스머지 기반의 스마트 기기 지문 인증 공격 연구 (Smudge-Based Smart Device Fingerprint Authentication Attack Study)

  • 스마트 기기에서 지문 인증은 가장 널리 쓰이는 생체 인증 방식이지만 스마트 기기의 특성에 의해 위조 지문에 취약하다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 기기 사용 후 남은 지문 흔적인 스머지를 활용하여 정당한 사용자의 협조 없이 위조 지문을 만들고 실제 상용 스마트폰의 지문 인증 통과가 가능함을 검증하였다. 이러한 스머지 기반 공격을 방지하기 위한 기술적 대응 방법으로 터치 스크린 위에서 지문 인증을 수행하고 UI를 옆으로 끌어서 지문 흔적을 제거하는 방법인 under-screen Touch ID with slide bar가 제안된 바 있다. 본 논문에서는 앞서 제안한 공격 방법과 이에 대한 대응 방법에 관한 사용자 인식을 61명 규모 사용자 설문 연구를 통해 분석하였다.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NARROW GAP MULTI-PASS WELDING SYSTEM USING LASER VISION SYSTEM

  • In the multi-pass welding of pressure vessels or ships, the mechanical touch sensor system is generally used together with a manipulator to measure the gap and depth of the narrow gap to perform seam tracking. Unfortunately, such mechanical touch sensors may commit measuring errors caused by the eterioration of the measuring device. An automation system of narrow gap multi-pass welding using a laser vision system which can track the seam line of narrow gap and which can control welding power has been developed. The joint profile of the narrow gap, with 250mm depth and 28mm width, can be captured by laser vision camera. The image is then processed for defining tracking positions of the torch during welding. Then, the real-time correction of lateral and vertical position of the torch can be done by the laser vision system. The adaptive control of welding conditions like welding Currents and welding speeds, can also be performed by the laser vision system, which cannot be done by conventional mechanical touch systems. The developed automation system will be adopted to reduce the idle time of welders, which happens frequently in conventional long welding processes, and to improve the reliability of the weld quality as well.

  • 사용자 인터페이스는 어플리케이션 사용자에게 효율적인 서비스를 제공하는데 있어 중요한 요소이다. 특히 언제 어디서나 실행 가능한 모바일 어플리케이션들은 다른 도메인의 어플리케이션 보다 사용성의 우선순위가 높다. 기존의 연구들은 어플리케이션의 사용성 향상을 위해서 프로토타입과 스토리보드 방식을 활용하여 해당 어플리케이션의 사용성에 대한 설문을 수행했다. 하지만 이러한 방식은 특정 어플리케이션의 사용성 관련 문제점을 지속적으로 식별하고 개선하는데 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 터치 제스처 데이터를 이용하여 사용성을 분석하는 기법을 제안하고 있다. 이는 어플리케이션이 배포된 후에도 지속적으로 사용자의 의도를 파악하여 어플리케이션의 UI/UX 문제점을 식별하고 개선시킬 수 있다.

  • The progress of microelectronics technology has been requiring agressive developments of device technologies. Also the requirements of the next generation devices is heading to the limits of their functions and materials, and hence asking the very specific silicon wafer such as SOI(Silicon On Insulator) wafer. The talk covers the dome stic and world-wide status of SOI device developments and applications. The presentation will also touch some predictions such as SOI device prgress schedules, impacts on the normal wafer developments, market sizes, SOI wafer prices, and so on. Finally it will cover technical aspects which are silicon oxide conditions for bonding, point defects and, surface contaminations. These points will be hopefully overcome by involved people in microelectronics industry.

  • Wide use of smart and high performing mobile device makes consumers use diverse distribution channels, composed of online and offline channel. Smart companies are trying to deploy omni channel. In order to successfully integrate these diverse channels, it is necessary to understand consumers' preference of channel choice. Thus, this study was focused on the influencing factors of channel preference such as price sensitivity, consumer innovativeness, time pressure, and need-for-touch. And this study compared these influencing factors between Korea and China, and drew meaningful message for e-commerce companies and offline distribution companies.

