  • Understanding success factors in electronic banking is important to helping banks succeed. In this study, we extend DeLone and McLean's IS success model to the electronic banking by adding trust as a success variable. We tested the extended model by comparing internet banking and mobile banking in Indonesia. Using a structural equation modelling approach. We found that system quality had positive impacts on perceived usefulness and end-user satisfaction for both internet banking and mobile banking. The development of e-banking (internet banking and mobile banking) in Indonesia is in its initial stage. Finally, although we tested for the common method bias to relieve concern, further research may use multiple methods when collecting the data. This study investigated the role of each dimension of IS success in the electronic banking environment. While the original IS success model emphasizes individual and organizational impacts, we have argued that trust is an important indicator of IS impact on an individual socially in the banking industry. The contribution of our study is two-fold. Conceptually, the study is the first to extend the IS success model to the e-banking context. We provide an extension of the updated IS success model by adding trust as an outcome variable in the research model.

  • This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the management situation of the Korea Railroad Corporation(KORAIL) through the management innovation process of the KORAIL and to suggest its implications for military application. Despite stable demand, the railway passenger industry had the limitation of not being able to abolish deficit routes due to public service obligations. In addition, the launch of the Suseo High-Speed Line has introduced a competitive system, posing a threat to corporate management. KORAIL wanted to overcome this crisis by innovating its management through the utilization of big data, improvement of the freight business, decentralization of demand, the introduction of tourism railroads, and development of station influence areas. By utilizing big data, KORAIL was able to optimize the railway fare system while reducing fixed costs spent on railway maintenance. It also drastically reduced the station of cargo and created a base station to pursue economies of scale. On the other hand, the existing exclusive station system was abolished to solve the chronic saturation of the downtown area, and the railway demand was moved to Gwangmyeong Station and Suwon Station to optimize the passenger supply. In particular, it developed a new business model called the tourism railway by developing the mountain Byeokjin Line, which was a chronic deficit line, and sought to improve liquidity through the development of the station influence area. Such a process of innovation at KORAIL suggests an appropriate direction in seeking ways to innovate the military medical institutions. First of all, the necessity of improving organizational immersion through the development of a personnel structure suitable for the compulsory organization, while expanding the facilities of the division and corps, and reducing the time required for medical treatment and waiting through the establishment of a data-based medical system was suggested. Next, it was also discussed to integrate the National Health Medical College, which received accreditation as a medical facility through the designation of advanced general hospitals and is ultimately under discussion with the Medical Institution. Through this, we hope that the military medical institutions, which are facing various challenges, will overcome existing limitations and be re-lighted as innovative institution that provides comprehensive public health services.

  • While machines can replace general industries, it is impossible to do so in service industries in which require various contacts with clients. As automated system would not work in service industries, it requires more of reliance to human resources than other industries. The services done here for customers are consequently reflected to the level of customers' satisfaction and business performance. Thus, highly qualified services are important factors for the success in the industry, but the problem here is that there is not enough care for employees providing those services. Therefore, this study analyzes employees' personalities and shows how those affect to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. It also aims at showing present problems in companies. MBTI, a test showing one's character, has been applied for the analysis, and surveys have been provided to employees to see how their personalities affect to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Through this process, job satisfaction in accordance with one's character and organizational commitment is partially similar, and the hypothesis assuming that there is interrelationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment was proved.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a simulation model of rural road path for infrastructure of green-tourism and public service in rural areas. This study makes an objective function for moving cost minimization considering car travel time according to road characteristics, which can route the optimal shortest road paths between the center places and all rear villages, based on GIS coverages of road-village network for connecting between center places and rural villages as input data of the model. In order to verify the model algorithm, a homogeneous hexagonal network, assuming distribution of villages with same population density and equal distance between neighborhood villages on a level plane area, was tested to simulate the optimal paths between the selected center nodes and the other rear nodes, so that the test showed reasonable shortest paths and road intensity defined in this study. The model was also applied to the actual rural area, Ucheon-myun, which is located on Hoengsung-gun, Kangwon-do, with 72 rural villages, a center village (Uhang, 1st center place) in the area, a county conte. (Hoengsung-eup, 2nd center place), and a city (Wonju, 3rd center place), as upper settlement system. The three kinds of conte. place, Uhang, Hoengsung-eup, and Wonju, were considered as center places of three scenarios to simulate the optimal shortest paths between the centers and rural villages, respectively. The simulation results on the road-village network with road information about pavement and width of road show that several spans having high intensity of road are more important that the others, while some road spans have low intensity of road.

  • Since South Korea has an economic structure that has a characteristic which market-dependent on overseas, the tourism industry is considered as a very important industry for the national economy, such as improving the country's balance of payments or providing income and employment increases. Accordingly, the necessity of more accurate forecasting on the demand in the tourism industry has been raised to promote its industry. In the related research, economic variables such as exchange rate and income have been used as variables influencing tourism demand. As information technology has been widely used, some researchers have also analyzed the effect of media on tourism demand. It has shown that the media has a considerable influence on traveler's decision making, such as choosing an outbound destination. Furthermore, with the recent availability of online information searches to obtain the latest information and two-way communication in social media, it is possible to obtain up-to-date information on travel more quickly than before. The information in online media such as blogs can naturally create the Word-of-Mouth effect by sharing useful information, which is called eWOM. Like all other service industries, the tourism industry is characterized by difficulty in evaluating its values before it is experienced directly. And furthermore, most of the travelers tend to search for more information in advance from various sources to reduce the perceived risk to the destination, so they can also be influenced by online media such as online news. In this study, we suggested that the number of online media posting, which causes the effects of Word-of-Mouth, may have an effect on the number of outbound travelers. We divided online media into public media and private media according to their characteristics and selected online news as public media and blog as private media, one of the most popular social media in tourist information. Based on the previous studies about the eWOM effects on online news and blog, we analyzed a relationship between the volume of eWOM and the outbound tourism demand through the panel model. To this end, we collected data on the number of national outbound travelers from 2007 to 2015 provided by the Korea Tourism Organization. According to statistics, the highest number of outbound tourism demand in Korea are China, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and the Philippines, which are selected as a dependent variable in this study. In order to measure the volume of eWOM, we collected online news and blog postings for the same period as the number of outbound travelers in Naver, which is the largest portal site in South Korea. In this study, a panel model was established to analyze the effect of online media on the demand of Korean outbound travelers and to identify that there was a significant difference in the influence of online media by each time and countries. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the impact of the online news and blog eWOM on the number of outbound travelers was significant. We found that the number of online news and blog posting have an influence on the number of outbound travelers, especially the experimental result suggests that both the month that includes the departure date and the three months before the departure were found to have an effect. It is shown that online news and blog are online media that have a significant influence on outbound tourism demand. Next, we found that the increased volume of eWOM in online news has a negative effect on departure, while the increase in a blog has a positive effect. The result with the country-specific models would be the same. This paper shows that online media can be used as a new variable in tourism demand by examining the influence of the eWOM effect of the online media. Also, we found that both social media and news media have an important role in predicting and managing the Korean tourism demand and that the influence of those two media appears different depending on the country.
