  • U-City applies ubiquitous information technologies such as RFID, GPS, USN to various components of city functions and services. The concept of U-City was popularized especially in Korea and currently more than 40 projects have been carrying out all over country. U-City incorporates advanced information communication technologies into ubiquitous information services to provide better quality of life. The purpose of this study is to analyze preferences for the U-City services by surveying experts in U-City developing companies. This study employs Analytic Hierarchy Process which is very useful tool for performing multi-criteria decision making. Total of 28 responses were used in the analysis. The results indicated that the first 7 most preferred items were from transportation and safety area and environment and healthcare area and 4 out of 6 items in transportation and safety area were ranked among them. It implies that respondents consider countering anxiety caused by congested traffic, natural disasters, crimes, etc most important aspect that U-City should deal with. On the other hand, U-Port, U-Convention, U-Logistics, U-Public Administration and U-City Portal were listed as the least preferred services.

  • u-TSN is a promising technology facilitating road safety and traffic management for drivers and passengers. To deploy this technology in a real environment, personal information and communicated data should be protected against malicious adversaries. Even though such adversaries would appear relatively infrequently, in such cases, the benefits of u-TSN could be disrupted and disabled. Therefore, one of the ultimate goals in the design of secure u-TSN is to protect against attacks of malicious adversaries. In this paper, we present secure communication scenario for u-TSN and implement security protocols and algorithms that are the components of the scenario on an IXP425 board. The security systems, implemented as a security module, supports secure and efficient communication for the u-TSN.

  • On the many highways, severe traffic congestions happen chronically and make traffic problems like reduction of mobility because of rapid increase of vehicles though road construction has been last. In order to solve these traffic problems, it is needed to find the trend and the symptom of traffic congestion and to analyze the cause of congestion and the(spatial) range affected by congestion. To develop the traffic condition monitoring index prior to doing all those things is most important. With this reason, many countries including U.S. had been developed the congestion criteria and indices. In this paper, applicability and characteristics of existing traffic congestion indices were considered and the direction for development of a new traffic condition index was suggested to achieve an effective traffic management.

  • An Airport is important space and even stands for the country because diverse people from other countries use a variety of facilities in the gateway to the country. Therefore, It is urgent for those people to increase efficiency and convenience of its usage. But we have a problem with process of passenger and this paper with the object of finding the solution in case study. This paper focus on information system, especially Intelligent Airport Information System to streamline process of passenger. There are a few of countries adopted this system in process. Therefore, IIAC(Incheon International Airport Corporation) establishing u-Information HUB System. It is unique and differential characteristics to Facilitation and increase passenger's satisfaction. u-Information HUB system unified stakeholder's process of Facilitation in Air Traffic Sides. u-Information HUB system gets the highest state of efficiency to Facilitation. This Paper is attempt to find new effort

  • The objective of this paper is to design the dynamic route guidance system(DRGS) and develop a genetic algorithm(GA) for finding the multiple shortest paths in real traffic network. The proposed GA finds a collection of paths between source and destination considering turn-restrictions, U-turn, and P-turn that are genetically evolved until an acceptable solution is reached. This paper also shows the procedure to find the multiple shortest paths in traffic network of Seoul.
