The change in filamentous bacteria appearance was observed by adjusting factors such as organic and nurient concentration of feed wastewater and the aeration rate in the reactor. In case that COD:N:P and DO were 100:10:1 and 6.1 m1/1 respectively, the mean SVI was 122 ml/g and the filaments were developed normally in flocs. For the low DO con- dition, however, the SVI averaged 186 ml/g and the appearance of outgrowing filaments were more frequent. When the high organic was supplied into the reactor, the average SVI was 274 ml/g and the distinct filamentous bulking was observed. Meanwhile when COD:N:P was maintained at 100: 1 :0.5, the SVI was as low as 87 ml/g and the appearance of filaments were minimal and the size of flocs was small comparing other experimental conditions. For normal, low aeration and high organic concentration, predominant filaments in the early stage of experiments were commonly Type 021N,S. natans which were usually found in low DO condition. However, Type 041, Type 1851, Type 0961 became predominant as experiments extended. Meanwhile, in low nutrient condition, Type 0675, Type 1851, and Type 0961 were observed. The filamentous bacteria appearance for SVI< 150(ml/g), Type 0041, Type 0961 (usually low organic in feed wastewater) were predominantly observed and SVI > 150(ml/g), S. natans and Type 021N(usually low DO in aeration basin) was predominant.

This study was designed to verify the clothing satisfaction according to product type (jacket vs. pantyhose) and consumer fashion involvement. Research problems were as following; 1. To identify a clothing satisfaction according to product type. 2. To discover which of satisfaction relevant variables has the most influence on clothing satisfaction. 3. To examine the relationship between expectations and discontinuations. 4. To examine the degree of influence of product type and consumer fashion involvement on expectations. The survey was carried out in Pulsar shopping area. The 104 subjects (51 for jacket, 53 for pantyhose) participated in the final analysis. The results of analysis were as following; 1. The main path of clothing satisfaction was that the product type -1 the expectations -1 the perceived performance (-1 the discontinuation) -1 the clothing satisfaction. Those relevant variables explained 62% of clothing satisfaction variance. The most powerful determinant was the perceived performance. 2. For jacket type, the influence of perceived performance appeared to be greater than that of the discontinuation. And the consumer fashion involvement affected the expectations and the discontinuation. 3. For pantyhose type, the consumer fashion involvement divan't affect the expectations. The influence of discontinuation was relatively higher than that of jacket type.
This study was carried out on 132 obese women who satisfied both of the conditions for obesity : over 1.6 in Roher index and over 90cm in bust girth. The purpose of the study was to classify body shape of obese women and find out their respective characteristics. 1. The characteristics on shape of body measurements are the front of waist height was higer than the back of waist height due to the obesity in abdominal region and the front of the abodominal depthe was high indicating the protruding of the abdominal region. 2. Characteristics of different obese body types 1) In the study of total body type, 5 factors were found as a result of factor analsis and body types were classified 4 types (type 1: short upper torso and obese arms and legs, type 2: Long and thick torso, type 3: the most obese torso, arms and legs, type 4: less obese torso according to the cluster analysis. 2) The torso body types were coassified 2 groups (type 1: less obese than average body type, type 2: large in all girth, depth and breadth according) to the different body parts such as back lengh, bust girth, hip girth and acromion to acromion breadth. 3) The lower body types were classified 2 groups (type 1: short legs, less the depth and breadth, type 2: large in all lower body measurenents) according to back of waist height, waist girth and hip girth.

