400km/h급 전차선로 시스템의 시범적용 구간선정 연구 (The Feasibility Study of the Scenario of 400kph Maximum Speed Test in HEMU (High-speed Electric Multiple Unit) System)

  • Since the "Low Carbon, Green Growth" as a social requirements is attracted public attention, the policies and investments of the railway which have been less estimated than road is re-considered. Since the starting the commercial service (2004. April), the KTX have been operated successfully while transport passengers over 100million for years. And also the project for development of KHST (Korea High Speed Train ; G7) had been accomplished with a good result, the first trainset of KTX-II which base on G7 project was manufactured and testing now. On the other hand, the world's technology of the high speed train is more faster, and changing to a distributed traction system. To catch up the world's leading technology, the HEMU(High-speed Electric Multiple Unit) project will secure new technology and aims to promote the technology of domestic high-speed train. The authors indicates the result of detail review such as a curve, slope of the track and electrical dead section of the catenary to test at 400kph and also the performance simulation of the developed rolling stock in this paper. As the result, the authors devise the test scenario to perform a maximum speed test (stability at max. speed, acceleration & deceleration etc) with the restricted conditions such as track length, track available time etc by considering above result.

  • Studies suggested an increase in the competitiveness and roles of mainline railways like speed and accessibility improvement, as a fundamental direction of the National Transport Network Plan. At this point, topics presented especially for strengthening the role of human and environment centered transportation: as to the greatly improved speed competitiveness, there are an operational speed above 180km/h ~ 200km/h and traveling within 2 ~ 3 hours among big cities. As to accessibility improvement, there are accessibility to main railway stations within 30 minutes, and the improvement of accessibility, safety, eco-friendliness, amenity etc. As a part of these suggestions, field specific plans were proposed for the establishment of expressed mainline railway network in Korea such as train's, civil structures, trolley lines etc. In this paper we analyzed the conventional lines and systems to figure out whether to change details in terms of H/W of signaling system. Additionally, we reviewed the compatibility or difference of signalling system depending on train's speed. With this result, we deduced the number of virtual blocks specific to the speed of 180km/h, 200km/h and 230km/h, which were showed for the speed improvement considering each variable like blocks, braking distance etc. In this way, we suggested the railway signal system establishment plan considering safety operation.

  • A new block system - MAS (Moving Autoblock System) whose efficiency is higher than FAS(Fixed Autoblock System) in the loading capacity is required to accomodate the increasing transport volume. That MAS has higher efficiency has already been verified through various studies, especially in a line with different types of travelling trains. The efficiency of MAS for Korean high speed line with two different train model is analyzed by computer simulation. The results show that MAS is more efficient than FAS in the loading capacity.

무인단속시스템 설치효과 분석에 관한 연구 (Study on the Analysis for the Effects of the Automated Speed Enforcement System Application)

  • 1997년 우리나라에서 무인과속단속시스템 32대가 처음 도입된 이래 2008년 1월 현재 약 3,700기가 설치되어 운영 중에 있으며, 이는 운전자의 운전행태 및 교통특성 변화를 유도함으로서 교통안전을 개선시켜 결과적으로 교통사고건수 및 사망자 수를 크게 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 현재의 설치효과 평가방법은 설치전후 각 1년간 단순 비교하는 방법으로, 설치 바로 전년도의 교통사고건수가 다른 요소에 의해 최근 몇 년간 발생건수에 의해 급격히 증가(감소)하였을 경우 시스템 설치 후 감소(증가)되었어도 명확히 시스템 설치 효과라고 단정 짓기 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 시스템 설치전후 4단계 분석기법을 근간으로 하여 과속단속시스템의 설치효과에 대하여 새롭게 평가하였다. 그 결과 2006년도에 설치한 205대의 과속단속시스템 설치효과는 기존의 분석방법에서 제시한 18%의 교통사고건수 감소효과가 아니라 시스템 설치효과에 의해 $27.4{\pm}3%$, 도로개선 등 기타 요인으로 인한 오차범위가 ${\pm}12.89%$인 것으로 나타났다.

고속도로 졸음쉼터 진·출입 차량 주행속도 분석 및 적정 가·감속차로 길이 산정 연구 (Estimating Acceleration and Deceleration Lane Lengths by Analyzing Vehicle Speed Variation of Rest Areas for Drowsy Drivers)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 졸음쉼터의 진 출입 차량 주행속도 조사를 통해 졸음쉼터 가 감속차로 길이, 설치위치의 종단경사 및 곡선반경이 주행차량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 또한, 졸음쉼터 적정 가 감속차로 길이 산정을 위해, VISSM을 활용하여 진출입부 길이 별 시나리오를 구축하고, 가 감속차로를 이용하는 차량의 개별차량 주행궤적 자료를 추출하여 차량의 감속 및 가속도의 표준 편차를 산출하였다. 주행속도 조사 결과 졸음쉼터 설치위치의 곡선반경 및 종단경사에 따른 속도차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 무엇보다 가 감속차로 길이에 따른 차량 간의 속도차이가 크게 나타났다. 특히 가 감속차로 길이가 짧게 설치된 졸음쉼터의 경우 차량 간의 속도차이가 큰 것으로 조사되었으며 차량이 졸음쉼터 진입 시 충분히 감속을 하지 못하고 진입하거나 졸음쉼터 이용 후 본선 진입 시 충분히 가속을 하지 못한 채로 본선에 진입하는 것으로 조사되어 위험성이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 가 감속차로 길이에 따른 시뮬레이션 분석결과 진입부의 경우 245m 이상의 감속차로 길이 확보가 필요할 것으로 분석되었으며, 가속차로의 경우 370m 이상으로 설치하였을 때 안전한 진출이 가능한 것으로 분석되었다.

