  • As companies were concerned with developing green logistics and environment, most logistics concerned functions like packaging, loading, storage, transportation and IT studies are active in study. Even if active in research studies, companies still recognized that logistics cost increases as green concepts are applied. For the efficient execution of green logistics management, it is absolutely necessary but difficult to build an optimal logistics system where each function is smoothly interacted through the proper integration and the link of various logistics functions and partners. This study aims to development of green logistics through integration of supply chain functions and partners. With this aim of study, case studies with analysis of embodiment, planning and operations for supply chain of companies are carried out.

  • In this regard, the newly focused logistics information system makes reducing the expenses of whole logistic available by cutting down the expenses of materials, transportation and stock and also, it allows the company to cut down the procurement expense through the reduced lead-time and rationalize producing plans by eliminating the uncertain orders and fluctuation in procurement. It further more optimizes the efficiency of over all productions by meeting the dead line for delivery to the customers. In the recent environment of globalization where fierce competitions exist between manufacturers, logistics plays important role in the strategies of companies, and managements of companies try their best efforts in establishing the strategy to accomplish the innovative relationship between supply chain channels. Therefore, in this study, we try to suggest the model of consolidated logistics system that is integrated logistics information system with suggesting the better way of logistics and comparative analysis with logistics system to resolve the difficulties numbers of companies face after realizing what logistics information system is in Korea.

  • It has been recognized as an important issue to design optimally a firm's logistics network for minimizing logistics cost and maximizing customer service. It is, however, not easy to get an optimal solution by analyzing trade-off of cost factors, dynamic and interdependent characteristics in the logistics network decision making. Although there has been some developments in a system which helps decision making for logistics analysis, it is true that there is no system for enterprise-wise's on-site support and methodical logistics decision. Specially, E-biz process along with information technology has been made dramatic advance in a various industries, there has been much need for practical education closely resembles on-site work. The software developed by this study materializes efficient algorithm suggested by recent studies in key topics of logistics such as location and allocation problem, traveling salesman problem, and vehicle routing problem and transportation and distribution problem. It also supports executing a variety of experimental design and analysis in a way of the most user friendly based on Java. In the near future, we expect that it can be extended to integrated supply chain solution by adding decision making in production in addition to a decision in logistics.

  • Due to COVID-19, people are building new lifestyles such as online shopping, online travel, and video conferencing by limiting going out and gatherings. Such rapid social change is causing new problems and deepening existing problems at the same time. In particular, as online consumption increases significantly, traffic congestion, air pollution, and the heavy workload of delivery drivers are deepening in the daily logistics industry, and face-to-face delivery is emerging as a new problem. With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, unmanned delivery using drones, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving is emerging as an alternative to the existing logistics industry. However, space for logistics facilities and securing additional logistics sites due to drone flight are emerging as new problems to be solved. Therefore, it is intended to link additional services such as logistics movement, storage, and delivery by utilizing the existing transportation business, the subway, as a space for a logistics facility for drones that can solve existing problems and new problems.

  • The expense Our country's land logistics system is becoming backlog day by day. The greenhouse gas which it discharges specially from the vehicle causes a ecocide and traffic expense to make. The traffic energy curtailment which the government enforces during that time and environment-friendly green goods policy lost the effect. Therefore, This research propose the car-ferri network which is the most effective logistics system substitutes the land logistics system. This research will contribute improving the north and south logistics network of Pusan and Seoul region and will be able to reduce a various goods expense.

  • Digital Transformation in the maritime transportation sector means "by utilizing digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, block chain, and cloud to create new business models, products, and services for maritime transportation-related companies. It can be defined as a continuous process that adapts to or drives disruptive changes in the market" (Chang, 2021). In a situation where various digital conversion technologies are applied and started to be used in the domestic port logistics field, active acceptance by members can bring about the success of digital conversion. Therefore, in this study, in order to investigate the acceptability of digital transformation in the domestic port logistics sector,

  • Due to the active use of the internet currently, the transportation volume of logistics firms is dramatically increasing, but it is not easy to secure available vehicles and vehicle suppliers, so it is the most important for logistics companies to streamline transportations management and process. For such reason, there have been a number of studies to deal with VRP and VSP for efficient vehicle allocation planning of vehicle suppliers and vehicles. But it is hard to reflect traffic situations changing everyday and detailed geographic conditions, and it requires big scale of database and huge calculation time consumption as increase number of depots, which is very inefficient. For solving the vehicle allocation planning problems of 3PL firms with various constraints due to the transportation cost, this paper suggest new vehicle allocation information system and an algorithm based transportation cost/income. Also this paper presents actual results applied to a logistics company. As a result, the transportation profit of vehicle suppliers increased by 11 percent in average, when the developed transportation cost-based vehicle allocation system applied.

  • The third-party logistics industry mainly delivers goods from a place to an arrival place on behalf of the freight owner. To handle the work, they need a transportation route including transportation equipment between the starting place and the arrival place, schedule information for departure/arrival and transportation cost. Actually, automatic searching for an optimal transportation route, which considers arrival and departure points for intermodal transportation, is not a simple problem. To search efficiently transportation route, the collection of schedule information for intermodal transportation and transportation route generation have become critical and vital issues for logistics companies. Usually, they manually make a plan for a transportation route by their experience. Because of this, they are limited in their ability if there is too much cargo volume and a great many transactions. Furthermore, their dependence on the conventional way in doing business causes an inefficient selection of transporters or transportation routes. Also, it fails to provide diverse alternatives for transportation routes to the customers, and as a result, increases logistics costs. In an effort to solve these problems, this study aims to develop a route planning system based on agent, which can collect scattered schedule information on the Web. The route planning system also has an algorithm for transportation route generation in intermodal transportation.

  • Trade between Korea and China was 372million dollars accounting for 1.56% of total in 1988 and has been increased to 23,689 million dollars occupying 7% in 1997, which implies 32.2% increase on average per year. This trend will continue dramatically and consistently as China's open policy toward the world accelerates and korean companies advance into chinese market. The main trade routes are with marine transportation between korean west sea area and chinese San-Dong peninsula around east sea. However, due to the increasing traffic congestion on main roads connecting harbors and main consumer cities and capacity problem in west sea harbor areas, the logistics cost have been increased resulting in losing competitiveness of freight trade. Therefore, these road-oriented inland transportation means need to be changed to rail transport system to reduce congestion and to conserve natural environment. To achieve this scheme, efficient intermodal transportation system connecting road and rail should be constructed. These combined system will ensure timely delivery of goods and consequently the customers would make proper transportation schedule for the import/export goods in advance. Especially, combined transportation of Railroad and train ferry would cope with the logistics problem and this system would be efficient means for trade with not only China but further with many adjacent countries in central asia such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
