Gastroesophageal reflux is thought to be an important etiology of the various upper aerodigestive tract disease. To investigate the role of gastric acid and pepsin as an etiologic factor of laryngotracheal stenosis, and the difference of injury by synthetic gastric juice between in ciliated respiratory epithelium and in squamous epithelium, experimental study was carried out using rabbits. Mucociliary transport affected by synthetic gastric juice was also studied in dogs. Synthetic gastric juice of low pH caused serious damage and Impairment of mucociliary transport in the epithelium of the larynx and trachea. Gastric acid played major role in the mucosal damage. Squamous epithelium of vocal folds and pharynx was more resistant to synthetic gastric juice than respiratory epitheium. In conclusion, gastroesophageal reflux may be an etiologic factor in the developement of laryngotracheal stenosis, so the adequate management is necessory In patients of laryngotracheal stenosis.

The pervasive game environments have activated explosive growth of the Internet over recent decades. Thus, understanding Internet traffic characteristics and precise classification have become important issues in network management, resource provisioning, and game application development. Naturally, much attention has been given to analyzing and modeling game traffic. Little research, however, has been undertaken on the classification of game traffic. In this paper, we perform an interpretive traffic analysis of popular game applications at the transport layer and propose a new classification method based on a simple decision tree, called an alternative decision tree (ADT), which utilizes the statistical traffic characteristics of game applications. Experimental results show that ADT precisely classifies game traffic from other application traffic types with limited traffic features and a small number of packets, while maintaining low complexity by utilizing a simple decision tree.

Binary CDMA네트워크에서는 네트워크 각 엔터티들의 네트워크 자원을 마스터 스테이션이 관리하므로 마스터 스테이션의 관리 범위한계를 경계로 하는 Pico-net내에서만 통신이 이루어질 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 제한을 극복하여 보다 광역적인 네트워크에 Binary CDMA를 응용할 수 있는 방안으로서 네트워크를 Cell단위로 분할하여 다중의 Pico-net들로 구분하고 각 Pico-Cell에 고유의 네트워크 주소체계를 만들어 Pico-Cell간에 데이터를 중계하는 기능을 가지는 Binary CDMA 라우터 장치의 고안방법에 대하여 제시하였다.

Nowadays, container transport services play a substantial role in global cargo transportation by serving as an intermodal between the exporter and importer. Container shipping has become increasingly important over the past few decades due to its obvious advantages. However, Vietnam's container market has shown severely ongoing competition among numerous domestic and foreign shipping lines resulting in serious consequences occurring such as the freight rates substantially decreasing within the last ten years. In fact, Vietnam's sea lanes have become more defensive to cover the losses of shipping companies. Selection of criteria for competitive evaluation of container transport companies is necessary to help recognize the problems within the enterprise especially relating to its position in the market and from here, business management are able to put strategic plans in place and reasonable policy in order to be able to survive and grow.

Safety of railway systems is made by understanding causes and process of railway accidents and grasping contents of a many of accidents. Now, Being carried out a research and analysis about an extensive areas(the whole country, the metropolitan area, the five metropolitan cities, the city of three hundred thousands and over of people) and field, thereafter the National Transportation (Railway) Database has been constructed and developed to prepare the base that reduced an overlapping survey using a standardized-material offer. A purpose of this research is to derive plans to apply National transport DB including information in the field of transportation systems to domestic railway safety management. The research analyses the present conditions of establishing national transport DB, and reviews problems when that use to railway system. As being based in this, the research derived definitions and using plans of layers available to use, and plans of establishing and systematizing information for desirable railway network.

With opening of KTX, Korea Railway have carried out a variety of marketing strategies unprecedented, which have brought successful results for dramatical increasing passengers in KTX from 72 thousand passengers per day in 2004 to 85 thousand passengers per day in 2005. These marketing strategies for Korea Rail to use in increasing passengers for KTX are the following: special discount fare system for non-season to penetrate into transport market in the first time, fare system reform considering to customers' willing to pay, new item development by each specific market like contracting transport, YMS(Yield Management System) by stages, Home-ticket-and-e-ticket and tele-marketing service, and wide range covering sales network making it comfortable for users in KTX. This paper discusses these successful marketing strategies and its performance and finally suggests strategic implications for KTX growth.

In wireless sensor networks, the importance of transporting data correctly with reliability is increasing gradually along with the need to support communications between the nodes and sink. Data flow from the sink to the nodes requires reliability for control or management that is very sensitive and intolerant of error; however, data flow from the nodes to the sink is relatively tolerant. In this paper, with emphasis on the data flow from the sink to the nodes, we propose a mechanism that considers accurate transport with reliability hop-by-hop. During the process of sending the data, if errors occur or data is missing, the proposed mechanism supports error recovery using a fixed window with selective acknowledgment. In addition, this mechanism supports congestion control depending on the buffer condition. Through the simulation, we show that this mechanism is accurate, reliable, and proper for transport in wireless sensor networks.

The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs(MLTM) constructed the IMO Korea homepage to owned jointly IMO information when establishing a international standard in about marine transport and the shipbuilding, in order to speak for the profit of Korea in IMO and it was double renewal since 2004. But the newly re-opened the IMO Korea homepage is also operated to the level which simply keeps IMO documents because of limited H/W sizes. This study investigated and analyzed the domestic and similar foreign homepages to provide effectively about the IMO informations At the result, these homepages were serviced to the meeting resultants using the various contents such as Semantic search, Thesaurus search, establishment of web accessible etc. Therefore, the existing IMO Korea homepage must be re-constructed as IMO Information Portal Site to provide better information.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the disaster response competencies of 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: The subjects of this study were 226 119 EMT's at the fire station located in G province. The questionnaire consisted of 5 sub-factors and 29 items for measuring disaster response competencies and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS program. Results: Disaster response competency comprising immediate response, patient triage, patient treatment, patient transport, and collaboration support were 3.48, 3.64, 3.52, 3.64, and 3.16, respectively. Advanced EMTs scored significantly higher in patient triage (p<.001), treatment (p<.001), and transport (p=.022) competency than basic EMTs. Conclusion: In order to improve disaster response competency, it is necessary not only to enhance individual ability but also to continue disaster management training with related organizations.

Recently, the aviation industry faced a major crisis due to the impact of COVID-19. However, despite the sluggish passenger transportation, the cargo transportation sector is relatively maintained or increasing depending on the item. In this study, we will look at the trends before and after COVID-19, focusing on the cargo export field, which is a concern of the aviation industry. First, it analyzes the entire air cargo and then analyzes the trends of each item and country in detail. In particular, it examines the process of changes in air transport costs, which increased significantly immediately after COVID-19, and conducts future trends and prospects in the cargo export field. As a result of the study, some characteristics of air cargo exports before and after COVID-19 were found in an analysis by item and country, and transportation costs varied according to route distance.
