The Design of PIDA Controller with Pre-Compensator

  • PID controller is applied mostly to two-order system. In third-order or higher- system, it's impossible to get high response quality because of having more zero point than the number of zero point being in the PID controller. To solve those, Jung & Dorf suggested a new type of PIDA controller and solved problen of a third-order system. But, as the result of getting step response using PIDA controller, rising time is very quickly but wide overshoot is happened. Beside designing PIDA controller with using CDM(Coefficient Diagram Method) suggested by shunji manabe. But, In Performance standard, CDM decreases overshoot to desired but rising time is very slow. Therefore this paper suggest a PD-PIDA controller for low overshoot with PD type Pre-compensator. This paper applied designed PD-PIDA controller to position control of 3-Phase induction motor.

  • For precise micro-grooving and surface machining, ultrasonic cyclic elliptical cutting is proposed using two parallel piezoelectric actuators. The piezoelectric actuators are energized by sinusoidal voltages of varying phase which is essenstial to generating elliptical cutting. Experimental setup is composed of ultrasonic motor, single crystal diamond cutting tool, and precise motorized xyz stage. It is confirmed experimentally that the cutting performance, in terms of the cutting force, the burr formation, and the discontinuous chip formation is improved remarkably by applying ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting.

  • This paper proposed a new converter topology improving the split source type converter. In this converter. two switches and six diodes add to the split source type converter. The proposed converter has a performance minimized a negative torqe, putting a phase current off by double impressed voltage 2Vdc. Hence, a new converter results in increase of the average output power and improves converter efficiency in heavy load and high speed. Theoretical prediction is verified by experimental results got with a new proposed converter and 8/6 poles SRM.

  • The SRM can be operated on the high speed range in which the back-emf is greater than the DC link voltage. However, the phase current of the SRM should be controlled through the selection of an exciting angle since it can not be controlled by a chop of the DC link voltage in the high speed range. In this paper, a PI and a bang-bang controller are employed in order to control the speed of the SRM and the leading angle of the SRM is adapted as a control input. The performances of two controllers are evaluated by computer simulation. The results show that the bang-bang controller is more attractive than the PI controller in the cost and performance aspects.

  • 2상 하이브리드 스텝모터를 미세스텝으로 제어하면 저속에서도 부드럽게 회전하고, 스텝 분해능을 높일 수 있으며, 공진으로 인한 바람직하지 못한 현상들을 제거할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 고성능 미세스텝 구동회로를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 미세스텝 구동회로는 2상 하이브리드 스텝모터의 1회전스텝(1.8도)을 128 미세스텝으로 구동할 수 있는 위치 분해능을 가지며 스텝모터를 장시간 구동할 때 발생되는 열로 인한 문제점을 줄이기 위한 전류 절약 동작모드를 지원한다.

Support Vector Machine Based Bearing Fault Diagnosis for Induction Motors Using Vibration Signals

  • In this paper, we propose a new method for detecting bearing faults using vibration signals. The proposed method is based on support vector machines (SVMs), which treat the harmonics of fault-related frequencies from vibration signals as fault indices. Using SVMs, the cross-validations are used for a training process, and a two-stage classification process is used for detecting bearing faults and their status. The proposed approach is applied to outer-race bearing fault detection in three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively identify the bearing faults and their status, hence improving the accuracy of fault diagnosis.

  • Since rotor position information is necessary to drive the SRM, absolute-encoder, resolver and incremental encoder is used to detect a rotor position. But, it is not desirable to use a high price encoder and microprocessor under the condition of the simple driving system when precision control is not demanded. In this paper, only using the reflective type two photo-sensors replaces the conventional opto-interrupter and slotted-disk, which not only remove a slotted-disk section but drive three-phase 6/4 pole SRM bidirectionally, Therefore, control circuit can compose common analog device with low price.

회전연료 분사시스템의 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of the Rotating Fuel Injection System)

  • The spray characteristics of the rotating fuel injection system were investigated. The special test rig was devised to get the spatial and momentary droplet information. This experimental apparatus consists of a high-speed motor, a shaft, a rotating fuel nozzle and an acrylic case. Spray droplet size and velocity were measured by PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) and instantaneous velocity field was measured by 1'IV (Particle Image Velocimetry) system. At the same time, spray visualization was performed by using ND-YAG laser-based flash photography. From these two different laser diagnostic techniques, we could get spatial and instantaneous spray information fur rotating fuel injection system. The results presented in this paper indicate that spray characteristics such as droplet size, velocity and spray pattern were strongly influenced by rotational speed.

  • The running of the electric train are done by powering, breaking and coasting. Powering to start and accelerate the rolling stock means driving the three-phase electric induction motors controlled by VVVF inverters which are connected to overhead power line directly(DC) or indirectly(AC, DC/AC). Breaking is achieved by blending control which is the proportional combination between regenerative breaking of VVVF inverter and air pressure control of breaking operating unit(BOU). Therefore, Data obtained during two operation are very important items to evaluate the running performance of RS. This paper has investigated in real time data acquired from VVVF inverter and measured by pressure sensor directly connected to air breaking line(motor car and trailer car). By analyzing data in the region of time and frequency, fundamental methods for eavaluating the running performance of RS quantitatively and objectively have been suggested.

  • 횡자속의 기본원리는 릴럭턴스 전동기와 같다. 발생한 힘밀도는 공극과 극간격에 반비례하고 기자력의 자성에 비례한다. 이러한 횡자속 선형전동기를 적용할 경우 추력의 변화로 인해서 진동과 힘의 불평형이 발생하는 것이 일반적이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 추력 불평형과 진동특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법이 다상형으로 구동하는 방법이 있으며 힘을 균일하게 할 수 있고 전동기의 체적을 줄이고 진동특성을 저감시킬 수 있다는 것이라고 판단된다.
