Objective: To investigate the dentoskeletal factors which may predict soft-tissue chin strain during lip closure. Methods: The pretreatment frontal and lateral facial photographs and lateral cephalograms of 209 women (aged 18-30 years) with Angle's Class I or II malocclusion were examined. The subjects were categorized by three examiners into the no-strain and strain groups according to the soft-tissue chin tension or deformation during lip closure. Relationships of the cephalometric measurements with the group classification were analyzed by logistic regression analysis, and a classification and regression tree (CART) model was used to define the predictive variables for the group classification. Results: The lower the value of the overbite depth indicator (ODI) and the higher the values of upper incisor to Nasion-Pogonion (U1-NPog, mm), overjet, and upper incisor to upper lip (U1-upper lip, mm), the more likely was the subject to be classified into the strain group. The CART showed that U1-NPog was the most prominent predictor of soft-tissue chin strain (cut-off value of 14.2 mm), followed by overjet. Conclusions: To minimize strain of the soft-tissue chin, orthodontic treatment should be oriented toward increasing the ODI value while decreasing the U1-NPog, overjet, and U1 upper lip values.

Also some theorems by means of the regular value have been discussed for Zero Curves of G(u)=0 and some theorems for algorithm have been obtained.

It is generally known that the bonding strength of RC(Reinforced Concrete) flexural members strengthened by fiber sheet composites are sufficient and the bonding failure does not occur until the sheet failed. However, many researchers have been reported that, before the failure of the sheet, the bonding failure happens even though the bonding length is sufficient. This study was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of shear key and U strip on flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beam structures. The ply number of CFS(Carbon Fiber Sheet), location of shear key, and existence or not of U strip were selected as the main test variables. Test results show that the behavior of a beam of which shear key is located in the nearby. of support and U strip is not existent, and having CFS of 1 ply is mostly improved.

The measuring tests on the rest position capacity and the tongue volume were conducted on the one hundred normal dental college students and staffs of Seoul National University in order to study the relationships between the est position Capacity and tongue volume. The results were as follows : 1) The correlation between the rest position capacity and tongue volume was hardly recognized. 2) The correlation between tongue volume and the weight was recognized. 3) Physiologic reflex was coused by the water injected in the mouth in the rest position. 4) Each correlation of the height and cheek thickness to the tongue volume was not recognized.

The Cities that recently developed have been applied to private network for establishing information communication network system. The local governments planning or pursuing U-City construction should also choose the private network in consideration of operation and maintenance. In viewpoint of agency operating u-City, it is necessary to integrate traditional and new network. However, there has been lack of guides to choose U-City network considering the economic analysis between private and leased network. This study analyzed the characteristics of private and leased network, and the cost-benefit by estimating the network cost and communication demand focused on U-services that are recently applied. This study purpose a guide for efficient U-City information network selected by estimating ROI(Return On Investment) and BEP(Break Even Point) for establishing private and leased network.

Fibrous adsorbents containing amidoxime group which make chelate complexes with uranyl ions are studied for the recovery of uranium from sea water. Acrylic fibers are used as base Polymer. The adsorption properties of uranium are carried out to examine pH effect, concen-tration dependence, adsorption rate, separation, and chelate complex. The results obtained are as follows; 1. Metal capacity of U (VI) ion is in the range of pH $2\~10.2$. Amidoxime group-containing fiber recover U (VI) ions existed in sea water or waste water in extremely small quantities. 3. Using amidoxime group-containing fiber Cu (II) and U (VI) are separated with each other in dilute nitric acid solution (pH 2.3). 4. U (VI) chelate complexes are conformed by tridendate ligands, which are coordinated with one nitrogen and two oxygens onto amidoxime group-containing fiber.

U.S contains the best technology, man power, and big investment in space. It considers space as not only a science and technology related area, but also as an industry and national security related area. Korea's space policy focuses on the development of space systems such as satellites and launch vehicles. Space policy systems of the two countries are also different, causing some discrepancy in mutual interest when we talk about cooperation with the U.S. This study introduced U.S space policy framework and compared it with Korea's policy. It is meaningful in that we can find an effective way of cooperation between two countries.

We report on a systematic analysis of the spin and superorbital modulations of the high-mass X-ray binary 4U 0114+650, which consists of the slowest spinning neutron star known. Utilizing dynamic power spectra, we found that the spin period varied dramatically during the RXTE ASM and Swift BAT observations. This variation consists of a long-term spin-up trend, and two ~1,000 day and one ~600 day random walk epochs previously, MJD 51,000, ~MJD 51,400-52,000, and ~MJD 55,100-56,100. We further found that the events appear together with depressions of superorbital modulation amplitude. This provides evidence of the existence of an accretion disk, although the physical mechanism of superorbital modulation remains unclear. Furthermore, the decrease of the superorbital modulation amplitude may be associated with the decrease of mass accretion rate from the disk, and may distribute the accretion torque of the neutron star randomly in time.

He didn't segregate philosophy of the West from One of the Orient. He persued to harmonize each other and thought that the Western medicint theory is included in the Chinese one in many parts. besides, He recognized that it is bad to reject each other, for the medical science's purpose is to save a life, and united The Chinese-Western medicine theory, by $ch\acute{u}ng$ $ch\tilde{u}ng$ $ch\bar{u}ng$ $ts'\bar{a}n$ $hs\bar{l}$'(衷中參西) idea which refers to consult the Western medicine on the basis of the Chinese one. Medical basic theory of $Zh\bar{a}ng$ xi $ch\acute{u}n$ brought up new views of the theory : Dae-gi(大氣), gi-Hwa(氣化) theory, Nongangubgan byung juing chi(論肝及肝病證治), Eum her chijung ja bi(陰虛治重滋脾). Lim Sangeung yong(臨床應用) of Hyul Her gub(血虛及)-Hwal Hyul Hwa $\breve{u}$ bub(活血化瘀法), on the basis of classics, such as, "$N\breve{e}i$ Ching"(內經), "Chin Kue $\breve{i}$ $y\bar{a}o$ $l\ddot{u}{\bar{e}}h$, "Shen $n\acute{u}ng$ $p\breve{e}n$ $t\acute{s}{\check{a}}o$ ching"(新農本草經) etc. I'll sum up $Zh\bar{a}ng$ xi $ch\acute{u}n's$ clinical idea now He unified Sang Han(像寒)-On Byung(溫病) with Yuk Kyung Byung Jung(六經辨證) and It was noticiable to utilize a kinds of Baek Ho Tang(白虎湯). He gave a detailed description about a method of grasp the symptoms of the cause of the internal medicine diseases and pathology and, he left abundant views of theory about using remedy and experience of clinic.
