The most important problem in target tracking can be said to be modeling the tracking system correctly. Although the simple linear dynamic equation for this model has used until now, the satisfactory performance could not be obtained owing to uncertainties of the real systems in the case of designing the filters baged on the dynamic equations. In this paper, we propose the extended robust Kalman filter (ERKF) which can be applied to the real target tracking system with the parameter uncertainties. A nonlinear dynamic equation with parameter uncertainties is used to express the uncertain system model mathematically, and a measurement equation is represented by a nonlinear equation to show data from the radar in a Cartesian coordinate frame. To solve the robust nonlinear filtering problem, we derive the extended robust Kalman filter equation using the Krein space approach and sum quadratic constraint. We show the proposed filter has better performance than the existing extended Kalman filter (EKF) via 3-dimensional target tracking example.
In this paper, a steering control system for the path tracking of autonomous vehicles is described. The steering control system consists of a path tracker and primitive driver. The path tracker generates the desired steering angle by using the look-ahead distance, vehicle heading, and a lateral offset. A method for applying an autonomous vehicle to path tracking is an advanced pure pursuit method that can reduce cutting corners, which is a weakness of the pure pursuit method. The steering controller controls the steering actuator to follow the desired steering angle. A servo motor is installed to control the steering handle, and it can transmit the steering force using a belt and pulley. We designed a steering controller that is applied to a proportional integral differential controller. However, because of a dead band, the path tracking performance and stability of autonomous vehicles are reduced. To overcome the dead band, a dead band compensator was developed. As a result of the compensator, the path tracking performance and stability are improved.

An asset tracking using wireless sensor network is concerned with geographical locations of sensor nodes. The limited size of sensor nodes makes them attractable for tracking service, at the same time their size causes power restrictions, limited computation power, and storage restrictions. Due to such constrained capabilities, the wireless sensor network basically assumes the failure of sensor nodes. This causes a set of concerns in designing asset tracking system on wireless sensor network and one of the most critical factors is location uncertainty of sensor nodes. In this paper, we classify the location uncertainty problem in asset tracking system into following cases. First, sensor node isn't read at all because of sensor node failure, leading to misunderstanding that asset is not present. Second, incorrect location is read due to interference of RSSI, providing unreliable location of asset. We implemented and installed our asset tracking system in a real environment and continuously monitored the status of asset and measured error rate of location of sensor nodes. We present experimental results that demonstrate the location uncertainty problem in asset tracking system using wireless sensor network.
In this paper, sun tracking system using Sun position sensor is proposed, the sun tracking system designed as which raises the efficiency of solar power generation. It design the structure being simple and it develops the system which is economical efficiency. It develops the hazard technique such as location tracking method of the sun which uses the sensor and to use the motor solar cell module movement. The Sun tracking system makes the drive in order to do with one axis and to use the sensor and to know in order to put out, the location of the sun and it makes. To make the solar location tracking sensor where the structure is simple it used two solar cells.
For many applications particularly in navigation system, a three-dimensional representation improves the usability of information. This paper introduces 3D Graphical User Interface (GUI) of indoor location tracking system, 3D Navigation View. The application provides users a 3D visualization of the indoor environments they are exploring, synchronized with the physical world through spatial information obtained from indoor location tracking system. It adopts widely used Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) to construct, represent, distribute and render 3D world of indoor environments over Internet. Java, an all-purpose programming language is integrated to comprehend spatial information received from indoor location tracking system. Both are connected through an interface called External Authoring Interface (EAI) provided by VRML. Via EAI, Java is given the authority to access and manipulate the 3D objects inside the 3D world that facilitates the indication of user's position and viewpoint in the constructed virtual indoor environments periodically.
This paper presents a design method of multivariable robust servo system for tracking control system for AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). In order to obtain the basic data for the design of the tracking control system, the control algorithm is evaluated in the view of computer simulation results. The tracking control is carried out for an AUV with 2 main thrusters, 2 side thrusters and 2 thrusters for the movement to up-down direction. The results of computer simulation show that the proposed multivariable servo system design method is an efficient method for the control performance of tracking control system of AUV under severe underwater environment.

Floating photovoltaic systems have been developed by the construction process such as design, construction, operation and management. Therefore, the power of floating photovoltaic systems has been calculated by using simple formulas and the optimal tracking interval is set by operation experience. But, flow characteristics have a decisive effect on it unlike land based PV systems. In this paper, a tracking floating photovoltaic system is modeled by using Matlab/simulink. The modeling for the floating photovoltaic system is verified through applying the flow characteristics based on actual operating data of 100㎾ class tracking floating photovoltaic.

In multiple object tracking, accurate detection for each of objects that appear sequentially and effective tracking in complicated cases that they are overlapped with each other are very important. In this paper, we propose a multiple object tracking system that has a concrete detection and tracking characteristics by using multi-lateral histogram and SIFT feature extraction algorithm. Especially, by limiting the matching area to object's inside and by utilizing the location informations in the keypoint matching process of SIFT algorithm, we advanced the tracking performance for multiple objects. Based on the experimental results, we found that the proposed tracking system has a robust tracking operation in the complicated environments that multiple objects are frequently overlapped in various of directions.

In this paper, a robust variable structure tracking controller is designed for the mixed tracking control of highly nonlinear rigid robot manipulators for the first time. The mixed control problem under consideration is extended from the basic tracking problem, with the different initial condition of both the planned trajectory and link of robots. This control problem in robotics is not addressed to until now. The tracking accuracy to the sliding trajectory after reaching is analyzed. The stability of the closed loop system is investigated in detail in Theorem 2. The results of Theorem 2 provide the stable condition for control gains. Combing the results of Theorem 1 and Theorem 2 gives rise to possibility of designing the improved variable structure tracking controller to guarantee the tracking error from the determined sliding trajectory within the prescribed accuracy after reaching. The usefulness of the algorithm has been demonstrated through simulation studies on the mixed tracking control of a two.link robot under parameter uncertainties and payload variations.

In this paper we develop an indoor location tracking system and its 3D tracking monitoring viewer, viz., 3D Navigation Viewer (3DNV). We focus on the integration of an indoor location tracking system with the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), to facilitate a representation of the user's spatial information in virtual indoor environments that is synchronized with the physical location environment. The developed indoor location tracking system employs beacons as active transmitters, and a listener as a passive receiver. The distance information calculated from the difference speeds of RF and Ultrasonic signals is exploited, to determine the user's physical location. This is essential in supporting third parties like doctors and caregivers in identifying the activities and status of a particular individual via 3DNV. 3DNV serves as a unified user interface for an indoor location tracking system, showing the viewpoint and position of the target in virtual indoor environments. It was implemented using VRML, to provide an actual real time visualization of the target's spatial information.