17-${\beta}$-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 ($17{\beta}$-HSD type 1) mediates the reaction of $17{\beta}$-estradiol (E2) production from estrone (E1). Inhibitory effects of curcuminoids on $17{\beta}$-HSD type 1 activity were investigated to find a lead compound for treating estrogen-dependent diseases including breast cancer. Among curcuminoids, demethoxycurcumin showed potent inhibitory effect ($IC_{50}=2.7{\mu}M$) on mouse $17{\beta}$-HSD type 1. Curcuminoids also displayed their inhibitory effects on the production of $17{\alpha}$-estradiol which is a carcinogenic metabolite produced by the enzyme. Bisdemethoxycurcumin ($IC_{50}=1.3{\mu}M$) showed potent inhibitory effect on the $17{\alpha}$-estradiol production by chicken $17{\beta}$-HSD type 1. Curcuminoids did not inhibit ERE transcriptional activity with and without E2. Taken together, curcuminoids can be used for treating and preventing E2-dependent diseases via inhibition on $17{\beta}$-HSD type 1 activity.

The objectives of this paper are to study the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop of the micro channel heat exchangers using diffusion bonding technology. Four types of heat exchangers are designed and manufactured, which are straight type, long dot type, splited wavy type and straight double side type. Heat transfer and pressure drop performance of each heat exchangers are measured in various operating conditions, and compared each other. The results show that the $(j/f)^{1/3}$ performance of splited wavy type and long dot type increases about 10.3% and 6.1% at the Reynolds number 470 compared to that of straight type, respectively. On the other hand, $(j/f)^{1/3}$ performance of straight double side type decreases 19.7%.
Purpose: To determine the clinical value of the Siewert classification for gastic-cancer patients in Korea, we evaluated and compared the clinicopathologic factors of type II and type III cancer. Materials and Methods: The medical records of 89 consecutive patients who had undergone surgery for an adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) at the Department of Surgery, Hanyang University Hospital, between Jun. 1992 and Dec. 2003 were reviewed retrospectively. Results: There were one patient with type I, 12 pateints with type II and 77 patients with type III. During the same period, 1,341 patients underwent surgery for a gastric carcinoma, so proportion of GEJ cancer being $6.6\%$. The median followup duration was 31 months (range: $2\∼135$ months), and the follow-up rate was $100\%$. Between type II and type III cancers, there were no significant differences in the clinicopathologic variables including age, sex, gross appearance, histologic type, depth of invasion, and pathologic stage. The longest diameter of the tumor was larger in type III ($6.1\pm2.1$ cm) than in type II ($3.9\pm1.1$ cm)(P=0.001). A total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy was done most frequently, while jejunal interposition was done in 3 cases of type II and 2 cases of type III. More than a D2 lymphadenectomy was done all cases. The numbers of dissected lymph nodes and metastatic lymph nodes in type II were 43.8 and 5.8 respectively, while they were 49.8 and 8.1 in type III, but the difference between the two groups were not statistically significant. The mean length of the proximal resection margin was $15\pm5$ mm in type II and $21\pm13$ mm in type III, but this difference was not statistically significanct. The time to recurrence after operation was 19.3 months in type II and 16.9 months in type III. The five-year survival rates of type II and III were $68.8\%\;and\;52.7\%$ respectively, but difference was not significant. Conclusion: There were no significant differences in the clinicopathologic variables, including survival rate, between type II and type III cancers in Korean patients According to these findings, it appears to be reasonable to classify type III cancer as a cardia cancer in a broad sense.