Optimization of a composite beam for high-speed railroads

  • The paper describes an optimization method based on the mathematical model of interaction within multibody 'bridge-track-cars" dynamic system. The interaction is connected with considerable dynamic phenomena influenced by high traffic speed (up to 400 km/h) on high-speed railroads. The trend analysis of a structure is necessary to determine the direction and resource of optimizing the system. Thus, scientific methods of decision-making process are necessary. The process requires a great amount of information analysis dealing with behavior and changes of the "bridge-track-cars system" that consists of mechanisms and structures, including transitions. The paper shows the algorithm of multi-criteria optimization that can essentially reduce weight of a bridge superstructure using big data analysis. This reduction is carried out in accordance with the constraints that have to be satisfied in any case. Optimization of real steel-concrete beam is exemplified. It demonstrates possibility of measures that are offered by the algorithm.

철도교통용 고속 트랜스폰더시스템 실차 시험 (Field Test of High-Speed Transponder System for Rail Transport)

  • In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. When the transponder tag receives the energizing signal from the train, it sends a telegram to the reader, which includes location information. In high-speed railway environment, this telegram can be corrupted by electromagnetic interference caused by onboard electric train power equipments or wayside devices. In order to assess the performance of transponder system under this harsh environment, we carried out field test using HEMU-430X. Field test results are briefly introduced and discussed for the evaluation of the transponder system under development.

차량 주행 시 타이어와 도로의 경계면에서 발생하는 조대입자, 미세입자 및 초미세입자의 특성 연구 (Characterization of Coarse, Fine, and Ultrafine Particles Generated from the Interaction between the Tire and the Road Pavement)

  • The non-exhaust coarse, fine, and ultrafine particles were characterized by on-road driving measurements using a mobile sampling system. The on-road driving measurements under constant speed driving revealed that mass concentrations of roadway particles (RWPs) were distributed mainly in a size range of 2~3 ${\mu}m$ and slightly increased with increasing vehicle speed. Under braking conditions, the mode diameters of the particles were generally similar with those obtained under constant speed conditions. However, the PM concentrations emitted during braking condition were significantly higher than those produced under normal driving conditions. Higher number concentrations of ultrafine particles smaller than 70 nm were observed during braking conditions, and the number concentration of particles sampled 90 mm above the pavement was 6 times higher than that obtained 40 mm above the pavement. Under cornering conditions, the number concentrations of RWPs sampled 40 mm above the pavement surface were higher than those sampled 90 mm above the pavement. This might be explained that a nucleation burst of a lot of vapor evaporated from the interaction between the tire and the road pavement under braking conditions continuously occurred by cooling during the transport to the sampling height 90 mm, while, for the case of cornering situations, the ultrafine particle formation was completed before the transport to the sampling height of 40 mm.

GPS를 활용한 교통 시뮬레이션 모형 검증 (A Traffic Simulation Model Verification Method Using GPS Equipment)

  • 교통 시뮬레이션 모형은 실제 교통 네트워크를 모형으로 구현하여 여러 가지 교통정책을 평가하는 데에 사용된다. 이때 모형이 실제의 교통현상을 잘 반영했는지 여부를 판단하는 모형 검증 절차는 가장 중요한 절차 중 하나이며 모형 검증에는 실측 교통량과 속도 등이 주로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 노스캐롤라이나 랄리에 있는 I-40 고속도로 상에서 일어나는 심각한 오후 첨두 병목현상을 DYNASMART-P라는 메조스코픽 교통 시뮬레이션 모형으로 구현한 결과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구 대상 축의 경우 노스캐롤라이나 교통국(NCDOT)의 교통정보센타에서 속도검지기를 설치하여 온라인으로 속도를 수집하고 있다. 그러나 검지기 측정 자료는 지점속도이고 시뮬레이션 모형의 결과값은 링크 평균속도이므로 모형 검증에 사용하기에는 적합하지 않다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 GPS 장비를 활용하여 통행시간을 측정하여 모형에서의 통행시간과 비교함으로써 시뮬레이션 모형의 결과를 검증하였다. 이 논문에서는 데이터 수집, 모형검증 절차 및 결과를 서술하였다.
