Analysis of needs and providing coping strategies for efficient promotion of the u-City IT Infra Construction (u-City IT 인프라구축의 효율적인 추진을 위한 요구사항 분석 및 대응방안 연구)

  • This study investigated the needs of u-City related civil servants upon guideline which is constituted for efficient promotion of the u-City IT infra construction. It utilized explanatory design in mixed method as a research design. In the research result, respondents needed as follows : 1)law and institutions involved in construction processes, 2)information about engineering techniques with general terms in u-City constructions, 3)reference service models. It proposed implications of constructing the new guideline based upon research results.

  • 최근 우리 사회는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술의 발전과 지자체별 u-City 건설 붐에 힘입어 도시민의 삶의 질 개선과, 도시관리 기능의 효율화를 위한 차세대 서비스 사업이 활발히 전개되고 있다. 반면 유비쿼터스 사회에서의 기술 수명주기의 단축과 시장의 급변은 사업 전개에 있어 커다란 부담으로 작용하고 있어 사업 계획 단계에서부터 사업의 타당성에 대한 충분한 고려가 필요하다. 본 논문은 과거의 전통적인 Business로부터 u-Business로의 진화과정을 살펴보고 기술의 발전과 가치의 변화에 따른 u-Business의 성공요인과 u-City 사업의 특징 분석을 바탕으로 u-City 사업 계획 단계에서 적용 가능한 u-City Business Model의 사업타당성 평가지표를 도출하고자 한다.

Intelligent Speech Recognition System based on Situation Awareness for u-Green City (u-Green City 구현을 위한 상황인지기반 지능형 음성인식 시스템)

  • Green IT based u-City means that u-City having Green IT concept. If we adopt the situation awareness or not, the processing of Green IT may be reduced. For example, if we recognize a lot of speech sound on CCTV in u-City environment, it takes a lot of processing time and cost. However, if we want recognize emergency sound on CCTV, it takes a few reduced processing cost. So, for detecting emergency state dynamically through CCTV, we propose our advanced speech recognition system. For the purpose of that, we adopt HMM (Hidden Markov Model) for feature extraction. Also, we adopt Wiener filter technique for noise elimination in many information coming from on CCTV in u-City environment.

  • With the recent acceleration in the adoption of IT in industries, converged Construction-IT has been drawing attention as a new market driver in the IT fusion industry. Despite the simultaneous implementation of U-Cities all over Korea in a manner suiting each city's own attributes, Technical Criteria to build an optimized IT-infrastructure have not yet been prepared. To solve this problem, a standard for U-City construction should be prepared. This research, therefore, draw sample contents in order to establish and verify the criteria for U-City construction. The findings are expected to be meaningful, in that they would serve as significant data for establishing the criteria for future U-City construction.

  • 최근 IT 패러다임은 인터넷 중심에서 인간과 사물, 컴퓨터가 융합되는 기술로 급속히 전환되고 있다. 이를 위해 인간과 사물, 사물과 사물 사이 네트워크화를 위해서 RFID/USN 분야가 핵심 IT 산업군으로 형성되고 있다. USN을 활용한 다양한 서비스 가운데 u-Healthcare는 큰 사회적 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 u-Healthcare system의 원활한 활용을 위해서는 u-Healthcare system을 지원하는 미들웨어(Middleware)에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 미들웨어의 기능 중 센서(Sensor)를 통해 획득한 데이터의 정확성을 높이는 방법에 초점을 두었다. 이를 위하여 멀티 스레드(Multi Thread)방법을 u-Healthcare 미들웨어에 적용하여 다양한 어플리케이션에서 요구하는 개별 데이터의 정확성을 향상 시키는 방안을 연구하였다.

  • Convergence being process varietly and quickly, with complex products and services based on digital technology and with start its creating new form of products and service, influenced to diversity of consumers need, and social trend. Thus, in this paper, convergence it presents the application instance according to variation of the convergence commit, and observed the advantage which is the possibility of appearing from here, it has the necessity of the effect and the policy preparatio, appearing on it try the electronic government of domestic convergence with role of the u-Gov due to an evolution with convergence, for it attains the administrative idea which u-Gov pursues. And by convergence analysis of issue, hereafter it presented a policy propulsion direction of convergence.

