음향방출 센서 응용을 위한 결합진동 모드 압전소자의 공진 변위 궤적 (Trajectory of Resonant Displacement of Coupled Vibration Mode Piezoelectric Devices for AE Sensor Application)

  • In this study, coupled mode piezoelectric devices for AE sensor application with excellent displacement and piezoelectric characteristics were simulated using ATILA FEM program, and then fabricated. Displacements and electromechanical coupling factors of the piezoelectric devices were investigated. The simulation results showed that excellent displacement and electromechanical coupling factor were obtained when the ratio of diameter/thickness was 1.0. The piezoelectric device of ${\Phi}/T$= 1.0 exhibited the optimum values of fr= 406 kHz, displacement= $6.11{\times}10^{-8}[m]$, $k_{eff}$= 0.648. The results show that the coupled vibration mode piezoelectric device is a promising candidate for the application of AE sensor piezoelectric device.

Finite Element Study on the Micro-cavity Effect in OLED Devices

  • In this paper, we discuss on the optimal design scheme of the bilayer OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) with micro-cavity structure. We carried out the optical simulation on the OLED device and calculated optimal scale of devices with taking the micro-cavity effect into account. Our emission model is based upon an ensemble of radiating dipole antennas. Consequently, we applied Maxwell's equation to this sequence, followed by the analysis on the electrical behaviors of OLED device using Poisson's equation. It contains carrier injection and transportation mechanism. In this process, we found out the thickness of each layer can affect the recombination rate at the emission layer. Therefore, we optimized the thickness of each layer to improve the efficiency of the device.

  • Metro Subway System is widely known as the leader of public transportation in a metropolitan area. The signal interlocking is one of the most important organs that plays a major role in the system. By improving the quality of signal lights on the traffic system and keeping its maintenance on a high level will not only repair the current state, but it will also let the LED type signal semi-permanent. The device, which underwent a process of fine manufacture establishment and a close examination, obtained a patented article (2004, as a new device). Utilizing the equipment with cautious preservation on the system will enhance the current state of the signal device. Especially, the test for improvement and development based upon the technique that decreases the frequency of defect produced will further precipitate its efficiency. With authorization of imposing the LED lights on production, installment, and investigation of the system, the newly made equipment will bring improvement to the signal technology and to the industry at largest extent.

  • The oil crises in 1973 and 1978 stimulated the alternative fuel research activities in many countries around the world. Among the alternative fuels, methanol is one of the highest potential fuels for transportation. Methanol has been considered for use as automotive fuel, but it has a defect of the great latent vaporization heat. Therefore, authors have made the fuel vaporizing device in order to eliminate the fuel film flow heating the mixture. This paper presents a study on the characteristics of vaporization, engine performance, and emission which result from using the fuel vaporizing device.

  • At the present day, the use of containers crisscrossing seven seas and intercontinental transport has significantly increased and bringing the change on the shape of the world economy which we cannot be neglected. Additionally, with the recent technological advances in wireless sensor network (WSN) technologies, has providing an economically feasible monitoring solution to diverse application that allow us to envision the intelligent containers represent the next evolutionary development step in order to increase the efficiency, productivity, utilities, security and safe of containerized cargo shipping. This paper we present a comprehensive containerized cargo monitoring system which has adaptively embedded WSN technology into cargo logistic technology. We share the basic requirement for an autonomous logistic network that could provide optimum performance and a suite of algorithms for self-organization and bi-directional communication of a scalable large number of sensor node apply on container regardless inland and maritime transportation.

Reduction of Particulate Matters Levels in Railway Cabins in Korea

  • Objectives: High concentrations of airborne particulate matters (PM) can affect the health of passengers using public transportation. The objectives of this research were to develop a PM control system for a railway cabin and to evaluate the performance of the device under conditions of an actual journey. Methods: This study measured the concentrations of $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$ simultaneously in a reference cabin and a cabin with the PM control device. Results: The average $PM_{10}$ concentration in the reference cabin was 100 ${\mu}g/m^3$, and the $PM_{10}$ concentration in the cabin with the control device was 79 ${\mu}g/m^3$. While the overall control efficiency of the control device was 15.4%, reduction was more effective for peak $PM_{10}$ concentration. However, $PM_{2.5}$ levels did not differ greatly between the reference cabin and the cabin with the control device. The ratio of $PM_{2.5}$ to $PM_{10}$ was 0.37. $PM_{10}$ concentrations in cabins were not associated with ambient concentrations, indicating that the main sources of $PM_{10}$ were present in cabins. Additionally, average $CO_2$ concentration in the cabins was 1,359 ppm, less than the maximum of 2,000 ppm set out by the Korean Ministry of Environment's guideline. The $CO_2$ concentration in cabins was significantly associated with the number of passengers: the in-cabin concentration = $23.4{\times}N+460.2$, where N is the number of passengers. Conclusions: Application of the PM control device can improve $PM_{10}$ concentration, especially at peak levels but not $PM_{2.5}$ concentration.