In this study, biomonitoring methods were developed to measure BTEXs exposure level in the air, metabolites of benzene and toluene in human urine, individual susceptibility markers in human blood for evaluation of the health effects about environmental pollution. We have also performed a small-scaled molecular epidemiology study on residents in Chuncheon and workers in workplace for these method applications. The workers in workplace were surveyed as study areas, and the residents in Chuncheon which is in the suburban area were surveyed as comparative areas in this study. Actually, 31 workers in as target group and 33 residences in as control group this epidemiological study. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1. Benzene is a well-known carcinogen, it's median concentrations were 0.00024∼0.02057ppm at suburban area and 0.002∼00.654ppm at work place, These benzene concentrations were not exceed the OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration) threshold benzene level of 1ppm in the states. 2. Metabolites product of benzene(t,t-Muconic Acid) and toluene(Hippuric Acid) were not significant both in suburban and workplace area. The median concentration of t,t-MA and HA were 0.0122, 1.44277g/g creatinine, respectively. 3. In the case of individual susceptibility markers as CYPlAl, 41.8% of them has homozygous wild type(W) and who has heterozygous variant type(H) was 35.4% and 22.8% of homozygous variant type(M) genetic type. In the case of CYP2E1, 62.82% of them has homozygous wild type(D) type, 34.62% of each has heterozygous variant type (DC) and 2.56% of them has homozygous variant type (CC). Who doesn't have GSTM1 gene was 46.25% and who has GSTM1 gene was 53.75%. Who doesn't have GSTT1 gene was 40.0% in study groups and who has GSTT1 gene was 60.0%. Who has W genetic type, which is homozygous wild type of GSTP1, was 69.18% and H genetic type, which is heterozygous variant type was 28.4%. M genetic type which is homozygous variant type was 2.4%. 4. Concentration differences of metabolites such as t,t-MA and HA in urine, which is generated by individual susceptibility marker of GSTM1, GSTT1, GSTP1 gene of Phase I and CYP1A1, CYP2E1 gene of Phase II, was examined. As a result, GSTP1 and GSTM1 indicate slight differences depend on the amount of metabolites in urine, it was not statistically significant.
This study was carried out to identify the skin anti-aging effect of cycloheterophyllin on dermal fibroblasts. To elucidate anti-aging effects of cycloheterophyllin on dermal fibroblasts, I measured cell viability, mRNA expressions, and Collagen, type I/matrix metallopeptidase 1(MMP1)-ELISA assay. In this study, I investigated the effects of cycloheterophyllin on Collagen, type I, alpha 1(COL1A1)/Collagen, type III, alpha 1(COL3A1)/MMP1/Superoxide dismutases/Catalase(CAT) mRNA expressions and Collagen, type I/MMP1 protein production. Quantitative Real-time RT-PCR showed that cycloheterophyllin increased mRNA level of COL1A1/COL3A1/CAT genes and collagen, type I protein by ELISA assay compared to UVA-treated dermal fibroblasts. Furthermore MMP1 mRNA and protein expressions were decreased by cycloheterophyllin treatment. These observations revealed that cycloheterophyllin increased anti-aging effects in dermal fibroblasts. Therefore, I identified the anti-aging effects of cycloheterophyllin, and these results showed that the cycloheterophyllin can be a considerable potent ingredient for skin anti-aging. Based on this, I anticipated further researches about cycloheterophyllin for mechanism to develop not only cosmetics but for healthcare food or medicine.

We categorize partnership types between network operators and a global video streaming or over-the-top service provider, Netflix from 2011 to the first quarter 2018. The options are based on the integration of over-the-top (OTT), Netflix with pay TV and telecommunication operators in the form of carrier billing, access to over-the-top (OTT) via devices or the development of their tariff plans. Options of the Type 3, 'cooperation' or the Type 4, 'agreement' entails a kind of the technical involvement between two partners and commercial agreement. The types of partnership are evolving from one to others. Some partnerships have characteristics of more than one type. The majority of technical or service integration cooperation of Type 3 entail bundling and marketing promotion of Type 2 and Type 1. Similarly, the 'agreement' of Type 4, co-branded or white-label service initiative entail tariff or device user interface (UI) integration of the 'cooperation' of Type 3 and joint marketing initiatives of Type 1.
Fluorescent receptors have gained much attention because of their usefulness in analysis and clarification of the roles of biomolecules in living systems. Molecular structures of the integrated type including that the receptor itself is fluorescent, and play an important role in having the functionality or selectivity of the fluorescent compounds. These spaced type fluorescent receptors are required to have special molecular design in order to transmit the information of molecular recognition to the fluorescent unit through the spacer unit. Compared with the spaced type fluorescent receptors, number of the integrated type receptors is limited due to the difficult molecular design and synthesis. Modification of alteration of the fluorophore frequently caused deterioration of the fluorescent property. Various spaced type and integrated type fluorescent receptors including switch on-off receptors are introduced in this article.
