  • It has been widely reported that carbide-free bainitic steels or super-bainite TRIP (SB-TRIP) steels for the automotive industry are a new family of steels offering a unique combination of high strength and ductility. Hence, it is important to exactly evaluate the volume fraction of RA and to identify the 3-D morphology of constituent phases, because it plays a crucial role in mechanical properties. Recently, as electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) equipped with focused ion beam (FIB) has been developed, 3-D EBSD technique for materials science are used to these steels. Moreover, newly developed atom probe tomography (APT) technique can provide the exact distribution and chemical concentration of alloying elements in a sub-nm scale. The APT analysis results indicate exactly the distribution and composition of alloying elements in the austenite and bainite phases of SB-TRIP steels with the atomic-scale resolution. And thus, no partitioning of aluminum and manganese atoms was showed between the austenite containing $7.73{\pm}0.39$ at% C and the bainitic ferrite associated with $0.22{\pm}0.06$ at% C in SB-TRIP steel.

  • We have calculated the reaction probability and the reaction cross-section of the $N(^4S)+O_2(X^3\sum_{g}^{-})\;\rightarrow\;NO(X^2\Pi)+O(^3P)$ reaction by the quasiclassical trajectory method with the 6th-order explicit symplectic algorithm, based on a new ground potential energy surface. The advantage of the 6th-order explicit symplectic algorithm, conserving both the total energy and the total angular momentum of the reaction system during the numerical integration of canonical equations, has firstly analyzed in this work, which make the calculation of the reaction probability more reliable. The variation of the reaction probability with the impact parameter and the influence of the relative translational energy on the reaction cross-section of the reaction have been discussed in detail. And the fact is found by the comparison that the reaction probability and the reaction cross-section of the reaction estimated in this work are more reasonable than the theoretical ones determined by Gilibert et al.

  • Along with increasing the renewable energy utilization, many researches have paid attention on the utilization and efficiency of energy storage systems. Especially, it is required an operational model in order to actively respond with each system's failure of sub-systems in the solar energy storage system. This paper proposes an energy management scheme by estimating the newly generated power based on the solar power generation samples. With comparing the estimated battery charging power in real time and the total charging power of the battery rack, a charge model is applied to adjust the charging power, As a result, the stability of energy storage system would be improved by suppressing the battery heat while maintaining battery C-Rate.

  • To evaluate the possibility as a multi-level memory medium for the Ge2Sb2Te5/TiN/W-doped Ge2Sb2Te5 cell structure, the crystallization rate and stabilization characteristics according to voltage (V)- and current (I)- pulse sweeping were investigated. In the cell structures prepared by a magnetron sputtering system on a p-type Si (100) substrate, the Ge2Sb2Te5 and W-doped Ge2Sb2Te5 thin films were separated by a barrier metal, TiN, and the individual thicknesses were varied, but the total thickness was fixed at 200 nm. All cell structures exhibited relatively stable multi-level states of high-middle-low resistance (HR-MR-LR), which guarantee the reliability of the multilevel phase-change random access memory (PRAM). The amorphousto-multilevel crystallization rate was evaluated from a graph of resistance (R) vs. pulse duration (T) obtained by the nanoscaled pulse sweeping at a fixed applied voltage (12 V). For all structures, the phase-change rates of HR→MR and MR→LR were estimated to be approximately t<20 ns and t<40 ns, respectively, and the states were relatively stable. We believe that the doublestack structure of an appropriate Ge-Sb-Te film separated by barrier metal (TiN) can be optimized for high-speed and stable multilevel PRAM.

  • The Cosmic Ray Experiment (CRE) is one of the modules flown on board the KITSAT-1 satellite and consistes of two sub-systems: the Total Dose Experiment (TDE) and the Cosmic Particl Experiment(CPE). The purpose of CRE is to characterize the space radiation environment as encountered by an Earth-orbiting spacecraft. KITSAT-1 orbit is dominated by the inner Van Allen radiation belt. This region has a large population of high energy protons which contributes significantly to both long-term and transient radiation effects. The data shows that the inner Van Allen radiation belt is very stable and the solar activity influences the CPE, TDE data and SEU(Single Event Upset) rates. The result also shows that much larger high energy particle flux is recorded than the predictions of the CREME code.

  • Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of combining the quantitative parameters of shear wave elastography (SWE) and superb microvascular imaging (SMI) to breast ultrasound (US) to differentiate between benign and malignant breast masses. Materials and Methods: A total of 200 pathologically confirmed breast lesions in 192 patients were retrospectively reviewed using breast US with B-mode imaging, SWE, and SMI. Breast masses were assessed based on the breast imaging reporting and data system (BI-RADS) and quantitative parameters using the maximum elasticity (Emax) and ratio (Eratio) in SWE and the vascular index in SMI (SMIVI). The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) value, sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, negative predictive value, and positive predictive value of B-mode alone versus the combination of B-mode US with SWE or SMI of both parameters in differentiating between benign and malignant breast masses was compared, respectively. Hypothetical performances of selective downgrading of BI-RADS category 4a (set 1) and both upgrading of category 3 and downgrading of category 4a (set 2) were calculated. Results: Emax with a cutoff value of 86.45 kPa had the highest AUC value compared to Eratio of 3.57 or SMIVI of 3.35%. In set 1, the combination of B-mode with Emax or SMIVI had a significantly higher AUC value (0.829 and 0.778, respectively) than B-mode alone (0.719) (p < 0.001 and p = 0.047, respectively). B-mode US with the addition of Emax, Eratio, and SMIVI had the best diagnostic performance of AUC value (0.849). The accuracy and specificity increased significantly from 68.0% to 84.0% (p < 0.001) and from 46.1% to 79.1% (p < 0.001), respectively, and the sensitivity decreased from 97.6% to 90.6% without statistical loss (p = 0.199). Conclusion: Combining all quantitative values of SWE and SMI with B-mode US improved the diagnostic performance in differentiating between benign and malignant breast lesions.

