이 연구의 목적은 초 중등학교 학생들에게 수송 기술에 대한 흥미 및 지식, 기능, 태도를 기르고 나아가 역사 인식을 제고할 수 있는 교수-학습 자료인 학습용 모형 거북선을 개발하는 것이다. 먼저 문헌 연구를 수행하고, 모형 거북선의 구조와 구동방법 살핀 후, 모형거북선을 만들었다. 이 연구를 통하여 얻은 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들이 직접 제작하고 실험함으로써 설계 능력, 제작 능력, 탐구 능력 및 기술적 소양을 함양할 수 있도록 모형 거북선을 개발하였다. 둘째, 구동에너지에 따라 자연에너지를 이용한 돛, 태양에너지를 이용한 태양전지, 기계적인 에너지를 이용한 링크장치 및 스크루를 활용한 학습용 모형 거북선을 개발하였다. 셋째, 수송 영역에서 선박에 대한 관심과 흥미를 유발할 수 있도록 물 위에서 무선 조작으로 작동하는 모형 거북선을 개발하였다. 넷째, 역사적으로 의미 있는 전통 문화 유산인 거북선을 초 중등학교 기술 교과에서 실험 실습 교수-학습 자료로 활용할 수 있도록 개발하였다.

In these days, the pollution of marine environment near island at Korean coastal zone caused by the trash, human waste and livestocks excreta become series problem. One of the most economic and efficient way to prevent this pollution problem is to set up island circulating incineration system. In this paper, the results of feasibility study on the application of turtle boat hull form to the incinearting vessel has been summarized especially for the resistance and course keeping point of view.

In the present paper, a hull form for the turtle boat type incinerating vessel was developed based on the Finite source Distribution Method(FDM) and 1-$C_p$ method. In order to obtain proper hull form within the limited time and budget, a computer program OCL(Optimization of $C_p$ and LCB) was developed adn used. For the confirmation of the theoretical results by OCL, these theoretical results were compared with results of model test in the circulating water channel (CWC)in Chosun University.

This paper reports the strandings of sea turtles on Korean shores monitored for the first time in 2008. A total of 19 sea turtles, consisting of 12 greens and 7 loggerheads, were recorded as stranded from the east coast to the south including Jeju Island. Reported strandings reached a peak in July and dominant area was Jeju Island. The curved carapace length of loggerhead sea turtles ranged 65-84.2cm and that of green sea turtles ranged 39.2-90cm, indicating most of them were immature to sub-adult. Out of 19 turtles, 11 were found dead with unknown reasons. Possible causes of death may include drawning by fishing gear, swallowing of marine debris, boat collision, and diseases. An immature green sea turtle tagged with a satellite transmitter spent winter near Jeju Island where it was released, suggesting that the Island provide immature greens a feeding ground. Considering thousands of sea turtles crawl on Japanese shores for nesting every year, the number of sea turtles reported in Korean waters was relatively small. Therefore, it is suggested that an appropriate monitoring system be necessary to protect and conserve endangered sea turtle species in Korean waters.

최근 조선 선조 때 유성룡의 『경자년 대통력』(1600)이 국외소재문화재재단에 의해 일본에서 국내로 환수되었고, 이 책의 여백에 초서로 작성된 비망기록 4천여 자를 노승석이 해독하였다. 이는 203일 간의 대부분 새로운 내용들로서 그 당시 유성룡의 생활과 교유양상을 이해하는 데 중요한 것이다. 각 날짜별 날씨와 하루 일과, 당시 인물, 질병과 한약 처방 등이 적혀 있다. 특히 표지에 적힌 83자의 이순신의 전사 기록에는 당시의 상황이 상세하게 담겨 있다. 이순신이 전사한 후 1년여 기간이 지난 뒤에 그 전사내용을 적은 것은 선조의 전교를 받아 이순신의 공적을 현창하려는 조정의 여론에 부응하여 그의 전공을 오랫동안 되새기기 위해 적은 것으로 추측된다. 이 기록은 두 가지로 정리된다. 첫째, 이순신이 고금도에서 유성룡의 파직 소식을 듣고 탄식하고 왜교성전투 이후 항상 배안에서 맑은 물을 떠놓고 다짐한 것. 둘째, 노량해전에서 부장들이 간언하여 만류함에도 끝내 부하들의 말을 듣지 않고 직접 나가 전쟁을 독려하다가 날아온 탄환을 맞고 전사한 것이다. 이는 오직 결사적인 각오로 싸우다가 전사했다는 의미로 작성되어 전사설에 중요한 근거가 된다. 그 외 세간에 알려지지 않은 술을 만드는 법 9건과 기타 방법 1건이 있는데, 당시 유행한 양주법과 새롭게 고안한 것으로 보인다. 또한 『동의보감』저자인 허준이 유성룡에게 약품을 소개했다는 내용이 있고, 그외 빈민을 구제하고 집안의 제사에 참석하지 못한 경우를 주서(朱書)로 표기하였다. 일본에 잡혀간 강항(姜沆)의 귀환 소식과 귀갑선도(龜甲船圖)를 선조에게 올린 이덕홍(李德弘)의 아들 내용도 있다. 요컨대 『경자년 대통력』은 현존하는 문헌에 없는 새로운 사실들을 다수 담고 있어서 유성룡과 관계된 인물 연구는 물론, 그 당시 시대상황을 실증적으로 고증 연구하는데 중요한 사료가 될 것이다. 특히 이순신의 전사기록을 통해 항간에 잘못 알려진 자살설을 바로 잡고, 허준이 유성룡에게 의학정보를 제공했다는 새로운 사실을 밝힌 점은 이번 연구의 큰 성과라고 할 수 있다. 이 점에서 이 책은 앞으로 조선 선조 때의 유성룡과 관계된 역사와 인물을 연구하는 데 시금석이 될 것이다.
