학교 영양(교)사의 직무스트레스가 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 - 인간관계 유형의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (Effects of Job Stress on Job Satisfaction in School Dieticians and Nutrition Teacher - Focus on the Moderating Effect of Interpersonal Relationship Type -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress on job satisfaction according to interpersonal relationship type among school dieticians and nutrition teachers. The online survey was conducted from Oct. 26th to Nov. 7th, 2017 in 2,000 randomly selected dieticians and nutrition teachers in the capital area. A total of 453 collected questionnaires were used for analysis. SPSS v.21.0 Statistical Package Program was used for the statistical process. For the results regarding interpersonal relationship type of dieticians, open-type (73.3%) was the highest, followed by self-assertive-type (23.0%), isolated-type (2.6%), and careful-type (1.1%). Regarding overall job satisfaction, 'human relation' was the highest, followed by 'job itself', 'working environment', and 'personal rating & welfare system', in that order. According to interpersonal relationship type, in the case of 'open-type' or 'careful-type', job satisfaction was relatively high. Regarding overall job stress, 'job demand' was the highest, followed by 'lack of reward', 'organizational system', 'interpersonal conflict', 'occupational climate', 'job insecurity', and 'insufficient job control', in that order. In accordance with interpersonal relationship type, overall job stress index was high in terms of 'self-assertive-type' or 'careful-type'. For the results of analyzing the correlation between job satisfaction and job stress index, all areas showed statistically significant negative correlations. Multiple regression analysis was performed to study the effects of job stress on job satisfaction mediating interpersonal relationship type. Job stress had different effects on job satisfaction in terms of 'open-type' and 'self-assertive type'. In conclusion, different strategies are needed for dieticians with different interpersonal relationship types to improve job satisfaction and to reduce job stress.

University Student Characteristics of Type of Job Values and Key Competency

  • This study is aimed to determine types of job values which is searched by 242 university student in Gwangju, to study characteristics of each type, and to analyze key competency of each type. The data were analyed with PASW 18.0 using frequency analysis, k-mean cluster analysis, crosstabs and one-way ANOVA. According to findings, first of all, university student types of job values are divided into 4 groups; a type of intrinsic job values(27.7%), a type of active job value(32.2%), a type of external job value(12.4%), a type of passive job value(27.7%). Secondly, the type of job values showed statistically significant difference only in the monthly allowance of socio-economic variables. Thirdly, the type of job values showed statistically significant difference 'communication', 'mathematics', 'problem solving', 'self development', 'resource management', 'interpersonal skills', 'technical ability', 'understanding organizations' and 'work ethics'.

소방공무원의 직무 스트레스, 대처방식, 직무만족 (Job Stress, Coping Type, and Job Satisfaction in Firefighters)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate job stress, coping type, and job satisfaction in firefighters. Methods: It was a descriptive study, and 114 subjects were recruited during July to August, 2014. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA (Sheffe's test), and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS/WIN 22.0. Results: The job stress level of subjects was 47.45, coping type was 2.38 and the level of subjects' job satisfaction was 2.97. The job satisfaction was very closely negatively correlated with the job stress (r=-.66, p<.001). Conclusion: These results may contribute to better understanding of stress degree, coping type, and job satisfaction in firefighters. Further follow-up study on firefighters is necessary to relieve their job stress and increase active coping type.

Analysis of Relationship Between Job Stress and Fatigue According to The Type A/B Behavior Pattern of Physical Therapists

  • Stress and fatigue are general physical aspects of our daily lives. It has been shown that physical therapists have different levels of job stress and fatigue according to the type A/B behavior patterns. This study collected data from 212 physical therapists between October 28 and November 23, 2016 using an anonymous, self-administered questionnaire. The study results showed the proportion of physical therapists with the Type A behavior patterns(TABP) was 18% greater than that of physical therapists with the Type B behavior patterns(TBBP). In this study, physical therapists with TABP were compared with physical therapists with TBBP. The results indicated that physical therapists with TABP were more inclined to experience higher levels of overall job stress and fatigue from the following stress factors: physical environment, job requirement, and job autonomy. Therefore, the stronger the tendency toward TABP, the stronger the feeling of job stress and fatigue from physical environment, job requirement, and job autonomy. Those with a tendency toward TBBP showed positive correlations between job requirement and the total job stress score; thus, the stronger the tendency toward TBBP, the stronger the feeling of overall job stress and fatigue from job requirement. This study suggests that it is necessary to manage the job stress and fatigue of physical therapists with both TABP and TBBP and to manage the job stress and fatigue of physical therapists with the type A behavioral pattern.

