Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an e-learning orientation program for nursing students(junior), to evaluate the program, and to find out its effects on adapting to clinical practicum. Methods: The e-learning orientation program was developed according to ADDIE model(analysis, design, develop, implement, evaluate) using an Active Tutor Program. Twelve nursing professionals and 31 nursing students(learners) evaluated the e-learning orientation program. Thirty one nursing students participated in the e-learning orientation program both on-line and off-line. Results: The e-learning orientation program consisted of 5 parts including 'Taking a lesson in gastrointestinal tract', 'Fundamental nursing skill and reading a medical chart', 'Taking a ward orientation by head nurse', 'Clinical practice with preceptors', and 'Writing for case report'. Adapting scores to clinical practicum were significantly different between pre-test and post-test(t=-5.76, p=.000). Conclusion: The e-learning orientation program of on-line and off-line has an effect on adapting to clinical practicum for nursing students.

Deafs train articulation by observing mouth of a tutor. sensing tactually the notions of the vocal organs, or using speech training aids. Present speech training aids for deafs can measure only single speech ter, or display only frequency spectra in histogrm or pseudo-color. In this study, a speech training aids that can display subject's articulation in the form of a cross section of the vocal organs and other speech parameters together in a single system Is aimed to develop and this system makes a subject to know where to correct. For our objective, first, speech production mechanism is assumed to be AR model in order to estimate articulatory notions of the vocal tract from speech signal. Next, a vocal tract profile mode using LPC analysis is made up. And using this model, articulatory notions for Korean vowels are estimated and displayed in the vocal tract profile graphics.

Recently, the number of students to choose to study in Australia has been increasing significantly. The purpose of this study is to examine how Korean primary school children perceive their own English language learning and cultural adaptation in Australia. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 34 Korean children aged 8-13 who were attending primary schools in Brisbane, Queensland. The study results show that they made diverse efforts to learn English language and culture in Australia, such as making English-speaking friends, watching TV/video/DVD, reading English books, and studying with a foreign tutor. Their English listening and writing abilities were thought to be improved most, followed by speaking, reading and cultural understanding after studying in Australia. The subjects were mostly satisfied with their study and life in Australia but they had difficulties with communicating in English, homesickness, foods, weather, insects, and discrimination. In particular, they had problems with understanding classes conducted all in English and participating in the classroom activities due to their low level of English ability and understanding of Australian classroom culture. The findings of this study have pedagogical implications for educators both in Australia and Korea.

본 논문은 학습관리시스템(LMS), 학습콘텐츠관리시스템(LCMS), 학습지원도구를 포함한 기업 e-Learning 시스템과 운영을 연계한 통합적 형태의 가이드라인을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 국내 e-Learning 시스템 현황 및 특성을 실태조사를 통해 파악하고, 관련된 국내 e-Learning 시스템의 다양한 질 관리 방법과 운영자, 교.강사, 학습자에게 적합한 실행 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 e-Learning을 새롭게 도입하거나 업그레이드 하고자 하는 교육훈련기관에게 e-Learning 시스템을 구축하고 운영체계를 수립하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

분석도구 R은 대용량 데이터의 고급 분석과 통계 계산을 위한 스크립트 언어로 빅데이터의 자료 분석에 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 대학의 학습 활동 측면에서의 튜터링 학습법은 학습 능력이 우수한 선배 또는 동료인 튜터와 학습 받고자하는 튜티가 1:1 또는 1:N의 관계를 이루고 학습 활동을 진행해 나가는 과정이다. 지난 연구에서는 튜터링 학습법에 참여한 학생들의 학업 성취도가 튜터링 학습법에 참여하지 않은 일반 학생들의 학업 성취도 보다 얼마나 높은지 정량적 값을 도출했었다. 본 연구에서는 튜터링 학습법에 참여했던 학생들의 튜터링 참여 과목 이외 다른 전공과목의 성적 성취도를 분석도구 R을 이용하여 분석해 봄으로써 튜터링 학습법 참여 경험이 튜터링을 실시하지 않은 다른 전공과목의 학업 성취도에 영향을 미치고 있는지 분석하였다.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a Core Skill-TLP(Core Skill-Tutorial, Laboratory, Practicum) package in Patient Management and to effect of core skill-TLP education. Methods : This study was used to developed Patient Management' Core Skill-TLP package throughout 14 steps of Core Skill-TLP package development model. Then, Core Skill-TLP Learning methodology was implemented in first year student in the undergraduate emergency medical technology, and survey was done. Results : 1. Core Skill-TLP package model was presented based on conceptual model of PBL(S-PBL). 2, The student in OSCE did significantly better in clinical patient management core skills performance. 3. As to the satisfaction of Core Skill-TLP package management, student, tutor and self-satisfaction score was 3.21, 3.42, 3.38 respectively. Conclusion : This study was suggested that Core Skill-TLP education would be necessary with well-structured package and achieved advantage of simulation and PBL.

The purpose of the study was to explore the potential of the Social Network Analysis as an analytical tool for scientific investigation of learner-learner, or learner-tutor interaction within an Computer Supported Corporative Learning (CSCL) environment. Theoretical and methodological implication of the Social Network Analysis had been discussed. Following theoretical analysis, an exploratory empirical study was conducted to test statistical correlation between traditional performance measures such as achievement and team contribution index, and the centrality measure, one of the many quantitative measures the Social Network Analysis provides. Results indicate the centrality measure was correlated with the higher order learning performance and the peer-evaluated contribution indices. An interpretation of the results and their implication to instructional design theory and practices were provided along with some suggestions for future research.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to present a procedure for developing a PBL package and to provide the example of its application. Method: In this study, the PBL package was proposed based on the integrated curricular under maternity nursing. The PBL package model proposed by Little was applied to this study. Result: The procedure for developing the PBL package includes course objectives, learning objectives, concept mapping, situation scenario, tutor guide, and evaluation method. Clinical scenarios used in 3 PBL packages were composed of a pregnant women, a childbirth women, and a postpartum women. The Eight detailed steps are given in this study. Conclusion: Through these findings, the steps might be easier and more useful for nurse professionals to begin using the PBL package in maternity nursing. In addition, the steps will actively contribute to imply the PBL in nursing education.

This study engages in the features of interaction in elementary school mathematics lessons as reflected in the class discourse. 28 pre-service teachers documented the discourse during observation of their tutor-teachers' lessons. Mapping the interaction patterns was performed by a unique graphic model developed for that purpose and enabled providing a spatial picture of the discourse conducted in the lesson. The research findings present the known discourse pattern "initiation-response-evaluation / feedback" (IRE/F) which is recurrent in all the lessons and the teacher's exclusive control over the class discourse patterns. Hence, the remaining time of the lesson for the pupils' discourse is short and meaningless.

Artificial intelligence (AI) will have a huge impact on future education. We look at the role of AI in education and changes in schools. Personalized education is being attempted in limited services, and an interactive tutor service with speech recognition/dialog technology is being developed. In the future, we look forward to fully personalized education for individual students through AI teachers. Teachers are expected to make more effort to teach creative thinking, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. As the speed of development of AI technology accelerates, we expect that AI-based education will be deeply established around us in the near future. We first introduce the details of the personalization technology and then discuss the AI-based foreign language speaking education research conducted by ETRI.