  • Recently IT industry has its eyes on IT Converged Technology as its future growth engine. Now, local governments are busy with planning U-City Constructions to improve their competitiveness. While this shows the ripple effect of U-City Constructions, the related standards or laws don't still seem to be established. The existing Construction Criteria which comprehends only construction could not apply to U-City development. Therefore Construction-Information Converged Technology Criteria should be needed. And fundamental research of Criteria should be preceded. The objective of this research is to develop Structure of Construction-Information Converged Technology Criteria on U-City. The new comprehensive Criteria for Construction-Information Converged Technology would be fundamentally basic standard for U-city development. Thereafter local governments, the main body of the projects, could use Construction-Information Converged Technology Criteria so that there must be lest trial and error to Construction U-City Project.

  • The cloud computing environment is a new trend of web based application parts. It can be IT business model that is able to easily support learning service and allocate resources through the internet to users. U-learning also is a maximal model with efficiency of the internet based learning. Thus, in this research, we proposed a design of u-learning's teaching and learning model that is applying the internet based learning. Proposal method is to fit u-learning and has 7 steps: Preparing, planning, gathering, learning process, analysis and evaluation, and feedback. We make a cloud u-learning server and cloud LMS to process and manage the service. And We also make a mobile devices meta data to aware the model.

U-City Service Classification Standard & Cost Sharing Plan through the Case Studies of U-City Construction

  • Recently, the construction of U-City or of U-City service (U-service) in many kinds of urban development projects becomes the general trend. However, as the construction of U-city comes into the spotlight like the trend of the times, various service constructions are being indiscreetly implemented since it's processed focusing on local specialized projects or local landmark project by a local autonomous entity or an institute in charge being off the original purpose of the improvement of living quality of residents and the efficiency of urban management, which causes a number of problems on the process, maintenance, operation and management of those projects. Therefore, this study is to derive the standard pattern of U-service construction through the analysis of patterns and numbers of U-service and problems during the process of construction in domestic U-City construction case district, and is aimed to suggest the reasonable direction of service construction based on this. 11 projects areas in which data related to U-service are available among U-City construction project areas were selected for the subjects of this study, and it's standardized with 228 detailed unit services that were suggested by U-Eco City R&D and with 11 service domains that are regulated in "the Act of ubiquitous city construction etc.", and it is limited to services that were suggested in U-City case area of which design was completed by July, 2010 based on this. The actual state of various U-service construction is analyzed through case studies as well as reviews on the legal and theoretical concept and the method of pattern classification of U-service, the plan for the standardization (pattern classification) of U-service and the plan for the construction body of service and to share the costs are suggested as the plan to construct reasonable U-service based on this for the method and the procedure of this study For the method to construct U-service, the plan to classify the pattern of U-service into the basic service and additional service is suggested, and whether it has the publicity, whether urban infrastructure is included, whether utilities are included, the body of realization, the recipients, the urgency, the importance and the spreading, etc. are suggested for the index to determine the pattern of service. The method to get the executor of a project to construct the basic service, the method to get the executor of a project to construct the most basic service among the group classification of service and to get a private entity and a local autonomous entity to perform additional service in the future, and the method to construct the whole service and to distribute the construction costs were suggested, and the first one that determines the body of construction after dividing U-service into the basic service and the additional service was evaluated to be the most reasonable one. And the plan to solve the problem that the excessive construction costs of U-service are shifted onto the executor of a project through benefit principle, balanced distribution principle and consultation and mediation between the interested parties was suggested for the criteria to share the costs.

  • The Korea built successfully e-Korea based on the best of internet infrastructure which was constructed in the world. Continually, Korea is constructing u-City for twenty-first century to enhance the quality of life and to grow up IT industrial. But there is no standard model for u-City because three main builders, central government, local autonomous entities, and communication carriers have respectively their objects, targets and domains. If u-City would be constructed by the common infrastructure for ubiquitous communication, it will be possible to provide any ubiquitous services and compatibility. And the communication infrastructure has to be reflected on the first stage of city planning to reduce high cost for u-City construction. This paper mentions firstly the ranges of communication infrastructure and shows how to construct it each range.
