This study was conducted to investigate the intakes and preferences related to Korean traditional teas in each of the age groups. The survey was conducted from March $9^{th}$ to $23^{rd}$, 2015. The subjects in this study were 642 adults aged more than 20 years that resided in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas. The health status score was 3.57, and the health concern score was 3.54. The reason for preferring traditional tea was 'health' (40.5%) and 'good taste, color, and aroma' (29.7%). The most important factor in drinking a traditional tea was health (37.1%). Acceptance of each type of traditional tea was ranked in order of 'grain tea', 'fruit tea', 'floral leaf tea', 'assorted tea', 'medical root tea', and 'tonic tea'. A total of 92.8% of respondents said traditional teas should be popularized. Regarding problems for popularization of traditional teas, the most common response was 'not popularized yet' (39.7%). Regarding the method for popularization of traditional teas, the most common response was 'convenience of purchase for ingredients'. As a result, preferences for traditional tea and popularization method were different according to age. It is thus necessary to develop traditional tea products considering the age range.

Based on the theory that formation of Korean Men's Traditional Trousers is related to Mobius strip, this study researches correlation between distinctive construction of Korean Men's Traditional Trousers and historical background based on old documents and restoration. Distinctive construction of Korean Men's Traditional Trousers are as follows. First, Korean Men's Traditional Trousers is manufactured just like Principle of Mobius strip that the square is twisted once, considering its materials' conditions. Second, Korean Men's Traditional Trousers, manufactured larger, feature cubic effect and twisted formative beauty because its waist and ankle parts are tightened with bands. Third, Korean Men's Traditional Trousers, composed of big Sapok and small Sapok in oblique, are suitable for active play due to its high functionality.
To investigate the main components of Korean traditional soy sauce for its typical taste, we compare the physicochemical properties of Korean traditional soy sauce and commercial soy sauce. The physicochemical analysis revealed that each components showed significant difference between Korean traditional soy sauce and commercial soy sauce. The significant characters for discrimination between Korean traditional soy sauce and commercial soy sauce were salt content, ammonia nitrogen content and total acidity (R$^2$=0.99). The components of Korean traditional soy sauce divided into 3 clusters, and each group is characterized as formol nitrogen, salt and total nitrogen content by cluster analysis. Main amino acids of Korean traditional soy sauce were alanine, glutamic acid, leucine and valine.
In the historical trend of Korean dance, Korean traditional dance continues to evolve through the transition to stage dance due to the modernization process, the tangibleization of traditional dance, the reconstruction or re-creation of traditional dance. Moreover, the trend of reconstruction and re-creation of traditional Korean dances has been common in traditional dance performances since the 2000s, with two directions: performance of original restoration and preservation and evolution of traditional dances. Therefore, this study is a study of the change in the form of traditional dance and the process of the evolution of traditional dance, and among them, the change of the traditional paradigm of the Lee Dong-an Ryu Jin-so dance. The paradigm shift of traditional dance was staged through the trend of the times to the extent that the original's meaning and form were not undermined, and we can recognize that the paradigm of traditional dance is a way of introducing new aspects as a way of transmission.
The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptional patterns of Korean traditional food and to compare the preference and intake frequencies of daily traditional Korean food among the identified perceptional patterns in the Yuabian area. Data were collected from 261 Korean housewives in Yanbian and underwent cluster and group mean analysis. The results revealed two different patterns: tradition-oriented vs. modem-oriented. Descriptive statistics showed that perceptional patterns are likely to vary depending on socio-demographic background as well as the preference and intake frequencies of daily traditional food. Similarities and differences in these perceptional patterns, the preference and the intake frequencies of traditional daily food are discussed, and future implications for food nutritionists and Asia marketers are presented.
The purpose of this study was to increase the utilization of traditional snacks in the Daejeon, Chungnam and Sejong regions by investigating the awareness of traditional snacks by parents and teachers of Children's foodservice facilities. The survey method was a self-monitored survey, and 576 people (298 parents, 278 teachers) were used for statistical analyses. 66.4% of parents believed that the snacks provided at facilities are nutritious, and that traditional snacks are rich in nutrition but difficult to cook (66.1%). Further, 77% of parents preferred traditional snacks, and 92% thought that traditional snacks should be passed on to future generations and continuously developed. Increasing the number of stores selling traditional snacks (41%) and a generalized awareness of traditional snacks (34%) are needed to expand the use consumption of traditional snacks. For teachers of Children's foodservice facilities, 92.8% said that the number of snacks provided per day was twice, and snacks were made and served more than twice a week (77.7%). The reasons for not making these traditional snacksit more often were the long cooking time (47.1%) and lack of labor (20.5%). There were no differences in the perceptions of traditional snacks among the types of children's foodservice facilities, but the private and public facilities showed a higher usage demand than the family type foodservice facilities for of traditional snack-focused food education programs. In order to increase the utilization of traditional snacks, it is necessary to create programs according to the facility types and to develop traditional snacks to meet the needs of consumers. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the development of instructions and programs for increasing the consumption of traditional snacks at children's foodservice facilities.
