Slope-Deflection Method에 의한 유조선의 횡강도 해석 (Transverse Strength of Oli Tanker Using S.D.M)

  • In this paper, an approximate calculation method on the transverse strength of oil tankers by use of slop-deflection method os described which considers the effect of shear deflection and varing section in elements and the result of calculation in models and actual ships, is presented. The object of this paper is focused on the development of program which can be used widely regardless strut numbers in transverse frame rings. To examine the reliability of the above method, the results in this paper are compared with the results which are obtained by use of SAP4(Structure Analysis Program) based on finite element method. The application of the Slope-Deflection Method on the transverse strength of oil tankers has the advantage that this method takes less than the other methods in calculation.

  • An experimental study was conducted to investigate the stress-strain behavior of confined concrete columns according to transverse reinforcement volumetric ratio. Uniaxial loading tests of eleven column specimens$(250\times100\times500mm)$ with rectangular section were conducted to study effect of confinement. The main variables in this test are transverse reinforcement volumetric ratio and cross tie arrangement. the results indicate that the strength and the ductility of confined concrete columns are subjected to transverse reinforcement volumetric ration and cross tie arrangement.

  • A higher-oder laminated plate theory including the effect of transverse shear deformation is developed to calculate the gross response and the detailed stress distribution. The theory satisfies the continuity condition of transverse shear stress, and accounts for parabolic variation of the transverse shear stresses through the thickness of each layer. Exact closed-ply laminates are obtained and the results are compared with three-dimensional elasticity solutions and a simple higher-order theory solutions. The results of the present work exhibit acceptable accuracy when compared to the three-dimensional elasticity solutions.

띠형 강보강재에 설치된 수동저항부재의 설치 특성에 따른 상호간섭계수 평가 (Evaluation on Degree of Interference Based on Installation Characteristics of Transverse Members Installed in Steel Strip Reinforcement)

  • 본 연구에서는 띠형 강보강재에 '${\sqcap}$' 형태의 수동저항부재를 설치하는 보강재에 대한 인발시험 결과를 바탕으로 수동저항부재의 간격 및 설치위치에 따른 간섭효과를 분석하였다. 수동저항부재에서 발현되는 최대수동저항력은 수동저항부재의 설치 위치에 따라 차이가 발생하였으며, 전면벽체에 근접하여 설치된 수동저항부재에서 더 큰 수동저항력이 발현되는 것을 확인하였다. 최대인발력을 사용하여 간섭계수(DI)를 평가한 결과, 지지부재 직경과 간격의 비(S/B)가 동일한 경우에는 수동저항부재의 설치 위치에 따른 인발력 차이를 반영하지 못하는 것으로 평가되었다. 그러나 최대수동저항력을 사용하여 간섭계수(F)를 산정할 경우에는 수동저항부재의 설치 간격뿐만 아니라, 수동저항부재의 설치 위치에 따른 최대수동저항력 차이를 반영하는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of transverse abdominal muscle contraction on pulmonary function in supine position. Methods : 10 female and 10 male college students were recruited this study. Pulmonary Function test was measured with QUARK SPIRO. To check the changes in lung function with transverse abdominal muscle contraction, we tested pulmonary function in the supine, with and without transverse abdominal muscle contraction. While the transverse abdominis was activating, we investigate in the change of forced expiration. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS Statistics VER.12.0 for window version p-values less than 0.05 were used to identify significant differences. Statistical analysis was used Paired t-test to know difference between activated and non-activated TrA of forced expiration. Results : The subject with transverse abdominal muscle contraction showed significant increments in variable of FVC, FEV1, PEF compared to the pre-intervention results (p<0.01). Conclusion : These results indicate that spontaneous contraction of the TrA helps pulmonary function. And the selective contraction of the transverse abdominis at the end of forced inspiration makes increases in the lung capacity.

