Energy Harvesting Framework for Mobile Sensor Networks with Remote Energy Stations (원격 에너지 저장소를 가진 이동 센서 네트워크를 위한 에너지 수확 체계)

  • Energy harvesting from environment can make the energy constrained systems such as sensor networks to sustain their lifetimes. However, environmental energy is highly variable with time, location, and other factors. Unlike the existing solutions, we solved this problem by allowing the sensor nodes with mobilizer to move in search of energy and recharge from remote energy station. In this paper we present and analyze a new harvesting aware framework for mobile sensor networks with remote energy station. The framework consists of energy model, motion control system and data transfer protocol. Among them, the objective of our data transfer protocol is to route a data packet geographically towards the target region and at the same time balance the residual energy and the link connectivity on nodes with energy harvesting. Our results along with simulation can be used for further studies and provide certain guideline for realistic development of such systems.

  • In this paper, Web server is built up using PXA255, 32bit RISC processor with porting Embedded Linux and GoAhead HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) web server, and the system which can monitor and control the environment and condition for AICC(Automatic Intelligent Cruise Control) is realized For sensing the operation condition and change of vehicle the desired data is derived by interfacing ECU(Electric Control Unit) and Embedded system and the rpm of engine is controlled by step motor connected to throttle valve.

  • In this paper we have developed a message transfer protocol, CMP, which improves MSP's message processing capability. The proposed method has taken into account document classification to improve the efficiency of message processing. The difference between the conventional MSP and CMP has been addressed. The CMP's performance has been shown by various experiments including number, alphabet, Korean letter, Chinese letter, music sound and compression file transmission. And security capability of both protocols has been compared based on the specification of FIPS 140-2. The CMP's overall performance is shown to be superior to that of MSP on the processing speed in the performance perspective and on the function of cryptographic module interface and cryptographic key management in the security perspective respectively.

  • In this paper, conventional STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode) supports another traffics by using idle channels. Proposed mobile terminals are distributed independently at the BSA(Basic Service Area). So, MAC(Medium Access Control) specified on the wireless ATM networks, which is managing statistics multiplewing functions, idle channel's ultilization is maximized and multimedia service characteristic for conventional wired networks based fixed assignment scheme(connection-oriented) and random assignment scheme(connection-oriented) improving on dynamic reservation based MAC protocol.

  • 슈퍼컴퓨터 사용자들은 FTP(File Transfer Protocol)을 이용해서 대용량의 파일을 전송한다. 전송되는 데이터들은 승용차나 비행기 설계, 의약품 개발. 기상 예보 그리고 복잡한 수학적 계산 등과 같이 다양한 분야에 걸친 연구관련 데이터로서 고성능 슈퍼컴퓨터에 의한 연산 처리가 요구된다 기존의 FTP 는 네트워크 상태에 따라 전송 지연이나 데이터 손실 등의 문제로 사용자의 불편을 초래하였다. 이에 전송 성능을 효율적으로 높이고 데이터 손실을 최소화를 제공하는 연구가 필요하다. 근래의 TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) 성능 향상 연구에 관한 연구들의 관심은 크게 두 가지이다. 하나는 윈도우 사이즈 조절(auto-tuning)이고, 다른 하나는 Multi-stream 이다. 본 연구에서는 파일 전송 성능 향상을 위한 방법으로 윈도우 사이즈 조절 방법을 사용하였고, 네트워크 상태에 따라 QoS(quality of Service)를 제공한다. 이런 성능 향상 결과로 신뢰성 있는 네트워크를 제공하여 사용자들은 신속하게 데이터를 전송하며 연산처리 결과가 더욱 정확하다고 신뢰할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 대용량 파일을 전송 할 때 성능을 향상시키는 관련 연구를 알아보고 대용량 파일 전송 중 네트워크 상태에 따라 005를 능동적으로 작용하여 테스트하고 성능을 분석하였다.

  • Direct cache-to-cache transfer has been studied to reduce the latency and bandwidth consumption related to the shared data in multiprocessor system. Even though these studies lead to meaningful results, they assume that caches consist of SRAM. For example, if the system employs the non-volatile memory, the one of the most important parts to consider is to decrease the number of write operations. This paper proposes a hybrid write avoidance cache coherence protocol that considers the hybrid cache architecture. A new state is added to finely control what is stored in the non-volatile memory area, and experimental results showed that the number of writes was reduced by about 36% compared to the existing schemes.

Design of MPLS-based micro-mobility management protocol with QoS support

  • In order to provide seamless wireless Internet service, the basic mobile IP protocol should be enhanced to solve packet loss problem from large registration latency because frequent handoffs occur in cellular networks. In this paper, we suggest a new micro-mobility management protocol based on MPLS while supporting Qos, and evaluate its performance using simulation. We use MPLS label switching techniuqe in cellular access networks to simplify location management and speed up packet transmission. We adopt context transfer procedure to minimize the delay needed to attain prior level of service after handoff Packet loss can be minimized during handoff by transmitting received packets from old BSLER to new BSLER using a spliced LSP between them. Simulation results show that the proposed MPLS-based micro-mobility management protocol provides a seamless handoff and supports QoS of user traffic.

  • In these days, the big-size and high resolution multimedia file is widely used through networks. To transfer and service effectively, the internet network technology is necessary to substitute broadcasting. Normally Content Delivery Network(CDN) is widely used in conventional internet for multimedia services. But it has a small bandwidth to service. So to solve this problems, many researchers have suggest the protocol for download, content distribution/saving, server synchronization, caching, pushing rate, and streaming etc. But all of these has some defects like low resolution, packets loss and delay, real application implementations etc. So, this paper suggests a new method of network protocol based on P2P collaboration and user's content using information. And it evaluated the performance of suggested method. As the results, it showed the effectiveness of 4 performances indices : download speed, decreasing rate of connected user in same time, adaptive hit ratio, traffic decreasing rate.

  • In this paper, we propose an electronic election protocol based on VIOT protocol which utilizes public key cryptographic system and blind signature method to meet the seccurity requirement in election systems. Our proposed electronic election protocol provide voter's privacy and non-repudiation functionality which detect any misdemeanors of voters or relevant personnels.
