Development of Tourism Information Named Entity Recognition Datasets for the Fine-tune KoBERT-CRF Model

  • A smart tourism chatbot is needed as a user interface to efficiently provide smart tourism services such as recommended travel products, tourist information, my travel itinerary, and tour guide service to tourists. We have been developed a smart tourism app and a smart tourism information system that provide smart tourism services to tourists. We also developed a smart tourism chatbot service consisting of khaiii morpheme analyzer, rule-based intention classification, and tourism information knowledge base using Neo4j graph database. In this paper, we develop the Korean and English smart tourism Name Entity (NE) datasets required for the development of the NER model using the pre-trained language models (PLMs) for the smart tourism chatbot system. We create the tourism information NER datasets by collecting source data through smart tourism app, visitJeju web of Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO), and web search, and preprocessing it using Korean and English tourism information Name Entity dictionaries. We perform training on the KoBERT-CRF NER model using the developed Korean and English tourism information NER datasets. The weight-averaged precision, recall, and f1 scores are 0.94, 0.92 and 0.94 on Korean and English tourism information NER datasets.

관광전공 대학생의 전공만족이 학과몰입과 행동의도에 미치는 영향 (Students' satisfaction with their major and its influence on organizational commitment and behavior intentions to pursue career in the tourism-related fields among tourism-major college students)

  • 대학의 소비자인 학생을 대상으로 한 대학교육에 대한 평가가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 본 연구는 관광경영학과 대학생들을 대상으로 학생만족과 행동의도 간의 영향관계를 파악하고, 학생만족도가 학과몰입 정도에 따라 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, 첫째, 심리적 만족은 긍정적 행동의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 비용(재무)적 만족은 학과몰입과 긍정적 행동의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 조직에 대한 관계몰입은 긍정적 행동의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 대학생의 심리적 만족과 비용적 만족이 긍정적 행동의도에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 긍정적 행동의도에 비용적 만족은 학과몰입을 매개로 하여 유의한 영향을 미치지는 않았지만, 심리적 만족은 학과몰입을 매개로 하여 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 대학생의 긍정적 행동의 결정요인으로서 지각된 심리적 만족과 학과몰입에 대한 영향관계를 설명함으로써 학과의 긍정적 행동의도를 설명하기 위해서는 심리적 만족과 학과몰입을 종합적으로 고려해야 한다는 시사점을 제시하였다. 대학생들의 긍정적 행동의도는 교수나 학교의 요구에 의해 대학생들에게 강제할 수 있는 것은 아니며, 학점과 같은 공식적인 보상시스템과 직접적으로 연결시키기 어렵기 때문에 대학생들의 동기유발이 중요하다. 또한, 대학생들에게 자발적으로 긍정적 행동을 유발하기 위해서는 학과에 대한 심리적/정서적 애착을 갖도록 관리할 필요가 있다. 특히, 학년별 선후배 관계의 활동지원, 교수와 학생간의 관계지속을 위한 지원, 졸업생과 재학생간의 정보교류 및 관계형성 등을 지속적으로 형성해 나가야 할 것이다.

A Study on the Relationship Among Job Related Stress, Organization Related Stress and Turnover Intention of School Meal Chefs

  • The purpose of this study is to identify relationship among job stressor, organizational stressor, and turnover intention of school meal chefs. The respondents included 155 school meal chefs in the survey. Data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis and cause-effect analysis among the constructs. After research model testing, the following results were obtained : job stressor was influenced directly and positively by the turnover intention of school meal chefs. But organizational stressor was not influenced directly and positively by the turnover intention of school meal chefs.

Museum Service Quality, Satisfaction, and Revisit Intention: Evidence from the Foreign Tourists at Bangkok National Museums in Thailand

  • Despite its importance to Thailand, museum tourism has not received sufficient attention from researchers and practitioners. Consequently, knowledge of museum tourist responses toward museum service quality is quite limited. Thus, the purpose of this study was to (1) examine the service quality of museums in Thailand and (2) revealed how tourists react positively namely through satisfaction and revisit intentions. This study further explored how the proposed relationships vary between Asian and European tourists. Based on Harrison and Shaw's (2004) museum experience model, facilities, staff services, and exhibition experience were proposed as three important service elements encountered during a service experience. Data were collected from foreign tourists who visited any of the 6 national museums in Bangkok. A total of 260 questionnaires were obtained over a 3-month period, all of which were retained and utilized for the analysis. Results found that exhibition experience and staff services were positively associated with tourist museum visit satisfaction, which in turn acted on revisit intention. In addition, exhibition experience was found to be the most important service element for Asian tourists, while staff services was most important for European tourists. Staff services and exhibition experience both played important roles in the tourist museum experience, while facilities did not have an effect on the evaluation of museum services. In response, museum managers need to implement a segmentation strategy that considers tourists' backgrounds such as region, culture, or nationality.

