본 논문은 미국내의 다른 터미널 운용구조를 고찰하고, 크레인 사용을 위해서 가장 효과적인 터미널 관리장치유형(ACC, CUP, PTU)을 찾조자 시도하여 연구한 결과이다. 터미널 비교에 사용된 효율을 산정하기 위해서 시간당 순총 크레인 움직임을 사용했다. 가장 효과적인 장치를 찾기 위해서 총 31개 터미널을 비교하여 시도했다. 이 이론에서는 PTU 시설이 가장 효과적인운영장치임을 알게 되었으며, 보기로 든 터널이 너무 적어서 미국내 터미널에 이 결과를 직접적으로 적용하기에는 어려움이 있다.

선석배정문제는 항만운영 및 관리의 첫단계이며, 각 항만의 지리적, 자연적 특성에 따라 매우 독특하면서 복잡한 성향을 띠고 있다. 특히, 인천항은 그 지리적 특성상 갑문이라는 특수한 시스템과 많은 종류의 화물을 취급하기 때문에 만성적인 체선·체화 현상을 보이고 있으며 많은 물류비의 상승 등 경쟁력을 상실하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 인천항의 갑문이용과 선석의 배정문제에 있어서 실제 인천항을 운영하는 전문가 집단의 지식을 규칙화하고, 실제자료를 토대로 갑문의 영향을 분석하여 보다 효율적으로 운영할 수 있는 시스템과 예기치 못한 상황에 대한 대처를 원활히 할 수 있는 선석운영 의사결정지원시스템을 구축하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 고려하지 못한 갑문을 중심으로 교차제한사항과 선석운영의 효율을 높일 수 있는 이안을 예상한 입항선박을 고려하였으며, 더 나아가 사용자로 하여금 쉽고 빠르게 선석을 운용할 수 있도록 개선된 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(Graphic user Interface)를 갖는 대화식 접근법(User interactive approach)체제의 실시간 선석운영 의사결정지원시스템을 개발하였다.

Although the internet community(IC) has been recognized as an increasingly important for better understanding and relationships with customers, few evidence has been accumulated what factors influence IC success. This study posits the characteristics and individual characteristics as key determinants of IC success, and related hypotheses were tested using 230 data. Using user loyalty as a surrogate of IC success, this study found that the three key characteristics of IC-focus, interactivity, and cohesion levels-significantly influence the community user's loyalty. In addition, individual characteristics including personal value propositions(e.g, challenge/ambitious value, economic/rational value) and absorption tendency(e.g., flow level) affect their loyalty levels. This study also found that the determinents of IC user's loyalty defer with different types of community such as entertainment, relationships, and information/opinion sharing communities. These findings are hopefully helpful for the successful and contingent management of IC buildings and operations.

Web casting has become an important opportunity to apply the user-centered concept to broadcasting because it provides real-time interactive service through time and space. It is also necessary to have a new understanding about user who is not a passive viewer any more but an active user. The amount and quality of contents are also important, but usability is a competitive factor as well as the fundamental customer services that have user best experience at the site. Nevertheless most of web casting sites show the low level of usability. In this study we had a comparative evaluation among these sites, MBC, KBS and SBS, which are the representative broadcasting systems. The tests were carried out as heuristic evaluation and usability testing. We analyzed causes and problems of web usability for customer satisfaction and reliability exaltation, and expected the basic knowledge of developing and improving sites.

Due to rapid computerization of many consumer electric products, user interface of digital products comes an important issue for the user satisfaction. Although Menu Driven Interface are frequently employed for user interfaces on many digital products, there still exists many problems. This study attempts to apply to usability guideline digital camera through the review. And the study also an alternative devises design for digital product menu interface. The general type design guidelines include menu depth/breadth, information architecture, categorize and consistency among design components.

Living labs are an increasingly popular methodology to enhance innovation. Living labs aim to span boundaries between different organizations, among others Triple helix actors, by acting as a network organization typically in a real-life environment to foster co-creation by user-groups. This paper presents critical factors of Living labs in boundary-spanning between Triple Helix actors. Derived from a mixed-method approach and applications in the healthcare sector, the three main critical factors turn out to be 1) an adequate user-group selection and involvement, specifically a rich interaction and absorption of its results, 2) a balanced involvement of all relevant actors, and 3) a sufficient (early) attention for values, both values of user-groups and values of the management. People-oriented Living labs tend to differ from institution-oriented Living labs regarding these critical factors. Further, universities tend to take on diverse roles and strength of involvement, while the business sector tends to be actively involved only if this has been set as an explicit aim at start. The paper closes with a summary and future research paths.

The purpose of this paper is to study user's involvement in new product development (NPD). It seeks to identify the factors involving user and design practices in the design process of new product development. A survey was conducted on 20 respondents consisting of designers involved in product development from various industries. The study focused on the early activities of the product design process which is called product specification. The analysis performed considers the importance of involving users in design decision. The outcome of this research is the significance of involving users and its effect on product development activities. The research also provides a model for an integrated user, designer and product knowledge activity in the product development process.

Predicting the preferences of users and providing the personalized services/products based on users' preferences is one of the important issues. However, the research considering users' preferences on context-aware computing is a relatively insufficient research field. Hence, this paper aims to propose a framework for providing the personalized services based on context history in context-aware computing. Based on this framework, we have implemented a prototype system to show the feasibility of the framework. Previous researches have reasoned the preferences of the user considering only the user's input, but this research provides the personalized services using the relationship between users' profile and services.

The differentiation of this study is largely based on the above discussion. First, I would like to examine the main factors that affect the image of the local government's special transport agencies in terms of users and suggest strategic options for promoting the local government's special traffic. Second, a public service approach is very necessary considering the concept of new public transport such as local government special transport, individual use experience and social impact. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the characteristics of local government special traffic through the five important factors of the service quality which are not capable of objectively measuring the characteristics of the service.

The increasing popularity of mobile devices, such as cellular phones, smart phones, and PDAs, has fostered the need to recommend more effective information in ubiquitous environments. We propose the recommendation method for mobile contents service using contexts and prefetching in ubiquitous environment. The proposed method enables to find some relevant information to specific user's contexts and computing system contexts. The prefetching has been applied to recommend to user more effectively. Our proposed method makes more effective information recommendation. The proposed method is conceptually comprised of three main tasks. The first task is to build a prefetching zone based on user's current contexts. The second task is to extract candidate information for each user's contexts. The final task is prefetch the information considering mobile device's resource. We describe a new recommendation.
