  • In this paper, we study the development trend of Ubiquitous Sensor Network Technologies which represent social, environmental and technical development at 21century. To understand and forecast various Ubiquitous Sensor Network Technologies, we introduce element technic; hardware platforms, sensor operating system sensor interface and sensor middleware.

  • In this paper, we assume that sensor nodes organize the multi-hop networks, are fixed, and operate as full function devices(FFD). The wireless sensor network(WSN) only consists of mobile nodes without the assistance from the fixed infrastructure, which increases the flexibility of the network. However, it is difficult to perform routing in the WSN, since sensor nodes freely join in and drop out of the network, and some sensor nodes have very low power. We propose the algorithm combining routing schemes based on the bitmap and cluster methods in this paper. Through computer simulations, we show the validity of the proposed algorithm.

Model-based Integrated Development Tool for the Development of Applications in Ubiquitous Sensor Network (유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크에서 응용 프로그램 개발을 위한 모델 기반 통합 개발 도구)

  • A model-based integrated development tool for the development of USN application programs is proposed in this paper. The proposed tool has been implemented as a plug-in for Eclipse platform. The tool consists of Graphical User Interface, Modeler, Configuration Information Generator, Validity Checker, Source Code Generator and Templates Storage. Developers can implement USN applications from models of sensor networks using the tool. The developer can implement USN applications by automatic generation of execution code of each node in the sensor network after he/she designs a model of the sensor network. The configuration information of each node is automatically generated from the validated USN model. Then, the execution code is automatically generated using the configuration information and the predefined templates. Through the tool of this paper, developers can easily implement valid USN applications even if they do not know the details of low-level information. Also, a large number of application programs can be generated at once because application programs are generated from sensor network model instead of models of applications. Accordingly, the development effort of USN applications will be decreased and developers can consistently construct USN applications from USN models using the proposed tool.

  • 지식경제부는 2009년부터 RFID(Radio-Frequency IDentification)와 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) 기술의 중요성을 파악하고 이를 집중적으로 육성하여 2017년까지 세계 RFID/USN 산업에서 3강에 진입하겠다는 로드맵을 발표하였다. RFID와 USN은 전 세계적으로 매년 큰 폭으로 성장하고 있는 산업이며, 정부에서도 의욕적으로 지원을 발표하였다. 또한 RFID/USN 산업에 종사하고 있는 기업의 80%가 중소기업이기 때문에 이 분야에 대한 정부의 지원은 중소기업의 활성화라는 측면에서도 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 RFID/USN 최신 기술에 대해 간략하게 정리하였으며, 농림수산업 분야에서 RFID/USN 기술을 적용한 연구 사례를 충실히 소개하고 있다. 또한 해외 사례를 토대로 RFID 및 USN 산업이 나아가야할 시사점을 제공함으로써, 정부가 유비쿼터스 분야의 커다란 로드맵을 구성하는데 있어 중요한 지표가 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • In EMC(electromagnetic compatibility) certification, the facilities and equipments have been considered as important qualification for registration of EMC certification business. In future, the certification environment is also supposed to be restricted Strictly. Many organizations have made on attempt to establish, certification environment as a international standard. Therefore, in order to enhance the competitive powers of domestic certification industry, a real-time system which can be measure automatically and remotely the temperature, humidity, illumination, CO/CO2, magnetic field, and human sensing is proposed in this paper. This system can also maintain the appropriate measurement environment by using USN (ubiquitous sensor network). The availabilities are confirmed through the experiment.

  • This paper presents Kalman filter based system modeling algorithm for autonomous robot systems. State of the robot system is measured using embedded sensor systems and then carried to a host computer via ubiquitous sensor network (USN). We settle a linear state-space motion equation for unknown robot system dynamics and modify a popular Kalman filter algorithm in deriving suitable parameter estimation mechanism. To represent time-delay nature due to network media in system modeling, we construct an augmented state-space model which is mainly composed of original state and estimated parameter vectors. We conduct real-time experiment to test our proposed estimation algorithm where speed state of the constructed robot is used as system observation.

  • In the previous study, the construction guide line of IT infra-structure for a u-City was introduced. However, it is only concentrated on the components and construction procedure for provider-oriented and technology-oriented sensor networks. In this paper the architecture and building process of demander-oriented sensor networks for sustainable u-City service are proposed. In the paper it is described (1) the enhancement methods of the procedure that can be flexibly constructed according to the scale of the project, (2) the methods that can improve the structure from the wireless sensor network such as RFID/USN to the hybrid sensor network, and (3) the consideration factors for providing the sustainable u-City service.

  • 다가올 유비쿼터스 시대를 선도할 기술 중 하나인 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)은 산업 전반에 커다란 변화를 가져올 것으로 기대된다. USN은 각종 센서 노드로부터 사물 및 환경 정보를 감지, 저장, 가공, 통합하고 상황인식 정보 및 지식 콘텐츠 생성을 통하여 언제, 어디서. 누구나 원하는 맞춤형 서비스를 자유로이 이용할 수 있는 첨단 지능형사회의 기반 인프라이다. USN과 더불어 이를 활용하기 위한 USN 어플리케이션의 개발들이 늘고 었으며 이에 USN 미들웨어의 필요성 또한 증가하고 있다. USN 디렉토리 서비스는 USN 미들웨어를 구성하는 핵심 서비스 중 하나이며, 지역적으로 분산된 USN 자원에 대한 정보를 관리하고 USN 자원에 대한 검색을 실시간으로 제공하는 서비스이다. USN 자원은 고정된 자원과 이동성을 지닌 자원으로 나눌 수 있다. 하지만 현재 이동성을 지닌 센서 노드(Mobile Sensor Node)를 지원할 수 있는 USN 디렉토리 서비스는 보이지 않고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 Mobile Sensor Node의 특성을 지원하는 USN 디렉토리 서비스의 모델들을 제시하고 그에 대한 설계 및 구현을 논한다.

  • Surveillance and reconnaissance sensor network system is an application system based on ubiquitous sensor network technology. This technique is to avoid accidental close combat, to minimize the consumption of limited military resources and personnel, and to provide battlefield situational awareness information for the unit's future combat missions. In this paper, we have proposed a echelons scale identification scheme based on information obtained from surveillance and reconnaissance sensor network system.

  • The development of information society together with information telecommunication's influence on the human society is a ripple effect and getting wider. Among those ripple effects the disaster prevention is in the public eye in the present day. On the way to the ubiquitous society the main techniques to be concerned in ubiquitous sensor networks are the field of damage of storm and flood, safety facilities, traffic safety, industrial safety, energy safety, fire fighting, specific safety of radioactivity escape incident, environmental pollution, sea pollution, mountain and forrest disaster so on. In this paper the USN technique based on the disaster prevention communication technology service and its requirement technology and application are studied.