에코캠퍼스 대학생의 환경의식과 행동이 에코투어리즘 참여의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Eco Campus Students' Environmental Consciousness and Behaviors on Eco-tourism Participation Intention)

  • 본 연구는 에코캠퍼스 대학생들의 환경의식과 환경행동 실태를 파악하고 이러한 요인들이 에코투어리즘 참여의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 에코투어리즘의 개념을 이해하는 에코캠퍼스 재학생들을 대상으로 직접 설문을 실시하여 요인분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 에코캠퍼스 대학생들의 환경의식요인은 환경의지, 환경관심, 환경지식 3가지로 나누어졌고, 환경행동요인은 친환경구매행동, 사용행동, 절약행동요인으로 나누어졌다. 환경의식요인들은 환경행동요인 각각에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 환경의식요인 중 환경관심요인은 환경행동 3가지 요인 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 환경의지요인은 구매행동에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤고, 환경관심요인은 사용행동에, 환경지식요인은 절약행동에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타남에 따라 이는 향후 친환경 행동들을 실행하기 위한 환경의식교육의 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 에코캠퍼스 대학생들은 환경친화적 관광활동인 에코투어리즘 참여의도에도 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 환경의지요인과 환경구매행동요인이 에코투어리즘 참여의도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on the Selection Attributes for Restaurant, Customer Satisfaction, and Recommendation Intention on Traveling Domestic Tourists: Targeting Tourists for Rail-ro Tickets

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the causal relationship among restaurant selection attributes and customer satisfaction and recommendation tastes for young people in their twenties who use tickets for Rail-ro. Data collection was conducted to utilize questionnaire survey with online and offline distribution. The collected data were analyzed using a statistical program SPSS 21.0 with frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis. The results of the study showed that Internet search is the most common source of information about restaurants during the trip, and restaurant choice attributes have an important impact on customer satisfaction, food quality, employee service and reputation, but hygiene did not have a big effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, customer satisfaction has a significant effect on recommendation intention. Concluding the results from this study, it investigated the significant attributes for customers selection of restaurants and provide meaningful advice for market managers to make useful marketing strategies to attract more clients and augment economic benefits.

소비자의 환경의식과 패스트푸드 기업의 환경마케팅에 대한 인식이 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The effects of consumers' environmental consciousness and perception of environmental marketing of fast food companies on their purchasing intention)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate how much customers' environmental consciousness and perception of environmental marketing in the fast food company affect their purchasing intention. Out of 420 questionnaires, 394 were analyzed by SPSS/WIN12.0 for the study. The results are as follows: the more environmental consciousness customers have, the more consumers understand environmental efforts of fast food companies. Second, consumers agree that fast food companies have a responsibility for environmental problems. Third, significant factors related to environmentally friendly marketing are found out. In other words, social psychological factors are more useful than demographic factors drawn from previous studies. Therefore, the empirical study would provide evidence for customers being interested in environmental marketing and valuable data for marketers who will approach environmentally friendly fast food market in the future.

Video-Induced Visit to a Destination: The Psychological Mechanism and the Role of Video Sharing Sources

  • Promotional videos have been increasingly adopted in social media marketing. Given that video production incurs high costs, evaluating the effectiveness of promotional videos is necessary. This research examines the effect of promotional video on visit intention through affective and cognitive destination images, respectively. Furthermore, grounded in the theoretical reasoning of social ties and persuasive intent, the effects of promotional videos disseminated by different sources (i.e., unknown users, friends, and marketers) are compared. Two experimental studies were carried out with 200 participants in Study 1 and 243 participants in Study 2. Study 1 revealed that the presence of promotional video induces visit intention through affective and cognitive destination images. Study 2 found that promotional videos disseminated by friends (versus unknown users) are more effective to induce visit intention because of positive cognitive destination image, while the video effects are indifferent between marketers and users. Meaningful implications are provided for destination marketers.

관광 회복세에 따른 방한 여행 의향에 관한 연구, 주한 외국인 대상 조사를 바탕으로 (Research on the Traveling Intention to Korea under the Background of Tourism Recovering, Based on Investigation on Foreigners in Korea)

  • 전 세계적으로 관광 산업이 코로나19 이전 수준으로 회복되고 있습니다. 이번 글에서는 관광객의 한국 여행 의향에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고자 합니다. 데이터 분석에는 TAM 모델을 사용했으며, 실제 시나리오에 더 적합하도록 신뢰, 정보 품질, 개인 혁신성 등 몇 가지 주요 외부 변수를 추가했습니다. 구조방정식 모델링 방법인 SPSS와 AMOS를 사용하여 분석한 결과, 지각된 위험은 의도와 큰 관련이 없다는 사실을 발견했습니다. 지각된 위험은 구매 의도와 유의미한 관계가 없으며, 이는 소비자가 지각된 위험보다 편의성을 우선시할 수 있음을 시사합니다. 그리고 다른 많은 요인들이 이 둘 사이의 잠재적인 매개 요인이 될 수 있습니다.

Consumers' Ad Responses towards Marketing Motives and Ad Appeals in Hotels' Green Advertising

  • This study aims to investigate the impacts of marketing motive (public- vs. firm-interest) and ad appeal (soft- vs. hard-sell) types on consumers' ad attitudes and behavioral intention in hotels' green advertising. From 711 US respondents, a multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was employed to test main effects of marketing motive and ad appeal types on ad recipients' affective and cognitive ad attitudes, while controlling their environmental consciousness. Further, the study conducted a multiple regressions analysis to examine the influence of ad attitudes on respondents' intention to visit the hotel. The study found that a public-serving claim can yield more positive affective ad attitude than a firm-interested claim, regardless of ad image type (soft- or hard-sell image). The result also revealed that a soft-sell ad image can elicit more positive affective ad attitude than a hard-sell one. On the other hand, the study showed that consumers' affective and cognitive ad attitudes are significant predictors of behavioral intention (i.e., visit intention). The study provided theoretical and managerial implications for hospitality researchers and hotel marketers to effectively design hotels' green advertising to ultimately increase consumers' visit intention.
