Analysis of the Relations Between Design Parameters and Performance in the Passive Safety Decay Heat Removal System

  • A computer code PARS2 is developed for the analysis of PSDRS, which is the safety grade RHRS of HAMMER, and applied to the investigation of the relation between design parameters and performance of PSDRS. The concept of the heat transfer resistance network is applied in assessing the importance of the various heat transfer modes. From the analysis results, the qualitative relations between the PSDRS performance and design parameters are found and guidelines for the PSDRS design procedures are also proposed.

  • This study aims to come up with the elements that have influence on the outcomes of technology transfer in a multi-divisional way by making analysis of the interactive relations among technology transfer factor, technology transfer procedure factors, and technology transfer outcome factors through the Structural Equation Model(SEM). And the sample companies are restricted to the ones that have the records of technology transfer to China for the past five years For research model, technology success factor model of Choi and Lee (2000) and technology receptive capability and technology transfer outcome model of Lin, Tan and Chang(2002) were adopted. The research model was divided into an external variable, technology transfer factors and an internal variables, technology transfer procedure factors and technology transfer outcome factors. Research hypothesis was divided into technology transfer factors and technology transfer procedure factors; and technology transfer outcomes. As a result of analysis, cultural difference associated with technology transfer, technological type, corporate capability, and mutual trust have an effect on the outcomes of technology transfer.

  • 본 연구는 이산형 선형 대체함수(discrete linear transfer function)를 이용하여 수문시스템의 입력과 출력으로 나타낼 수 있는 강우와 유출의 관계를 통계학적으로 분석하고 모형화 하는 것이다. 모형의 설정 및 특정(identification), 추정(estimation) 및 검토(diagnostic checking) 과정이 제시되었으며 모형에 대한 적합성은 시계열 분석에서 이용되고 있는 통계량으로 판정하였다.

  • In this paper, we examine the necessity and the role of technology transfer/diffusion in the frame of national technology innovation system. On the base of this, we present a construction plan of technology transfer/diffusion system to make the national electric industry for 21st century to possess the competitive power. To achieve above purpose, we examine the relations between theory of technology transfer/diffusion structure and policy. Furthermore, we try to find the necessity for construction of technology transfer & diffusion system and a driving plan. Then, it is analyzed that expected design requirements for the construction of electric technology transfer & diffusion system. Finally, construction and activation plan for electric technology transfer & diffusion system are presented, which would strengthen the national technology competitiveness.

  • This paper deals with analytical techniques for performance evaluation of small scaled wind power generator with outer permanent magnet rotor. In part (1), using transfer relations theorem, magnetic field distribution characteristics by PM and armature reaction field are derived. Moreover, electrical parameters such as back-EMF, inductance and resistance are calculated from the obtained field characteristic equations. The proposed analytical techniques are validated by nonlinear finite element method using commercial software 'Maxwell' and performance experiments of the manufactured generator. In part (2), generating characteristics analysis such as constant speed characteristics and constant resistive load characteristics, and performance evaluation according to variation of wind speed will be accomplished using the derived electrical parameters.

  • This paper deals with an electromagnetic analysis and control parameter estimation of a moving-coil linear oscillatory actuator (MCLOA). Analytical solutions for electromagnetic characteristics of the MCLOA are obtained from transfer relations derived in terms of a magnetic vector potential and two-dimensional (2-d) rectangular coordinate systems. And then, on the basis of 2-d analytical solutions, control parameters such as the thrust constant, the back-emf constant and winding inductances are estimated. Finally, analytical results for both electromagnetic characteristics and control parameters of the MCLOA are validated extensively by finite element (FE) analyses. In particular, test results such as static thrust, resistance and inductance measurements are given to confirm the analyses.

Comparative study of constitutive relations implemented in RELAP5 and TRACE - Part I: Methodology & wall friction

  • Nuclear thermal-hydraulic system analysis codes have been developed to simulate nuclear reactor systems, which solve simplified governing equations by replacing source terms with constitutive relations for simulating entire reactor systems with low computational resources. For half a century, many efforts have been made for wider versatility and higher accuracy of system codes, but various factors can affect the code analysis results, and it was difficult to isolate these factors and interpret them individually. In this study, two system codes, RELAP5 and TRACE, which have many users and are highly reliable, are selected to analyze only the effects of constitutive relations. The influence of constitutive relations is analyzed using in-house platforms that replicate constitute relations of RELAP5 and TRACE equally to exclude factors that may affect analysis results, such as governing equation solvers and user effects. Among the various constitutive relations, the analysis is performed on the wall variables expected to have the most influence on the analysis results. Part 1 paper presents the methodology and wall friction model comparison, while Part 2 paper shows wall heat transfer comparison of the two selected codes.

  • As a method of obtaining pulse transfer function. transfer function of discrete-time from input-output data, there are method of obtaining unknown parameter of pulse transfer function from estimated impulse response before(1-3). There is no need to approximate to several meanings because of not being established algebraical relations between impulse response for estimation error and parameter of transfer function exactly. In this paper, I inquire the method[4] of obtaining the optimal pulse transfer function as a meaning of Hankel norm approximation from impulse response data and examine estimated property as computer simulation from this method.

충전층내에서의 열전달특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the heat transfer characteristics in packed bed)

  • Heat transfer on packed bed is considered to be important for the effective designs of chemical reaction equipment, air conditioning system, and storage type heat exchanger, etc. Currently studies are being carried out quite actively in this field in order to increase the heat transfer efficiency. The effect of heat transfer is closely relater to materials, shapes, porosities and packing states of packed bed as well as mutual dimensional relations between particles and the container. Investigation shows that heat transfer results appear to be influenced by such parameters as fluid velocity through packed bed, mass flow, and thermal properties. It is noted that viscosity is also considered to be an important factor in this problem. In this study, effective thermal conductivities on packed bed, effects of thermal conductivity (Ke) and friction factor (Fk) according to change of porosity(.epsilon.) and Reynolds number(Reh(, and pressure loss of the fluid, are experimentally investigated. Results show that the effective thermal conductivity increases and the friction factor decreased, as against the increase of Reynolds number. But as the increase of porosity increase them both.
