Objective : The objective of this study is to enlarge the range of treating which understanding taech'u acupoint(GVl4) can be applied to by inspecting and analyzing documentary records about taech'u acupoint(GVl4). Method : Various contents about taech'u acupoint(GVl4) can be inquired into through investing and analyzing 41 kinds of documentary records ranging from old books to contemporary materials. Results : 1. The spot of taech'u acupoint(GVl4) is under the process of the 7th cervical vertebral. 2. Taech'u acupoint(GVl4) can be found in two positions which can be posturized by a patient. One is a position in which a patient lies on his/her face. The other is a position in which a patient sits up straight with his/her head bent. 3. The depth of acupuncturing can be varied from 3 puns to 2 chons. 4. The amount of moxa can be varied from 3 jangs to 60 jangs. 5. To treat throush taech'u acupoint(GVl4) can lower fever, relieve a state of oversensitiveness, and let vitality flown. Conclusions : The range of treating through taech'u acupoint(GVl4) can be chronic wasting diseases, neuropsychotic diseases, feverish diseases, respiratory diseases, and diseases which can be around taech'u acupoint(GVl4).

We introduce the concepts of ($\mathcal{T}^{{\mu}{\gamma}}$, $\mathcal{U}^{{\mu}{\gamma}}$)-double (r, s) (u, v)-semiclosures and ($\mathcal{T}^{{\mu}{\gamma}}$, $\mathcal{U}^{{\mu}{\gamma}}$)-double (r, s)(u, v)-semiinteriors. Using the notions, we investigate some of characteristic properties of double pairwise (r, s)(u, v)-semicontinuous, double pairwise (r, s)(u, v)-semiopen and double pairwise (r, s)(u, v)-semiclosed mappings.

The flagella antigenic variation of nine Bacillus thuringiensis serovar kurstaki temperature-sensitive mutants grown at the permissive temperature (3$0^{\circ}C$) was detected by a serological agglutination between H-antigen and antiserum. The flagella antigens were injected to rabbits to prepared their antisera, and then their homologous and heterologous titers of the antisera were measured. The homologous titers were ranged from 1:6,400 to 1:12,800, but the heterologous titers were very low. The H-antigen of the wild type strain was not agglutinated to 4 heterologous antisera, ts-U23 not to 7, ts-U3l not 5, ts-U32 not to 4, ts-U33 not to 7, ts-U7l not to 4, ts-U73 not to 6, ts-U74 not to 6, ts-U91 not to 4 and ts-U603 not to 4 antisera.

According to the changes of the city's paradigm, the demand on u-City increases rapidly. u-City has been built at 54 areas in Korea (as of May 2009). One of the important determinants of success or failure in the increasing of u-City is how to provide u-Services. Most current u-Services are Sensor Network-based monitoring services to manage urban infrastructure. u-GIS is one of fundamental requirements to implement 'any time and any where' u-Service which covers the essential meaningful term "ubiquitous". Hence, in this paper, we 1) describe the definition of the spatial awareness, 2) discuss how to converge (Spatial Embedding) among different spatial data : topographic spatial data, sensor spatial data, and more, 3) bring forth an advanced form of u-Service, 4) analyze the state-of-the-art u-GIS techniques.

This paper investigates the spillover effects(co-movements) between korean and U.S stock market by KOSPI and DJIA Index. Especially it compare to the pre- and post period of U.S. financial crisis resulted from sub-prime mortgage loan. The main results are as follows. First, the spillover effects of DJIA(U.S. market) to KOSPI(Korean market) are strong. This result accord with the former researches on this subject. Second, spillover effects are more strong after U.S. financial crisis. A possible reason for this phenomenon is a trend which the major investors such as foreign and institutional investors in domestic stock market have more attention to U.S. stock market. Third, the spillover effects appear in the opposite direction, that is KOSPI(Korean Stock Market) to DJIA(U.S. Stock Market). It seems to be the results of asian stock market's growing infIuences to European and U.S Markets.