패션모델의 직무스타일이 직무만족도 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Work Attitude of Fashion Models on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention)

  • This study analyzed the effects of job style on job satisfaction and turnover intention of fashion models, and the difference in the job style, job satisfaction and turnover intention by model activities period. Data was collected by surveying fashion models with more than 10 modeling experiences, and 230 responses were used in the data analysis. The results of were as follows: First, the job style of fashion models were classified into professional ability type, social relationship-focused type, future-oriented type and body-boasting type. Job satisfaction was classified into satisfaction with working conditions, satisfaction with model activities, and satisfaction with relationships. Turnover intention was classified into intention to change jobs, and intention to quit modeling. Second, being a professional ability type had a negative effect on satisfaction with working conditions, whereas being a future-oriented type had a positive effect on it. The professional ability type and social relationship-focused type had a positive effect on satisfaction with model activities, and the social relationship-focused type had a positive effect on satisfaction with relationships. Third, the future-oriented type and body-boasting type had a negative effect on the intention to change jobs. The social relationship-focused type, future-oriented type and body-boasting type had a negative effect on the intention to quit modeling. Fourth, there were significant differences in the professional ability type, human relationship-focused type, body-boasting type, intention to change jobs and intention to quit modeling by model activities period. Therefore, it is necessary for domestic fashion models to have the appropriate attitude to develop features and competency required for modeling projects and if improvements are made to enhance job satisfaction of fashion models, the fashion modeling industry is expected to make further developments.

콜센터 종사자의 직무스트레스와 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Job Stress and Job Satisfaction of Call Center Employees)

  • Purpose - Although various studies have been conducted on the stress of service employees, there are still lack of studies regarding job stress and job satisfaction of call center workers. Especially there are quite few studies on the job stress according to employment type. This study focused on job stress and job satisfaction for call center employees and the correlation between the two factors and aimed to provide basic materials for seeking for the plans to reduce job stress and improve job satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - Frequency, percentage, and mean value were calculated through descriptive statistics in order to find out demographic characteristics, level of job stress, and job satisfaction. Differences in job stress according to employment type were calculated by using one-way ANOVA. Correlation between job stress and job satisfaction were identified through empirical analysis with Pearson's correlation coefficient. 150 materials were used for final analysis. The collected materials were analyzed to get statistics by using SPSS 20. Results - First, as for the job stress of call center workers, overall mean value was 2.54 in 4-point scales. Among the six sub-factors, job demands had the highest score, which was 2.67. Second, as for the job stress according to employment type, others showed higher score than mean value followed by contract job and full-time job in that order, in terms of job insecurity and organizational system. In terms of inappropriate remuneration, contract job showed higher score than mean value followed by others and full-time job. Third, as for the satisfaction with job, the mean value was 2.37 in 4-point scale and "very much satisfied" was only 3.3%. Lastly, in terms of job stress and job satisfaction, all sub-factors except for job demands showed significant correlation. The more job stress increased, the more job satisfaction decreased. Conclusions - First, as a result of analyzing job stress according to the employment type of call center workers, job stress increased more when the employment type was not full-time. Therefore, it was assumed that self-rescue efforts should be followed for effective employment management of call center business where contract employment takes most part as well as efforts to transfer them to full-time job. Second, decrease in job satisfaction of call center workers may affect the performance of an organization as well as service quality of the company providing the service. Therefore, various supports are required to decrease job stress and increase job satisfaction for call center workers through the expansion of rest area or break time. Third, I could recognize that there were lack of academic research on call center business in the whole service industry. Therefore, further research should be conducted more actively in the future. In particular, this study has special significance in the aspect that there were few studies on the job stress of call center workers according to employment type.

직장상황 임산부의 의복스타일과 직업유형이 호의도와 업무수행능력 평가에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Maternity Apparel Style and Job Type on the likability and the occupational Competence of Pregnant Working Women)

  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of maternity apparel style and job type on the likability and the occupational competence of pregnant working women. This study was 3'S factorial design. Independent variables of this study were maternity apparel style(feminine style, neutral style, and masculine style) and job type(assitant manager of bank and salesperson). Dependent variables were the likability and the occupational competence of the stimuli. One hundred eighty college females participated in the study, in which half of the subject viewed the stimuli as a salesperson and the other half as an assistant manager of bank. The results showed that maternity apparel style influenced the perception of likability(F(2,174)=6.97, p<.001) and occupational competence(F(2,174): 16.25, p<.001) significantly. Also lob type influenced the occupational competence(F(1,174) : 3.94, p<.05) signifcantly. There was a significant interaction(F(2,174) : 2.53 p(.10) between maternity apparel style and job type. In future researches, diverse job distinction other than the classification of being professional or non-being professional can be arranged to study the influence of job type. Also it is recommended to explore the interaction between the appearance cues except clothing and job type.

