  • Flammable compounds are indispensible in domestic as well as in industrial fields as fuel, solvent and raw materials. The fire and explosion properties necessary for safe storage, transport, process design and operation of handling flammable substances are lower explosive limits(LEL), upper explosive limits(UEL), flash point, fire point, AIT(auto ignition temperature), MIE(minimum ignition energy), MOC(minimum oxygen concentration) and heats of combustion.

  • 본 논문은 자기 바이어스(self bias)를 이용한 PCS 대역용 하이브리드 전력 저잡음 증폭기(power LNA) 모듈에 관한 것으로 GaAs p-HEMT 칩을 세라믹 기판에 실장하여 와이어 본딩과 주변 매칭을 통해 고주파 손실을 줄이고 온도 변화에 대한 안정성과 1.2㏈의 저잡음, 21~23㏈m의 P$_1$㏈를 실현하였다. 10mm$\times$10mm 크기로 표면 실장이 되도록 단자를 cut-line 형태로 모듈화 하여 안정성과 신뢰성을 향상시켰고 또한 저가격화를 실현하였다.

Prediction of Explosion Limits of Ethers by Using Heats of Combustion and Stoichiometric Coefficients (연소열과 화학양론계수를 이용한 에테르류의 폭발한계의 예측)

  • Explosion limit is one of the major combustion properties used to determine the fire and explosion hazards of the flammable substances. In this study, the lower explosion limit(LEL) and upper explosion limit(UEL) of ethers were predicted by using the heat of combustion and stoichiometric coefficients. The values calculated by the proposed equations agreed with literature data within a few percent. From the given results, using the proposed methodology, it is possible to predict the explosion limits of the other flammable ethers.

Economic Feasibility Assessment of a Deep Sea Water District Cooling System (건물냉방시스템에 해양심층수 적용의 경제성 분석)

  • Recently, alternative energy resources have emerged considerably due to the high oil prices and environment problems. Deep sea water that is one of the natural energy sources can be one of the attractive solutions to reduce the environment problems, and there are already a few examples in some developed countries. In this study, cooling system of deep sea water using heat exchangers of two hotels, located in near Haeundae Bay in Busan, have been analyzed on the quantity of electricity and gas use comparison between existing cooling system and deep seawater cooling system by using E-Quest simulation program. The results of the study showed that the Hotel A approximately saves 370 millions won per year, and the Hotel B saves 248 millions won per year. It means that the cooling system by using deep sea water has great worth to reduce the ratio of fuel sources.

  • The indoor environment has an effect on heath of human in indoor room that they live largely. We will know Bio-Aerosol that causes illness, such as a flu, an asthma and an atopy etc. and see a relationship between Bio-Aerosol and temperature as an experiment in Air-Conditioned room. In the future, this data can use a basic data for an effect of Bio-Aerosol on indoor environment.

A Shape Finding and Cutting Pattern Determination for Membrane Structures (막 구조물에 관한 형상 탐색과 재단도 결정법)

  • The object of this study is shape finding and cutting pattern generation of membrane structures under the following assumptions : (1) material is linearly elastic (2) stress state is plane stress. Cable and membrane structures should introduce the nonlinear analysis considering geometric nonlinearity because these structures deform largely under the external loads. The analysis procedure is consisted of three steps considering geometric nonlinearity unlike any other structures. First step is the shape finding analysis to determine the initial equilibrium shape. Second step is the stress-deformation analysis to investigate the behaviors of structures under various external loads. Once a satisfactory shape has been found, a cutting pattern based on the shape finding analysis may be generated from the view point of construction. In this paper, (1) shape finding analysis formulation and an example, (2) cutting pattern determination procedure using weighted least-square minimization flattening method and some results are presented.

  • Building components such as walls and windows causes the loss of many energy. The current of windows are using by the law standards that have been every reinforce the year from 2008. As the more reinforcement of legal standards, benefits of energy is possible to raising, But it is must to considered LCC and connectivity. In this study, the alteration for Law Standards is examining influence for initial cost. Accordingly, We are searches by using to windows products in domestic office building which choosing to window types in Law Standards, we are analyzed for initial cost of building out of the apartment.

  • The concept of bio-housing comes from the new social and culture housing trends. Previous research have shown standards on performance criteria for bio-housing. However some criteria on that research were overlapped because they were merged from various current housing assessment systems. This current research looks on the duplication of criteria which were impossible to evaluate current housing assessment, and make specialized factors for bio-housing developments. Finally the research shows the magnitude of factors for bio-housing performance criteria.

  • The energy used in Korea is strongly dependent on that produced by foreign countries. Accordingly, saving energy is more important than ever, because of the rise of international oil prices and depletion of oil resources. The development of energy efficient buildings is required especially for public buildings in Korea. In this study, the energy use of public buildings is identified. Then, the analysis of energy usage through regional offices in Busan City offers energy saving measures for public buildings.