To investigate the flexural behavior of RC beams strengthened with glass fiber sheets, 1 control beam and 8 strengthened beams (4 NU-beams without U-shaped band and 4 U-beams with U-shaped band) are tested. The variables of experiment are composed of the number of glass fiber sheets and the existence of U-shaped band, etc. The maximum load was increased by 48% and 34%, and the flexural rigidity by 920% and 880% for NU-beam and U-beam, respectively, compared with those of the control beam. The ductility ratios were 1.43$\sim$2.60 for NU-beam and U-beam. The experimental results showed that the strengthening system with U-shaped band controls the premature debonding and provides a more ductile failure mode than the strengthening system without U-shaped band. It can be found from the load-deflection curves that as the number of fiber sheets is increased, the maximum strength and the flexural rigidity is increased. The experimental results are compared with the analytical results of nonlinear flexural behaviors for strengthened RC beam. The experimental and analytical results were well agreed.

The aim of this research is to analyze the priority to functions of the U-city Service Aid Organization(USAO), which is to support invigorating U-City industry. This research analyzes the relative importance and the priority about the functional area and components of UASO based on AHP. This research also performs a sensitivity analysis. The research result shows that relative importance of functional area is like following orders: 1) distribution of U-City service-related information, 2) quality certification of U-City-related products and services, 3) R&D of U-City technology, 4) standardization of U-City, 5) U-City human resource development. The relative importance order of functional components is 1) establishment of U-City information distribution organization, 2) construction and management of U-City information distribution network, 3) supporting U-City information distribution and price policy, 4) providing U-City information list for distribution, 5) preparation and application of quality certification standard of U-City products and services, 6) research on legal system of U-City items, targets, and procedures for quality certification, 7) research, analysis, and provision of U-City information distribution situation, 8) level examination of constructed infrastructures and services in U-City, 9) U-City core technology development and localization of technology, 10) standardization of collected U-City information, service classification, distribution system. This research result can be applied directly to design functions of USAO. The result also can be used for duty management, human resource planning, or resource allocation.

This paper, we investigate a strongly damped nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with nonlinearities of variable exponent type $$u_{tt}-{\Delta}u-{\Delta}u_t+m^2u+{\mid}u_t{\mid}^{p(x)-2}u_t={\mid}u{\mid}^{q(x)-2}u$$ associated with initial and Dirichlet boundary conditions in a bounded domain. We obtain a nonexistence of solutions if variable exponents p (.), q (.) and initial data satisfy some conditions.

The existence of solutions in Besov spaces for nonlinear heat equations having transcendental nonlinearity: $$\frac{\partial}{{\partial}t}u-{\Delta}u=F(u)$$ is investigated. In particular, it is proved the local existence and blow-up phenomena of the solutions in Besov spaces for nonlinear heat equations corresponding to two transcendental nonlinear functions $F(u){\equiv}{\mid}u{\mid}e^{u^2}$ and $F(u){\equiv}e^u$ of rapid growth.

U-City applies ubiquitous information technologies such as RFID, GPS, USN to various components of city functions and services. The concept of U-City was popularized especially in Korea and currently more than 40 projects have been carrying out all over country. U-City incorporates advanced information communication technologies into ubiquitous information services to provide better quality of life. The purpose of this study is to analyze preferences for the U-City services by surveying experts in U-City developing companies. This study employs Analytic Hierarchy Process which is very useful tool for performing multi-criteria decision making. Total of 28 responses were used in the analysis. The results indicated that the first 7 most preferred items were from transportation and safety area and environment and healthcare area and 4 out of 6 items in transportation and safety area were ranked among them. It implies that respondents consider countering anxiety caused by congested traffic, natural disasters, crimes, etc most important aspect that U-City should deal with. On the other hand, U-Port, U-Convention, U-Logistics, U-Public Administration and U-City Portal were listed as the least preferred services.
