Great impetus has come from the renewed emphasis on improving public transport in many countries. In Korea, built over 12 years at a cost of ${\$}12$ billion and modeled on the TGV of France, the Korea Train Express will open for regular traffic on April, 2004. The schematic design of terminal building for Kwang-Myeong station was chosen by the international competition in 1997. Mooyoung Architects and Engineers joined with AREP, French Architect awarded.

Magnetic levitation railway is being developed as an advanced ground transport system which is high speed and has less environmental pollution. In this paper, the effectiveness of the proposed controller is proved by a vehicle body's curvature running characteristics. We select two types of transition curves for investigation, namely clothoid and sine.

DMB is a next-generation multimedia broadcasting system that not only enables digital broadcasting services such as transmission of CD-duality audio, traffic information, and real-time stock information, but also allows reception of high-quality digital TV in high-speed driving conditions. In the DMB system, MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream) multiplex method and MPEG-4 System SL(Sync Layer) have been selected as the delivery layer. In this paper, an efficient interface scheme between an MPEG-2 TS processing hardware and software-implemented MPEG-4 system within a DMB terminal device is proposed.

Carbide-tipped twist drill of new type which is better than traditional H.S.S twist drill has been developed successfully to drill steel work-pieces with high speed. This new carbide drill consists of a characteristic flature of special shape of cutting edge, chip pocket, and flute. The special design of the chip pocket and the flute guarantees both periodic fracture and smooth transport of chips along the flute. The carbide-tipped twist drill also allows one to apply more drilling force than conventional one and produce holes with high accuracy.

Applications of superconducting technology in transportation is more straightforward than others, such as magnetic levitation (maglev) trains. A maglev train is of high speed & low power-consumption, environmental friendly and safe, accompanied by some drawbacks. This article will introduce the application of superconducting technology in the urban mass transport system, and the bottleneck of this application.

Importance of railway safety has drawn much attention with the growth of its contribution to the modernized society as a massive transport, high speed transportation system.