도로터널 횡류환기방식의 환기특성 및 시스템 설계 관한 연구 (A study on the ventilation characteristics and design of transverse ventilation system for road tunnel)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로터널의 횡류환기 및 반횡류환기 방식의 설계 방안을 도출할 목적으로 수치해석적인 방법에 의해서 환기특성을 고찰하고 소요환기량과 환기 시스템 용량의 관계를 검토하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 급 배기 횡류환기방식에서 환기시스템의 급 배기풍량은 이론적으로 소요환기량과 자연환기량의 차가 되나, 해석결과에 의하면 환기시스템 용량은 소요환기량과 자연환기량의 차보다 약 10%정도 증가하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 또한 제트팬을 설치하여 종방향 풍속을 증가시키는 경우, 환기시스템의 급배기 풍량은 감소하나, 터널풍속이 증가할 수록 터널 내 농도가 감소하기 때문에 오염물질에 대한 배기효과가 감소하여, 횡류 환기시스템의 용량 감소효과는 감소하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 급기만 하는 반횡류식에서는 터널입구 풍향이 차량진행방향과 반대인 경우에는 환기시스템의 급기풍량은 소요환기량과 동일하나, 해석결과에서는 약 13.3% 이내의 범위에서 증가하는 것으로 나타나고 있으며, 터널입구 풍속이 음수인 상태에서는 제트팬 댓수를 증가하여 도 환기효과는 기대할 수 없는 것으로 나타났다.

유리 섬유 의치상 레진 강화재와 열 순환이 의치상 굽힘 강도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Glass Fiber Reinforcing Materials and Thermocycling on the Transverse Strength of Denture Base Resin)

  • 본 연구에서는 두 종류의 유리 섬유 의치상 강화재인 Quarts Splint$^{TM}$Mesh와 SES MESH$^{(R)}$의 의치상 보강 효과와 열 순환이 의치상의 굽힘 강도와 강화재의 강화 효과에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 시편은 $2.5{\times}10.0{\times}65.0mm$ 크기로 강화재를 사용하지 않은 대조군, 금속 격자 강화재, Splint$^{TM}$Mesh, SES MESH$^{(R)}$로 보강한 시편을 각각 20개씩 제작하였으며 그 중 10개에는 열 순환을 시행하였다. 3점 굽힘 실험을 시행하여 의치상의 굽힘 강도를 측정하였다. Quarts Splint$^{TM}$Mesh와 SES MESH$^{(R)}$로 강화한 군은 대조군보다 유의하게 높은 굽힘 강도를 나타내었으며(P<.05), 금속 격자 강화재로 보강한 군보다 유의하게 낮은 굽힘 강도를 나타내었다(P<.05). 모든 군에서 열 순환을 시행한 경우가 열 순환을 시행하지 않은 경우에 비해 낮은 굽힘 강도를 나타내었지만 대조군에서만 유의한 차이를 나타내었다(P<.05).

점용접된 구조물의 좌굴하중해석 (Buckling Load Analysis of Spot-Welded Structures)

  • This stability of a plate structure is very crucial problem which results in wrinkle and buckling. In this study, the effect of the pattern of spot-welding points of the two rectangular plates on the compressive and shear buckling load is studied with respect to the thickness, aspect ratio of plates and number of welding spots. Buckling coefficient of the plate not welded was compared with that of two plates with various thickness to extract the effect of thickness. The effect of number of welding spots are studied in two directions, longitudinal and transverse directions. The conclusions obtained were that the reinforcement effect was maximized when the aspect ratio was close to 1.75 at compressive load condition and that the effect of number of welding spots in transverse direction was larger than that in longitudinal direction at shearing load condition.

  • The stability of a structural plate is a crucial problem which causes wrinkling and buckling. In this paper, the effect of the pattern of spot-welding points in the two rectangular plate on the shear buckling load is studied with respect to the thickness, the aspect ratio of plates, the number of welding spots. Buckling coefficient of the simple plate was compared with that of two plates with various conditions to extract the effect of buckling strength. The effect of the number of welding spots are studied in two directions, longitudinal and transverse directions. The concluded that the reinforcement effect was maximized when the aspect ratio was close to 1.5 and that the effect of number of welding spots in longitudinal direction was larger than that in transverse direction.

  • This paper addresses the effect of transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia on the natural frequency of beams under axial loads. It has been reported in the author's paper using a finite element analysis that the Timoshenko effect in a rotating disk deceases and then increases again with increasing rotation speed. To validate the phenomenon, the simply-supported beams under uniform tension are selected in this study since they have exact solutions in vibration problem. The results show that the axial tension in beams would not make the Timoshenko effect decrease monotonically but could make the effect increase again unlike the results reported in the other studies for beams.
