80 MPa급 고강도 콘크리트를 활용한 2거더교 RC 장지간 바닥판의 최소두께 (Minimum Thickness of Long-Span RC Deck Slabs for 2-girder Bridges Designed by 80 MPa Concrete)

  • To ensure durability and light weight of bridges, high-strength concrete is required for long-span deck slabs. Such a technology eventually extends the life of bridges and improves the economic efficiency. The results of this study suggests a formula for calculating the minimum thickness of long-span deck slabs built with high strength concrete. The minimum thickness is proposed based on the limit states indicated in the CEB-FIP Model Code and the Korean Highway Bridge Design Code(limit state design). The design compressive strength of concrete used for the study is 80MPa. Moreover, the required thickness for satisfying the flexural capacity and limiting deflection is estimated considering the limit state load combination. The formula for minimum thickness of deck slabs is proposed considering the ultimate limit state(ULS) and the serviceability limit state(SLS) of bridges, and by comparing the Korean Highway Bridge Design Code and similar previous studies. According to the research finding, the minimum thickness of long-span deck slab is more influenced by deflection limit than flexural capacity.

  • With the historical opening of the express rail, Korea has joined the league of France, Japan, Germany and Spain and entered into the super high-speed train era. Opening of the express rail will not only bring about enormous changes to the lives of Koreans, but it will also have a huge influence on the economic, social and cultural aspects of the country. With construction of the Seoul - Busan KTX line, railway passenger transportation capacity and freight transportation capacity will increase. Fast, safe, convenient and environmentally friendly, the express rail is a product of the latest technology and will secure its position as the newest and most preferred method of transportation for the next generation. As the traffic noise, train noise from KTX will become a social problems with the acceleration of speed and increase in the lines. In order to predict the train noise propagation from KTX, this paper presents the sound source system, the calculation model and the scale model experiment. Noise level unit patterns of a KTX that take the rolling noise, the motor noise and aerodynamic noise into consideration are simulated by the scale model experiment and numerical analysis.

  • When the liquid with the additive of ppm unit of a polymer flows, the pressure drop can be manifestly decreased compared to that of pure liquid: that's the drag reduction. This method is that a small amount of a polymer which doesn't make the transformation of the properties of the working fluid is dissolved into the working fluid, the links of chains of the polymer do a buffer action to the molecules of the working fluid which come out between near the wall of the pipe and the interface, so that the pressure drop is dramatically decreased. When we transport the fluid, therefore, we can save a lot of pumping power, or we can increase the transportation capacity with using the same transportation equipment. But when a polymer solution is also flowing in the fluid transportation system, the degradation which have a very close relation with the phenomena of the drag reduction occurs necessarily. When adding polymer to reduce the drag in two phase flow system, It is impossible to find some studies. This study is focussing on a searching examination for the experimental study considering the mechanical degradation in the closed tow phase system to find out the conditions which could improve the pump capacity.

비지 첨가에 따른 국수의 제면 특성 변화 (Changes in the Characteristics of Noodle by the Addition of Biji Powder)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the characteristics of noodle dough made with biji powder (2, 4, 6 and 8%). Increase in the amount of biji powder significantly increases the water-binding capacity and decreases lightness (L) (p<0.05). The changes of redness (a), yellowness (b) and size of pore were insignificant. In the case of raw noodle, hardness, springiness, gumminess and chewiness of raw noodle significantly increased with increasing concentrations of the biji powder (p<0.05). Hardness of cooked noodle increased according with increase in concentration of biji (p<0.05). Springiness was increased up to 4% of biji concentration and slightly decreased at higher concentrations (p<0.05). Adhesiveness and cohesiveness of cooked noodle decreased according with increase in concentration of biji (p<0.05). The was no significant changes in the gumminess and chewiness. Taken together, addition of 4.0% biji powder to noodle dough may improve the preference of noodles.