Purpose - The purpose of the study is to promote the adoption of traditional liquor product contents in order to revitalize the market and to increase consumer awareness of traditional liquor. Research design, data, methodology - In this study, the 4P relationship model was evaluated that included the self-supporting business of traditional liquor, continuous business, diversification of the types of the liquor, and discovery of preliminary social enterprises for the distribution of the liquor. Results - The study suggested a 4P relationship model that consisted of traditional liquor as the product, traditional market as the place, promotion within traditional market, and payment of labor costs. In other words, selection of the traditional liquor product, place, rental supports, distribution and delivery strategies, operations, public relations and training, foundation of social enterprises, and discussion between departments. Conclusions - The central government, local governments, and merchants (the market association) should actively cooperate with each other to revitalize the market for traditional liquor. Social enterprises that rely on a non-profit business model are likely to revitalize the traditional liquor market.
The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the application of raditional elements in Lie Sang bong and Vivienne Tam's Fashion Design. The methods of research, the references to the precedents of prior research, fashion related journals, articles, and websites of designers were examined to analyze how each designer reinterpreted the respective homeland's traditions. The designs of Lie Sang bong and Vivienne Tam studied were from the 2002-03 F/W to the 2012 S/S collections. The results are as follow. First, both designers use traditional marks when reinterpreting the traditional clothes of Korea and China. In the case of Lie Sang bong, traditional Korean marks were linked to the western structure. For Vivienne Tam, designs which revived realistic marks identically were displayed. Second, in terms of the modern reinterpretation of the traditional clothes shapes, there were a number of cases in which the silhouettes of their respective country's traditional clothes were mainly brought into their arts. Lie Sang bong was influenced by the 'line' of traditional Korean design. In addition, the atmosphere of the traditional clothes helped to reanalyze the traditional clothes' figure. In Vivienne Tam's designs, unique Chinese images were produced by, keeping the original form of the Chinese dress. Third, in the use of the traditional ornament techniques, Lie Sang bong partially introduced and applied traditional ornament techniques while Vivienne Tam largely decorated the traditional. This study discusses the traditional costume of Korea and Japan and cognitive factors affecting its recognition by conducting a survey on both Korean and Japanese students so that comparative analysis of the differences about whether to rent or own traditional costume and about whether the students surveyed have visited the other country reciprocally, can be made to set the future course of the traditional costume which have gradually been worn less frequently and favored by less people. College students of Japan and Korea were chosen for this study and asked to fill in a questionnaire. 491 respondents were analyzed using SPSS10.0 for frequency analysis, factors analysis and t-test. Findings of this study are as follows: Firstly, there were 7 factors affecting the Korean student's recognition of Hanbok while 6 factors involved in Japanese student's recognition of Kimono. Korean students thought highly of the traditional costume and yet had less knowledge of it compared to the Japanese students. Secondly, analysis of the student's recognition of their counterpart's traditional costume showed that there were equally 4 factors affecting the student's recognition. Students found the traditional costume difficult to wear and uncomfortable when worn. Japanese students regarded Hanbok as an abstract form of the traditional Korean culture while Korean students viewed Kimono as a realistic form of something concrete. Thirdly, analysis of the differences about the recognition based on the student's owning or renting the traditional costume. or visiting the counterpart's country, showed that students owning the traditional costume were more positive about the traditional costume and well versed in it. And students having visited their counterpart's country thought more favorably of the traditional costume of their counterpart.
Currently, the beauty of Korean traditional furniture has been changed irregularly and even the traditional character has been distorted. The purpose of the study is to examine the current situations of traditional bedroom-furnitures that are reproduced and sold at the markets in Korea. The eight companies were selected as a research sample. All those companies also participated at the "Living-design Fair 2003 and 2004" The traditional bedroom-furnitures were the limited products as a research target. As a method of the research, the content analysis such as names, dimensions and types was used. The results of research were as follows: 1) Using the confused names for a same item, 2) Changes of dimensions, 3) Diversification of the types, 4) Mixing with Japanese style furniture in the Korean traditional furniture market. On the basis of the results, selected eight companies were divided into three types: First, representation of traditions near to the prototype, second, reforming to be suitable to the contemporary life-style, and the last, mixing of Japanese style furniture. This research will make us be concerned about reproduced Korean traditional furniture and established the position to seek for Koreanity. This research expected to be a reference to develope Korean traditional furniture industry, opportunity of verification for reproduced Korean traditional furniture companies and find out the change of life-style through a comparison analysis of the original traditional furniture.furniture.
