  • This paper presents Hybrid PI controller of IPMSM drive using fuzzy adaptive mechanism(FAM) control. To increase the robustness, fixed gam PI controller, Hybrid PI controller proposes a new method based self tuning PI controller. Hybrid PI controller is developed to minimize overshoot and settling time following sudden parameter changes such as speed, load torque, inertia, rotor resistance and self inductance. The results on a speed controller of IPMSM are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed gain tuner. And this controller is better than the fixed gains one in terms of robustness, even under great variations of operating conditions and load disturbance.

  • In the three axis control of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite by using reaction wheel and gyro, a reaction wheel produces the control torque by the wheel speed or momentum, and a gyro carries out measuring of the attitude angle and the attitude angular velocity. In this paper, the dynamic modelling of LEO is consisted of the one from the rotational motion of the satellite with basic rigid body model and a flexible model, in addition to the reaction wheel model. A robust controller $(H_\infty)$ is designed to stabilize the rigid body and the flexible body of satellite, which can be perturbed due to disturbance, etc. The result obtained by $H_\infty$ controller is compared with that of the PI (Proportional and Integration) controller, which has been traditionally using for the stabilizing LEO satellite.

  • The Variable Valve Timing(VVT) system for high performance is a key technology used in newly developed engines. The system realizes higher torque, better fuel economy, and lower emissions by allowing an additional degree of freedom in valve timing during engine operation. In this study, a model-based control method is proposed to enable a fast and precise VVT control system that is robust with respect to manufacturing tolerances and aging. The VVT system is modeled by a third-order nonlinear state equation intended to account for nonlinearities of the system. Based on the model, a controller is designed for position control of the VVT system. The sliding mode theory is applied to controller design to overcome model uncertainties and unknown disturbances. The experimental results suggest that the proposed sliding mode controller is capable of improving tracking performance. In addition, the sliding mode controller is robust to battery voltage disturbance.

  • Significant penetration of induction motor loads into residential neighborhood and commercial regions of local transmission systems at least partially determine a vulnerability to a fault induced delayed voltage recovery (FIDVR) event. Highly concentrated induction motor loads with constant torque could stall in response to low voltages associated with system faults. FIDVR is caused by wide spread stalling of small HVAC units (residential air conditioner) during transmission level faults. An under voltage load shedding scheme (UVLS) can be an effective component in a strategy to manage FIDVR risk and limit the any potential disturbance. Under Voltage Load Shedding take advantage of the plan to recovery the voltage of the system by shedding the load ways to alleviation FIDVR.

  • This study configuration Vector Control System which is stable and has outstanding Dynamic Characteristics in Very Low Speed Region and Low Speed Region, and proposes Instantaneous Speed Observer and Very Low Speed Control method using Reduced-Dimensional State Observer. The Observer proposed in this system, by appling Reduced-Dimensional State Observer to Load-Torque estimation and using for speed estimation, implements system composition simply and is capable of accurate Instantaneous Speed estimation in Very Low Speed Region. Also, this study reduces influence by System Noise and suggests an induction motor speed control system which is effective in Load Disturbance, modeling error, estimation noise and so on without changing pole of an Observer.

  • This paper presents speed control of IPMSM drive using neural network(NN) PI controller. In general, PI controller in computer numerically controlled machine process fixed gain. They may perform well under some operating conditions, but not all. To increase the robustness of fixed gain PI controller, NNPI controller proposes a new method based neural network. NNPI controller is developed to minimize overshoot, rise time and settling time following sudden parameter changes such as speed, load torque and inertia. Also, this paper is proposed speed control of IPMSM using neural network and estimation of speed using artificial neural network(ANN) controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The results on a speed controller of IPMSM are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed gain tuner. And this controller is better than the fired gains one in terms of robustness, even under great variations of operating conditions and load disturbance.

  • This paper proposes a robust digital speed regulator for a surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM). The proposed speed controller uses a simple digital load disturbance resistance scheme which does not require a load torque observer, so it can be easily and simply implemented without degrading the control performance. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm, experimental results as well as simulation results are shown under motor parameter variations using a prototype SPMSM driving system. Finally, it was confirmed that the proposed method can precisely regulate the speed of the SPMSM.

  • Quadrotors relatively smaller and lighter than other aircraft have a disadvantage of being sensitive to the external disturbances. In order to solve this disadvantage, many studies have been conducted by various control techniques robust to disturbances. In this paper, CMGs (Control Moment Gyros) introducing relatively large control torque with an identical amount of electric powers are applied to cancel the external disturbances. Two CMGs are considered to control the attitude of quadrotors so that a multi-copter installed with two CMGs and four rotors are introduced for this work. Finally, to verify the control performance of the proposed system by the CMGs, a numerical simulation conducted in the given harsh environment.