  • Hydrogen utilization in the transportation sector, which relies on fossil fuels, can significantly reduce greenhouse gas by using to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and its adoption depends performance of hydrogen refueling station. The present study developed a model to simulate the back-to-back filling process of heavy duty hydrogen fuel cell vehicles at hydrogen refueling stations using a cascade method. And its quantitatively evaluated hydrogen refueling station performance by simulating various mass flow rates and storage tank capacity combinations, analyzing vehicle state of charge (SOC) of vehicles. In the cascade refueling system, the capacity of the high-pressure storage tank was found to have the greatest impact on the reduction of filling time and improvement of efficiency.

  • Drivers select approach lane according to various traffic situations as well as their destination. This behavior affects the utilization of lanes and capacity analysis at urban signalized intersections. This paper presents the concept, behavior of lane utilization, and the lane utilization factors which included in the study. Preparation of Korean Highway Capacity Manual (1992). Lane utilization is affected by various traffic and geometric factors which are roadway side friction, median friction, and number of lanes, etc. and it converges to an equal utilization as the degree of saturation (V/C ratio) increase. Lane utilization factor is suggested by the degree of saturation and the number of lanes, and it is presented in this paper.

차량용량을 고려한 대중교통 통행배정모형구축에 관한 연구 (A User Equilibrium Transit Assignment Model with Vehicle Capacity Constraint)

  • The purpose of the thesis is providing a new formulation for the transit assignment problem. The existing models dealing with the transit assignment problem don't consider the congestion effects due to the insufficient capacity of transit vehicles. Besides, these models don't provide solutions satisfying the Wardrop's user equilibrium conditions. The congestion effects are considered to be concentrated at the transit stops. For the transit lines, the waiting times at the transit stops are dependent on the passenger flows. The new model suggests the route section cost function analogous to the link performance function of the auto assignment to reflect the congestion effects in congested transit network. With the asymmetric cost function, the variational inequality programming is used to obtain the solutions satisfying Wardrop's condition. The diagonalization algorithm is introduced to solve this model. Finally, the results are compared with those of EMME/2.

고속탈출유도로 최소 갯수 및 위치 결정 모형 (A Model for Determining the Minimum Number of High Speed Exits and Their Locations for Airports)

  • Proposed are model and its solution algorithm for determining the minimum number of high speed exits and their locations. While the previous researches on exit location aimed to minimize the average runway occuancy time (ROT) of an aircraft mix, the proposed approach is to find the minimum number of exits required to meet maximum allowable ROT. The rationale behind the approach is that the capacity of a runway increases as the ROT decreases down to some value, but not any more even though the ROT keep decreasing below the value. Hence, a maximum allowable ROT might be set up without declining the capacity. The problem is transformed into a shortest path problem on a specially constructed network and Dijkstra's labeling algorithms is employed to solve the problem A hypothetical example is provided to illustrate how the algorithms solves the problem.

생애주기비용을 고려한 PSC-I형 교량의 최적설계 (Optimal Design of PSC-I Girder Bridge Considering Life Cycle Cost)

  • This paper presents the procedure for the optimal design of a PSC-I girder bridge considering life cycle cost (LCC). The load carrying capacity curves for the concrete deck, PSC-I girder and $\pi$-type pier were derived and used for the estimate of service lives. Total life cycle cost for the service life was calculated as sum of initial cost, damage cost, maintenance cost, repair and rehabilitation cost, user cost, and disposal cost. The advanced First Order Second Moment method was used to estimate the damage cost. The optimization method was applied to the design of PSC-I girder bridge. The objective function was set to the annual cost, which is defined by dividing the total life cycle cost by the service life, and constraints were formulated on the basis of Korean Standards. The optimal design was performed for various service lives and the effects of design factors were investigated.

도시철도에서의 적정 역간거리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Proper Station Spacing in Urban Railway)

  • Railway stations are important facilities for transport of passengers and freights. The location of station have an effect on the efficiency of railway transport and operation. In this study, an inspection of the primary factors for station spacing in urban railway has been performed and a review for the propriety of the present states and further improvement has been carried. It may be helpful for proper decisions on the route planning in urban railway. Primary factors for station spacing are 1)train capacity, 2)competitiveness with other transportation, 3)accessibility and 4)construction cost, which is out of consideration in the inspection. From the result of this study, the proper station spacing is about 600m for the accessibility, more over 1.03km for the train capacity and more over 1.4km for the competitiveness with other transportation.