  • The aim this master thesis is to find out if is possible to Integrate haptic hardware support in the source 3D game engine Crystal Space. Integrating haptic support would make it possible to get a haptic representation of 3D geometry in Crystal Space and therefore take advantage of all the benefits a 3D game engine provides, when building haptic applications, An implementation of the support should be as low-cost as Possible by taking advantage of available source haptic API alternatives. The thesis report presents an evaluation of available haptic APIs and comes up with a design and an implementation. The solution has been implemented as a Crystal Space plugin by using modified parts of the e-Touch open module API. The plugin makes it possible to utilize the Phantom haptic device to touch and feel the 3D environments in a Crystal Space application. Two demo applications have also been constructed to show the capabilities of the plugin.

The Effect of Form Factors and Control Types on Unsorted List Search for Full Touch Phone

  • Objective: The aim of this paper is to inquire into the influences form factors and control types affect a search time and comfort at list menu of full touch phone. Background: Various studies have been proceeded that are related to the optimum touch area for enhancing usability of control and legibility in mobile touch device. In the environment of list menu which is widely used to provide various information effectively, however, not only comprehensive consideration for legibility and control is to be seek but also research for control type which is to scroll a list. Method: This study executed form factor experiment to inquire into the influence that font size, height of row and fixed area affect searching time and comfort in the while information processing even if the information on the list is unsorted in alphabetical order. Among the result of form factor experiment, control type experiment was executed by selecting shortest performance time, highest legibility comfort and control comfort. Control type experiment was implemented to figure out the influence which existing flicking type, scrolling bar type, newly established button page type and button raw types affect performance time and subjective comfort depending on location of the information. Results: Font size 12pt, height of row 7mm and fixed area 15mm was shortest performance time and got highest comfort and legibility score in form factor experiment. A Button page which was newly proposed type was shortest performance time and got highest comprehensive comfort in control type experiment. Conclusion: Form factor experiment showed similar results with the study through reading a long passage of character or controlling a grid icon type. However, height of row turned out to affect not only touch area for control but also legibility by ruling space between the lines. Button page type which was newly proposed showed shortest performance time and got highest comprehensive comfort. Because Button page type needs few finger movements than other control types and implements search in the fixed form, unlikely other type which list keeps moving. Application: This study should be applied in deciding form factors and control type for scroll when designing a list menu of full touch phone.

만질 수 있는 비디오를 위한 햅틱 렌더링 기술 (Haptic Rendering Technology for Touchable Video)

  • 본 논문에서는 만질 수 있는 비디오를 위한 햅틱 렌더링 기술을 제안한다. 만질 수 있는 비디오 기술은 사용자로 하여금 햅틱 인터페이스를 이용하여 비디오 장면의 물체를 2D 또는 3D 객체 상태로 직접 조작하며 촉감을 느낄 수 있게 해주는 기술이다. 서버에서는 비디오와 햅틱 데이터, 3D 모델 객체의 정보를 전송한다. 클라이언트에서는 서버로부터 받은 비디오, 햅틱 데이터, 3D 모델을 렌더링 해준다. 또한 화면을 사각형의 작은 셀로 나누어 각각의 셀마다 촉감을 부여하는 방식을 사용한다. 촉감을 부여하기 위하여 각 셀에 고유한 느낌을 주는 경도(stiffness), 제동성(damping), 정적 마찰력(static friction), 동적 마찰력(dynamic friction) 값의 조합을 미리 정의해 놓았다. 본 기술을 이용하면 사용자는 화면을 직접 만지거나 화면 속의 물체를 3D 모델로 불러온 다음 이동, 크기 조절, 회전 등의 기능을 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 위치에서 촉감을 느끼면서 물체를 자세히 관찰할 수도 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 만질 수 있는 비디오를 위한 햅틱 렌더링 기술은 영화, 홈쇼핑 등의 비디오 콘텐츠에 대하여 시각적 효과, 청각적 효과와 더불어 촉각적 효과까지 제공하여 사용자 만족감을 극대화할 수 있다.