간호사의 직무스트레스와 DiSC 행동유형 및 조직사회자본이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Job Stress, DiSC Behavioral Type and Organizational Social Capital on Job Satisfaction among Some Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the independent role of sub-dimensions of job stress, DiSC(R) type of personal behavior, and organizational social capital on job satisfaction and to identify the structural relation among them. Method: Study subjects were 317 registrated nurses employed in 4 general hospitals in a metropolitan city. Results: As the results of multiple regression analysis, the factors influenced independently on overall job satisfaction were as follows; job stress were significantly decreased job satisfaction. Regarding DiSC, job satisfaction of influence type was significantly higher than that of conscientiousness type. Of sub-dimension of OCS, the higher common value and reciprocity were, the high over all job satisfaction, but in a sub-dimension(trust), the relationship was reversed. Major findings of structural equation model analysis were as follows. Regarding DiSC, there were founded only direct effect on job satisfaction(D, i, S>C in relations with peer and others, job performance, retrospectively). Regarding common value of OCS, there were founded significant positive direct effect and indirect effect via job stress on all sub-dimensions of job satisfaction. Regarding trust of OCS, there were founded negative direct effect alone on 2 sub-dimensions of job satisfaction(work itself, job performance). Regarding trust of OCS, there were founded positive direct and indirect effect on satisfaction towards work itself, and indirect effect alone on 2 sub-dimensions(relations with peer and others, job performance). Conclusion: Summing up above finding, to manage job satisfaction of nurses, it is suggested for nursing staffs to provide behavioral training programs according to type of DiSC(R) and to introduce strategic programs fostering organizational social capital such as common vision and reciprocity.

An Analysis on Fashion Model Types

  • Focusing on working with fashion show as fashion model in South Korea, this study was develop a fashion model typology based on specific model characteristics related demographics and body, job satisfaction/dissatisfaction factors. The survey was done through questionnaire and 194 fashion models were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis used in this study were frequency, ${\chi}^2$-test, cluster Analysis, MANOVA. ANOVA and Duncan multiple range test. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The majority of sample were as follows: unmarried, college graduate and undergraduate, resident in the Seoul, 20 to 24 yrs old female with 175-177 cm, 52-54 kg, B-W-H (33-24-35 inch). 2) The types of fashion model were classified into 4 types: showing type, lack of professionalism type, matured professionalism type, dissatisfaction with job-environment type. The model segments were profiled on levels of various job related attitude factors, job satisfaction/dissatisfaction, model education, working condition, human relation, regulation discrimination, fashion show stage level, the job of model, body & clothing, and promising job. 3) There were significant differences found between their sex, academic background, guarantee, and in all factors in their job related attitude factors, job satisfaction/dissatisfaction, model education, working condition, human relation, regulation discrimination, fashion show stage level, the job of model, body & clothing, style promising job.

일 대학 치기공과 재학생의 성격유형과 전공 및 직업만족도, 희망직무와의 관계 (The Relationship between the Personality Type, Major Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction and Desired job position of Dental Technology Students)

  • Purpose: This study aims to offer fundamental data to develop a career program that helps the dental technology students find a proper and desired job position and to be satisfied with their job. To this goal, we analysed the differences found between the personality type, major satisfaction, job satisfaction, and preference in job position among the dental technology students. Method: We conducted a survey using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator among the subjects who are sophomores and juniors of the dental technology department of a university in Gangwon province. Our analysis was grounded on 130 valid questionnaires. Results: The results are summarized as follows: In personality type ESTJ turned out the highest as 20.0%, while ENTP was the lowest as 0.8%. The preference was revealed as Extraversion (66.9%), Sensing (74.6%), Feeling (50.8%), Judging (61.5%) respectively. Of the general characteristics, only the religious or non-religious state was statistically meaningful as (p<. 05) in emotional type (F). No statistical significance was found in the major satisfaction. The job satisfaction was statistically meaningful as p<. 05 in Judgemental type (J). GPA was statistically significant as p<. 05 in the sensory type of the personality type. Desired job position was statistically meaningful as p<. 05 in emotional and cognitive types. Conclusion: We found a meaningful difference in the job satisfaction and the desired job position with respect to the personality type of dental technology students. However clear explanation of the correlations among these factors requires a more comprehensive survey and various approaches from the personality and psychology tests, which is to follow.