건축물에 설치된 태양광발전설비를 위한 세척장치의 편익-비용 분석 (An Benefit-cost Analysis of the Cleaning Device for Photovoltaic Power Generation Systems in Buildings)

  • 본 연구에서는 개발 중인 초음파 기술을 적용한 태양광발전설비 세척 장치의 경제성 분석을 위하여 AHP 편익-비용을 분석하였다. 초음파 기술을 적용한 태양광발전설비 세척장치와 유사한 특성을 가지며, 국내에서 널리 사용되고 있는 태양광발전설비 세척 장치를 비교 대상으로 선정하여 상대적인 편익-비용 분석 값을 비교하였다. 두 비교 대상의 편익, 비용을 정량적, 정성적으로 분석하기 위하여 각각의 측면의 상위계층과 하위평가항목을 도출하고, 하위 평가항목에 대한 평가기준을 도출하였다. 도출된 평가기준을 기반으로 15인의 전문가 인터뷰를 수행함으로써 두 비교 대상의 편익, 비용 가중치를 계산하였다. 분석 결과, 초음파를 사용한 태양광발전설비의 편익-비용 분석 값은 1이상으로 비용대비 이익이 더 높을 것으로 예상되었고, 비교 대상의 편익-비용 분석 값보다 약 1.6배 높았다. 이는 경제적인 측면에서 초음파를 적용한 태양광발전설비 세척 장치의 개발 가치가 있다는 것은 의미한다.

스마트카드를 이용한 모바일 교통결재 시스템 개발 (Development a Mobile Transportation Payment System of Used Smartcard)

  • 오늘날 발달된 무선 네트워크 통신의 기술로 인해 많은 데이터를 빠르게 전송할 수가 있으며, 또한 더 좋은 단말기의 등장으로 멀티미디어 정보를 보여줄 수 있기 때문에 다양한 무선 인터넷 서비스가 가능하게 되었다. 따라서 SKT나 LGT와 같은 통신업체는 2.5세대 무선 기술과 스마트카드를 이용하여 온라인 쇼핑, 모바일뱅킹 등 많은 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 핸드폰을 대부분 사람들이 소유하고 있기 때문에 교통 시스템에 유용한 지불시스템으로 사용할 수 있는데, 모바일 지불 시스템이 무선 온라인 서비스로 이미 개발되어져 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 교통 지불 시스템이 소개되고 있다. 운전자는 고속도로를 이용할 때 통행료를 지불해야한다. 최근에 하이패스 시스템이 개발되어 자동차는 요금을 지불하기 위해 정지하지 않고 톨게이트를 지나가면서 자동적으로 지불이 가능하다. 이러한 지불은 장착된 지불 시스템으로 인해 가능하다. 우리는 좀 더 발전된 형태로 스마트카드를 장착한 핸드폰을 지불 기기로 사용할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 개인과 금전 정보는 스마트카드에 저장되고 단말기와 OBU와의 통신은 불루투스 방식을 사용한다.

  • 지능형교통체계(Intelligent Transportation Systems, ITS)는 첨단 교통체계의 구성요소, 통신, 컴퓨터 및 제어 기술을 활용하여 실시간으로 교통정보를 수집하고 가공하여 교통 이용자에게 제공함으로써 교통체계의 지능성, 안전성과 효율성을 추구하는 것을 말한다. 그러나 지능형교통체계는 도시의 경관과 어울리게 구성하고자 하는 각 도시들의 환경 정책에 따라 시스템의 크기와 모양이 다양하며, 따라서 실시간으로 제공되는 정보나 데이터가 각 시스템마다 다 다르다. 이에 정보 서비스 제공을 위한 디바이스를 제조하는 업체들은 요구가 발생되는 정보 서비스에 따라 매번 다른 메시지 프레임을 갖는 시스템을 제작해야 한다. 이러한 작업은 많은 시간과 인력이 낭비된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 다양한 메시지 프레임을 쉽게 설정하여 디스플레이 장치들을 현지에 직접 방문하지 않고, 테스트하기 위한 메시지 프레임을 자동으로 생성하는 기법을 제안하고 윈도우즈 환경에서 시스템을 개발하였다.

4종류의 구급장비 및 마루(Floor) 위에서 시행한 가슴압박 에너지(kg)측정 실험에 관한 연구 (Chest Compression Energy(kg) Measurement of 4 Types of Rescue Device on the Floor)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of high quality CPR using the 4 types of rescue device equipment and chest compressions energy measurement in pre-hospital settings. So, we used the mode to insert load cell in ALS Skill master Manikin to develop CFMM(Compression Force Measurement Manikin) on main stretcher, CPR board, long spine board, scoop stretcher and floor. And, our research team could know that the main stretcher needed average force of 32.55 (${\pm}1.01$) kg, CPR board of 27.23 (${\pm}1.08$) kg, long spine board of 27.13 (${\pm}1.18$) kg, Scoop Stretcher of 27.38 (${\pm}1.05$) kg and Floor of 27.24 (${\pm}0.93$) kg. CPR board must be necessary in the case of CPR on main stretcher in a moving ambulance. But if the condition of patient's back surface is the removable stretcher and the long spine plate, the patient doesn't have to be spent time to use a CPR board. Furthermore, this research suggests to consider that how to take advantage of the education to students for the equipment to check in real time the energy(kg) requirement of chest compressions.
