • The goal of study was to investigate the influence of the acrylated urethane oligomer on mechanical properties, the chemical resistance and thermal resistance of the UV curable urethane acrylate coatings for fancy veneer overlayed plywood flooring. The pencil hardness and abrasion resistance of the coated fancy veneer overlayed plywood floorings increased with increasing the acrylate functionality of the acrylated urethane oligomer. In the case of the UV cured film containing hexa-functional acrylated aliphatic urethane oligomer, high discoloration of the coated fancy veneer overlayed plywood flooring was observed near the cracks at the beginning of the chemical treatment. In this study, it was found that the degradation of the UV cured film caused by an alkaline reagent was higher than that of the UV cured film caused by an acidic treatment.

  • UV-curable resin has the properties of quick-drying, thigh productivity at low temperature, energy savint, space saving, solventless, non-polluting and low-stinking, and thus, UV-curing system has been widely used in the fields of printing inks, adhesives, paints and coating agents. This study has been executed to micro-patterning used UV-curable resin, The micro-patterning properties of this photoresist were investigated under irradiation of UV light low pressure mercury lamp. When the exposed photoresist film was developed by pure water developer, the resolution of this photoresist was about 50$\mu\textrm{m}$.

광개시제의 함량에 따른 UV 경화형 분체도료의 물리적 특성 (Physical Properties of UV-Curable Powder Coatings with Different Photoinitiator Contents)

  • 광개시제 함량이 0.5 wt%, 1 wt%, 2 wt%인 UV 경화형 분체도료를 배합하고 낮은 온도에서도 용융되는 수지를 선택하여 열민감성 기재에 적용이 가능함을 알아보았다. 열민감성 기재로는 PVC와 목재제품(MDF, 합판 등)을 선택하여 표면경도, 광택, 부착력을 통해서 기재와의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 광개시제 양이 증가할수록 가교밀도가 증가하여 도막이 brittle해지는 경향을 보였고, 그에 따라 부착력이 감소하였다. 열민감성 기재에 적용한 결과, 표면경도는 기재에 영향을 받지 않았지만 광택은 기재에 따라서 차이가 나타났다. 그리고 UV 경화형 분체도료의 부착력은 열민감성 기재에 적용하기에 충분하였다. 본 연구 결과, UV 경화형 분체도료에서 광개시제 함량이 중요한 인자이며 열민감성 기재에 적용이 가능함을 확인하였다.
