분석 기기의 발달과 더불어 자연 우라늄 동위원소 비(²³⁸U/²³⁵U)와 분별작용에 대한 연구가 점차 증가하고 있다. MC-ICP-MS을 이용한 우라늄 동위원소의 정밀한 분석이 가능해지면서 137.88의 고정된 값으로 여겨졌던 자연 물질의 ²³⁸U/²³⁵U 비가 우라늄 동위원소 분별작용에 의해 최대 수 퍼밀까지 변화할 수 있다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 본 고찰에서는 우라늄 동위원소의 분석과 표기에 대해 간략하게 설명한 후, 지구 상 주요 물질들의 우라늄 동위원소 값(δ²³⁸U)의 변화와 지구화학적 특징을 살펴본다. 특히, 우라늄 광상의 유형과 특징에 따른 우라늄 동위원소 조성 연구 사례를 소개하고, 상대적으로 큰 δ²³⁸U 범위를 야기하는 우라늄 동위원소 분별작용에 대해 논의한다. 이를 바탕으로 고준위 방사성 폐기물 처분장의 모의 실험을 위한 자연 유사 모델로서 우라늄 광상이 갖는 연구 의의에 대해 고찰한다.

The paper describes the major developments in agricultural engineering education at Silsoe College in the U.K. over the period 1960 to the present. It seeks to relate these developments to the profound changes which have taken plane in the agricultural , agricultural engineering, food and allied industries during the past three decades which are outlined. The emergence of deep public concerns about environmental and animal welfare issues combined with the reform of Europe's Common Agricultural Policy (C.A.P). now in train have had a major impact on the evolution of educational provision within the College and on the profit of its research. It is concluded that prospects for the discipline and profession remain healthy provided the new agenda is addressed.

In the current analysis, we examine news coverage data widely used in media studies. News coverage data is usually time series data to capture the volume or the tone of the news media's coverage of a topic. We first describe the distributional properties of autoregressive conditionally heteroscadestic(ARCH) effects and compare two major American newspaper's coverage of U.S.-North Korea relations. Subsequently, we propose a change point detection model and apply it to the detection of major change points in the tone of American newspaper coverage of U.S.-North Korea relations.

본 논문에서는 u-Health 서비스의 효과에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 우선 U-Health에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 여러 요인들을 문헌 연구를 통해서 정리 하였고, 이를 검증하기 위하여 의료 현장에서 u-Health와 관련하여 종사하고 있는 전문가들에게 설문하여 기초 데이터를 수집하였다. 이 결과를 분석하기 위하여 FA분석과 AHP분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 생성된 요인은 모두 6가지이다. 요인분석으로 성과측정지표를 개발한 후에는 이들 요인들 사이의 중요도를 계층분석기법(AHP)으로 분석하였다. AHP 분석의 결과로 주요성공요인들 사이의 중요도를 측정할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로 유-헬스시스템의 효과는 측정기술과 서비스 수용자들의 참여 그리고 서비스 제공 기관에 대한 정책적 배려가 가장 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 이 외에도 법제도의 구비와 개인의료정보에 대한 완벽한 보안장치가 그 뒤를 이었다. 본 연구는 u-Health 서비스의 정책적 실시와 그 효과를 극대화하는데 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

IT기술과 의료정보기술을 융합한 U-Healthcare서비스의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 차세대 의료 서비스의 새로운 패러다임인 U-Healthcare 서비스는 많은 이용자에게 편의성을 보장하기 때문에 사회에서 그 중요성이 인식되고 있으며, 다양한 사업화 모델을 통한 상용화 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 다양한 U-Healthcare 서비스 시장이 안전하게 형성되기 위해서는 정부주도의 의료정보에 대한 체계화를 위한 표준과 의료법을 통한 다양한 사회 구조적 정책의 수립이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 첫째, U-Healthcare 서비스와 정책가이드에 대한 연구를 살펴본다. 둘째, 안전한 U-Healthcare 서비스의 보안위협 요소를 분석한다. 분석된 보안 위협요소를 보안의 중요 3대 요소인 기밀성, 무결성, 가용성을 기준으로 분류하여 각 요소별 보안정책을 제안한다.

The Arctic consists of numerous sedimentary basins containing voluminous natural resources and two of the world's major oil and gas producing areas. The western Siberia Basin in the Arctic region has the largest petroliferous province with an area of 800 ${\times}$ 1,200 km and produces more than 60% of total Russian oil production. The North Slope of Alaska produces about 20% of the U.S. output, i.e., 11% of the total U.S. consumption. Being small compared to those regions, the Canadian Northwest Territories and the Pechora Basin in Russia produce only fair amount of oil and natural gas. There are also many promising areas in the northern continental shelf of Russia. In addition to Russia, Svalbard and Greenland have been investigated for oil and gas. Gas hydrates are widespread in both permafrost regions and arctic continental shelf areas. The reserves of gas hydrates in the Arctic Ocean are about 20${\sim}$32% of total estimated amounts of gas hydrates in the world ocean. Mineral mining is well developed, especially in Russia. The major centers are located around the Kuznetsk Basin and Noril'sk. They are major suppliers of gold, tin, nickel, copper, platinum, cobalt, iron ore, coal as well as apatite. There are also some minings of lead-zinc in Alaska and Arctic Canada.

This paper presents u-COEX, Ubiquitous-Collaborative Online shopping EXecution system, for small- and mediam- sized business enterprises, based on EPCglobal network. The system is taking advantage of RFID technology promises to optimize the critical processes in the Supply Chain Management. The system consists of five major functions: integrated order management, realtime monitoring and analysis system of sales and inventory, decision support system, integrating with EPCglobal and RFID technology, and u-catalog feature. The prototype implementation was developed for mass electronic market complex and the result revealed the feasibility to be applicable to real market.

The purpose of this study was to develop the community programs of multihousing in Korea through evaluating and analyzing the actual conditions of community in multihousing in U.S.A. This study was conducted by using a field survey and questionaire at the 2 multihousing complexes located in the City of Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A. The major findings were as follows: 1) There was a variety of community programs and facilities, such as a monthly newsletter which allowed information to be exchanged among all residents. The programs also provided news on events for the children, teenagers, college students, adults and seniors. These events were held at the club house or pond area. 2) The average degree of satisfaction of these programs and facilities was high. 3) Korea need to follow the example of the U.S.A by i) providing a monthly newsletter periodically to exchange information ii) offering a variety of community programs iii) providing programs regarding district bureau of public administration, kindergarten service, telecommunications office and holding service for package, registered mail, drycleaning, etc.

The purpose of this study was to develop long and short-run educational programs for u-turn farmers based on their need assesment. This study was conducted by review of literature and surveys. Subjects of this surveys were 310 participants of agricultural training programs developed by the Rural Development Administration for u-turn farmers in 1997 and 1998. According to major findings, many participants were faced with problems such as financial shortage, deficiency of farming skills, difficulty of marketing, new neighbours unfavourable gazing and farm labour shortage. These problems could be classified into the problems at their preparing stage and the problems of adjusting stage in their farms. And also the participants suggested that educational programs for them contain knowledge based teaching and technical practices with focus on their problems solving. With their suggestion various knowledge and technical modules were selected. Using these module several kinds of long and short-run educational programs could be developed.