  • Multilayer sub-contracting is a significant practice among the world, including Hong Kong. When a principal contractor secured a project from a developer, the specific jobs will usually be breaking down and sub-contractors with the lowest bid [1]. The adoption of multilayer sub-contracting has been a controversy issue which is considered as a two-side blade. While certain studies have been carried out to examine both the contributions, damages and improvements for multi-layer subcontracting, the construction industry and researchers are still waiting for a solid measure to enhance the system. Hence, this research attempts to study the advantages, disadvantages, conducts a comparison between single and multilayer sub-contracting and measures of current Hong Kong construction industry based on literature review, questionnaire and in-depth interviews. To achieve the objectives, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and total weighted score methods are adopted to examine and rank the criterion. The findings of this study provide a good basis for understanding the major reasons and problems caused by the adoption of multilayer sub-contracting. Besides, the identified safety perspective explores a new perspective regarding to issues of multi-layer subcontracting, which will serve as a solid foundation for further research to enhance safety performance. Finally, the findings of measurements towards improvement of multilayer sub-contracting will also provide a solidsolution for construction industry.

  • This study estimated the health risk of heavy metals in particulate matter $(PM)_{2.5}$ in a Gwangyang industrial complex. The $PM_{2.5}$ containing heavy metal was collected from January to November, 2008 using a denuder air sampler and by IC (Ion Chromatograph). The risk assessment was performed in a four-step process; hazard identification, exposure assessment, dose-response assessment and risk characterization. In the hazard identification process, $Cr^{6+}$, Ni, As, and Pb were categorized as human carcinogens and probable human carcinogens, while Ti, Mn, Se, P, $Cr^{3+}$, Cu, and Zn were not classified as human carcinogens. It was found that the excess cancer risk by Central Tendency Exposure (CTE) of $Cr^{6+}$ and As in $PM_{2.5}$ was > $10^{-6}$, and the total excess cancer risk posed by carcinogen heavy metals in $PM_{2.5}$ was > $10^{-6}$. It was also determined that the total hazard index by CTE of non-carcinogen heavy metals in $PM_{2.5}$ was <1. Taken together, these results indicate a high cancer risk associated whit inhalation of heavy metal-containing$PM_{2.5}$ in industrial areas.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to establish a linkage model involving regional responsible medical institutions after analyzing the existing conditions and deriving problems through qualitative analysis within the community care system. Methods: A total of 14 participants of this study were selected through the snowball sampling method, including 7 community care service providers and 7 service users. As for the research data, primary data were collected through interviews, and as a result of analyzing according to Aday&Anderson' model, a total of 5 catergories, 8 topics, and 22 sub theme were derived. Results: The problem derived from the interview is that division services are provided for each institution due to the absence of a key central institution of community care system, and users' commercial institutions is unclear. The second is the inconsistency between the needs and supply for community care, resulting in a possibility of delay in returning to the community after discharge. Based on these problems, it is necessary to unify it as an community care window of the Dong-community center. In addition, there is a need for public health centers to play an active role, and to establish a public-private joint system with the Health and Living Support Center to establish a model that can play a certain role. Conclusions: Therefore, based on the results of this study, it can be used as basic data when constructing community care model and applying it as an expanded model in the future.

  • The present study has been performed on one year old tree saplings of Azadirachta indica (L.), Cassia siamea (L.), Dalbergia sissoo (Roxb.), Eucalyptus rostrata (L.), Mangifera indica (L.) and Schyzygium cumini (L.) in order to assess the effect of exposure of $SO_2-NO_2$, alone and combination of two gases. Tree saplings have been exposed to an average of $495{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$ $SO_2$ and $105{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$ $NO_2$ for 40 d at the rate of $4hd^{-1}$ during 10:00 am to 01:00 pm in OTC. Total chlorophyll, specific leaf area (SLA), nitrate reductase (NR) activity, foliar protein, free proline content and free amino acids (AAs) of foliage have been the plant parameters, taken into consideration to evaluate the effect of gaseous exposure. Exposure of two gases has caused reduction in total chlorophyll content (P < 0.05, 0.01). Physiological and biochemical process has been seemed to be altered noticeable due to the combined effect of $SO_2+NO_2$ followed by $SO_2$ alone (P < 0.05, 0.01). $NO_2$ mediated stress has produced, stimulatory and inhibitory responses in tree saplings. Results reveal that tree saplings have been attempted to absorb the $NO_2$ through N assimilation pathway. E. rostrata, C. siamea have been emerged as moderate tolerant to $SO_2$ mediated stress followed by A. indica. Response pattern of S. cumini, M. indica and D. sissoo set them as good indicators of $SO_2-NO_2$ exposure. Effects of two gases on tree saplings have been found to be synergistic.
