Simulation for a dynamic analysis of the electrolytic preparation of U(IV) in two-phases system, which consisted of mass transfer of U(VI) from TBP phase into HNO$_3$ solution and electrolytic re-duction of U(VI) to U(IV) at a cathode in aqueous phase, was carried out in order to establish the most suitable operating condition and best electrode area as basic design data for the system. It was found that maintaining an appropriate mass transfer rate was more significant rather than enlarging the surface area of the cathode for more effective production yield of U(IV). The electrode area and the operation time affected deeply the production composition of U(IV) in the resulting aqueous phase. And optimal electrode areas ore evaluated to meet production criteria of U(IV) of resulting solution in several system conditions. Though about 0.37M HNO$_3$ was preferable to prepare the solution of U(IV), nitric acid concentration should be higher than 0.5M to prevent a hydrolysis of U(IV) in the aqueous phase.

A system that provides a ubiquitous service is a networked system that has to overcome their circumstances that the service survivability is weak. the survivability of a networked system is defined as an ability of the system that can offer their services without interruption, regardless of whether components comprising the system are under failures, crashes, or physical attacks. This paper presents an approach that end users can obtain a quantitative evaluation of U-service survivability to reflect intended cyber attacks causing the networked system to fall into byzantine failures in addition to the definition of the survivability. In this paper, a Jini system based on wireless local area networks is used as an example for quantitative evaluation of U-service survivability. This paper also presents an continuous time markov chain (CTMC) Model for evaluation of survivability of U-service that a Jini system provides, and an approach to evaluate the survivability of the U-service as a blocking probability that end users can not access U-services.

U-healthcare system has an aim to provide reliable and fast medical services for patient regardless of time and space by transmitting to doctors a large quantity of vital signs collected from sensor networks. Existing u-healthcare systems can merely monitoring patients' health status. In this paper, we describe the implementation and validation of a prototype of a u-health monitoring system based on a wireless sensor network. This system is easy to derive physiologically meaningful results by analyzing rapidly vital signs. The monitoring system sends only the abnormal data of examinee to the service provider. This technique can reduces the wireless data packet overload between a monitoring part and service provider. The real-time bio-signal monitoring system makes possible to implement u-health services and improving efficiency of medical services.

This paper studies the effect of content information quality of u-tourism information system on flow theory and satisfaction. The purpose of the research is to generate and propose flow-related information to satisfy tourists with content information quality. The meaning of this paper is to derive success factors for verifying satisfaction of content information quality to tourists, establish hypotheses as research models, and evaluate verification. The differentiation of this study is the design implementation of u-fusion tourism information system by combining flow relation information with flow theory. The contribution of this paper is the generation of flow related information and the elicitation of success factors of contents quality of u-tourism information system. The advantage is that tourists can be patterned by symbolization and the pattern can be illustrated. The limitations of this paper are limited to small areas, and the lack of objectivity is required and future tasks are needed to compensate for them.

Healthcare is a research field suitable for applying the recent ubiquitous techniques. As a test system, we developed a kind of CDSS (Clinical Decision Support System) running in ubiquitous environment. called as 'uCDSS'. The uCDSS is a core system of the ubiquitous healthcare and is composed of some 'uMLMs(Ubiquitous Medical Logic Modules)'. The uMLMs based on the class in C# programming language could be reused in development of CDSS, or another EHR system running in .NET environment. As a test system, we developed the DM(Diabetes Mellitus knowledge system using ASP.NET. This system shows the potential of C# class-based uMLMs and the extensibility to any .NET development project.

Last February, $\ulcorner$The Act on Ubiquitous City Construction and etc.$\lrcorner$ was approved by the National Assembly. The law stipulates the regulations on the planning, construction and management of the Ubiquitous City. As its national-level law system is about to take its effects, future new city developments are expected to have its legal basis to be built to meet ubiquitous city requirements. Also, it is anticipated that such needs would require much more planning techniques and strategies. In reaction to those upcoming needs, this study is to search for new planning approaches to realize the u-City in reality. It is also to supply with the framework to execute the u-City projects in more structuralize and systemize manner. Therefore, with the purpose of the establishment of comprehensive planning system, the theoretical bases were sought in relation to planning u-City, pre-existing u-City development cases and regarding regulations were analyzed, and then basic concepts, features, and constituent factors were set up.

We expect u-Education based on ubiquitous information and technology will be the next generation education system. We performed a comparative study of well designed school homepage at H elementary school and the other case of homepage at C elementary school in Seoul. We conclude the former shows better performance and educational achievement under U-Learning environment and we propose a next generation U-Learning system architecture.

This paper presents a novel method to design and implement mobile u-health system by defining the essential elements of mobile healthcare services. We choose common service elements for the proposed u-healthcare scheme and design the service platform. Especially we focus on automatic feces or urine sensing u-care scheme to prove the effectiveness of our platform. We construct the system with sensing part with a manikin and a diaper wireless communication part with feces or urine sensing data, and coordinator system based on the u-health platform defined in this paper. Experimental results show that our scheme is useful in the area of u-care service for the handicapped, the elderly, and patients who can hardly move by themselves. In addition the designed scheme offers a realized u-care scheme with the purpose of advanced developing tools for application or service developers.

This study demonstrates a basic concept and designing direction for the realisation of disaster prevention planning in u-City(u-BangjaeCity) that is from establishing a planning system in terms of the areas of professional disaster and safety management for the national disaster management. and designing disaster or safety management system via using ubiquitous technology for the scientific disaster management. In order to realise u-City it is necessary to maps out interrelation amongst various services such as traffic, environment and disaster prevention. Domestic and international case studies regarding the tendency of disaster prevention planing in u-City and its analysis could be the fundamental resource in order to develop the standard model of u-BangjaeCity.
