한국형 고속전철의 추진 및 제어 시스템 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study On Design of propulsion and control system for Korean High Speed Train)

  • The study was carried out about the design of the propulsion and the control systems for Korean High Speed Train. The propulsion system was studied to run the maximum operating speed of 350km/h, The capacity of the main equipment is decided for the train to run tile maximum operating speed of 350km/h with the configuration of 2 power cars, 4 motorized trailers and 14 intermediate trailers. The control system was studied to two parts the supply and the control of high and low voltages used at train, The performance study of control system would be continued to update through system analysis according to propulsion system developing.

  • Up to now, High speed train was widely used in France, Germany and Japan. In korea, High speed train was introduced from France train model and operation was made in year 2004. With this high speed operation Know-How, HSR-350 train was developed with our own technology. And now KTX-II which was made by our own technology are running in commercial line. High speed rolling stock system acceleration technology is train propulsion system and this is composed with traction motor, Power transfer system and auxiliary power system. This paper, introduced the performance of the traction propulsion system and other equipment that has been installed at the KTX-II will be secured.

With regard to information processing in car, we build a computer network in the car, turned the hardware required for train control into software, and developed the Train Control Monitoring System(TCMS) and ATC. Drive Type of Train control system car can drive with Driverless mode basically, and this paper applied 10Mbps special communication type for car control, data analysis, The propulsion efforts and breaking effort can control the cars. It is used Vector Control in Propulsion control and proposed Operating pattern for Propulsion control thinking Operating data of Rubber Tire LRT.

  • This paper presents the performance and test results of propulsion system which is met the requirements of urban MAGLEV. The design of propulsion system should be considered the effect of attractive force by the magnetic levitation and train running resistance. In this paper, the tractive and braking thrust are calculated and the train performance is simulated for the service track. Finally the test results of complete car are shown to verify the performance.

  • In this paper, the propulsion control of a high-speed maglev train is studied. Electromagnetic suspension is used to levitate the vehicle, and linear synchronous motors (LSM) are used for propulsion. In general, a low-speed maglev train uses a linear induction motor (LIM) for propulsion that is operated under 300[km/h] due to the power-collecting and end-effect problem of LIM. In case of the high-speed maglev train over 500[km/h], a linear synchronous motor (LSM) is more suitable than LIM because of a high-efficiency and high-output properties. An optical barcode positioning system is used to obtain the absolute position of the vehicle due to its wide working distance and ease of installation. However, because the vehicle is working completely contactless, the position measured on the vehicle has to be transmitted to the ground for propulsion control via wireless communication. For this purpose, Bluetooth is used and communication hardware is designed. A propulsion controller using a digital signal processor (DSP) in the ground receives the delayed position information, calculates the required currents, and controls the stator currents through inverters. The performance of the implemented propulsion control is analyzed with a small maglev train which was manufactured for experiments, and the applicability of the high-speed maglev train will be explored.

  • The super-speed tube train was introduced to increase the speed of ground transportation. It levitates magnetically and runs in a partial vacuum tube, which significantly reduces air resistance. However, strong magnetic force sufficient to propel the massive train can affect the infrastructure. The induced eddy current produces joule heat, and raises the inside temperature of the girder, which might lead to electrochemical corrosion on the girder, thereby weakening its durability. In this paper, the authors analyzed the magnetic flux and induced eddy current in the reinforced concrete girder by using three-dimensional FEM, particularly by varying the number of reinforcing steels of the upper flange of the girder to the condition of almost the same flexural strength and reinforcing steel amount.

  • This study was carried out about the design and the performance study of propulsion system for Korean High Speed Train of maximum operating speed of 350km/h. The propulsion system was studied to two parts the formation of power transmission and the performance of traction system base on Korean-TGV. For maximum operating speed of 350km/h at Seoul-Pusan high speed line, the power of train should be have the remaining acceleration of 0.058m/s/s and the slopeability of 6%o. This performance study of propulsion system would be continued for defining of adhesion factor, friction factor and aerodynamic factor assumed to analysis and simulation.
