  • In this study, tensile adhesive strength(TAS) test was carreid out for evaluated the effects of temperature conditions (-20, -10, 0, 5, 10, 20, 30, $40^{\circ}C$) on the tensile adhesive characteristics about 4 type waterproofing membranes which were commercially used in bridge decks. And, failure appeariences of waterproofing systems in each temperature after TAS test were observed the sawing surfaces of waterproofing systems for whether or not damaged of waterproofing membranes. Also, correction coefficient of TAS with temperature were calculated using 4 type waterproofing membrane. It could be shown that the higher TAS and shear adhesive strength, the lower temperature, regardless of the type of waterproofing membrane. Temperature sensibility of TAS was especially remarkable in epoxy membrane. Failure type was occurred the ductile failure in $30^{\circ}C\;and\;40^{\circ}C$. From these results, it was shown that if ambient temperature above $30^{\circ}C$ maintains for a long time, waterproofing membrane will be deformed by softening. Otherwise, waterproofing membrane in temperature below $20^{\circ}C$ shown that occurred the brittle failure. From the results of visual observation of cutting surface for specimen, the thin waterproofing membranes shown indented by hot aggregate of the asphalt mixtures. Therefore, it could be known that the specification of waterproofing membrane thickness is necessary by waterproofing membrane type. As temperature change varied with pavement depth, the interface temperature was more important than ambient temperature in TAS test. Now, TAS test results were limited only in $-10^{\circ}C\;and\;20^{\circ}C$ temperature, but correction coefficient of TAS by ambient temperature could be used as a solution to deal with this problem.

  • A portable RF HTS SQUID-based susceptometer was applied to the measurement of fatigue behavior for type 316L(N) stainless steel containing 0.04% to 0.15% nitrogen content. Strain-controlled low cycle fatigue (LCF) tests were conducted at RT and $600^{\circ}C$ in air an atmosphere, and the magnetic moments were measured after the fatigue test using HTS SQUID. The magnetic moment of an as-received sample is higher than that of a fatigued sample in all the temperature ranges irrespective of the nitrogen content. The fatigue life decreased with an increasing test temperature up to $500^{\circ}C$, but increased at $600^{\circ}C$. The change of the magnetic moments by LCF test is attributed to the stress induced micro defects.

  • The effect of various environmental conditions on the durability of E-glass fiber/vinylester resin composites have been investigated using the tensile test specimen of strand type. It was found that the durability test method performed by the stand type specimen was more convenient and reliable than other conventional test method. The weight gains increased with the immersion time in both water and alkaline solution, and the Weight gains at $50^{\circ}C$. were much bigger than those at $20^{\circ}C$ in both conditions. The tensile strength decreased with the pass of immersion time in all aqueous solution, and the tensile strength at $80^{\circ}C$ in alkaline solution decreased very steeply at beginning of immersion time. The decrement of tensile strength according to the immersion time in various environmental conditions was mainly caused by the degradation of interface and the damage of glass fiber surface.

To achieve this purpose, 2 hours sessions of imagery therapy were given to the patients with breast cancer twice a week for 6 weeks. The period of data collection was from July, 7th to August, 12th 2002. The participants were 30 patients, 15 experimental group, 15 control group who were treated at the G University hospital in J City. This study was designed using a quasi-experimental approach with non-equivalent Pre test-Post test Design. The themes for the Imagery Therapy Program were composed of Leuner's(1969) 12 Imagery Themes: flower, green-field, stream, mountain, house, woods, significant figures, rose, lion, ideal self-image, cave and volcano. The data were analyzed with ${\chi}2-test$ and MANOVA using the SPSS program. The course of image change of the 12 imagery themes was analyzed by content analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First Hypothesis, 'The score of type C personality in the women with mastectomy who received imagery therapy will be significantly lower than that of the control group' was supported(p<.05). Second Hypothesis, 'The score of coping mechanism' in the women with mastectomy who received imagery therapy will be significantly higher than that of the control group' was rejected. In conclusion, imagery therapy is suggested as an effective nursing intervention to change type C personality of the women with mastectomy, but not effective to improve coping mechanism. Therefore, the program for the women with mastectomy should be developed to change their coping mechanism, method of problem solving and Quality of life.

  • PURPOSES : This study is to evaluate the feasibility of setting the standard of cement alkali content by using ASTM C 1260(accelerated mortar bar test) METHODS : This study analyzes the ASR(alkali silica reaction) expansion of cement mortar bar based on the changes in the aggregate type(fine, coarse), cement type(ordinary, low alkali), and replacement contents of fly ash. ASR tests were conducted according to ASTM C 1260. RESULTS : In this test results, There is no big difference in the ASR expansion between ordinary cement and low alkali cement. From this test results, it was found that the variation of cement alkali content did not have a effect on ASR expansion because mortar bar was placed in a container with sufficient alkali aqueous solution at high temperature during the test process of ASTM C 1260. CONCLUSIONS : It is evidently clear that the alkali content of cement have a effect on ASR. But ASTM C 1260 is difficult to assess this effect.
