  • NSS (Navigation satellite system) provides the information for determining the position, velocity and time of users in real time using satellite-networking, and is classified into GNSS (Global NSS) and RNSS (Regional NSS). Although GNSS services for global users, the exactitude of provided information is dissatisfied with the degree required in modern systems such as unmanned system, autonomous navigation system for aircraft, ship and others, air-traffic control system. Especially, due to concern about the monopoly status of the countries operating it, some other countries have already considered establishing RNSS. The RNSS services for users within a specific area, however, it not only gives more precise information than those from GNSS, but also can be operated independently from the NSS of other countries. Thus, for Korean RNSS, this paper suggests the methodology to design the satellite constellation considering the regional features of Korean Peninsula. It intends to determine the orbits and the arrangement of navigation satellites for minimizing PDOP (Position dilution of precision). PGA (Parallel Genetic Algorithm) geared to solve this nonlinear optimization problem is proposed and STK (System tool kit) software is used for simulating their space flight. The PGA is composed of several GAs and iterates the process that they search the solution for a problem during the pre-specified generations, and then mutually exchange the superior solutions investigated by each GA. Numerical experiments were performed with increasing from four to seven satellites for Korean RNSS. When the RNSS was established by seven satellites, the time ratio that PDOP was measured to less than 5 (i.e. better than 'Good' level on the meaning of the PDOP value) was found to 94.3% and PDOP was always kept at 10 or less (i.e. better than 'Moderate' level).

  • Our conclusions for function evaluation tools of Stroke patients are as follows. 1. Evaluating tools of Activities of Daily Living, Katz Index, Barthel Index, Modified Barthel Index have high validity and reliability because of ease of measuring, high accuracy, consistency, sensitivity and sufficient stastistics, but they mainly measure motor function except sense, mentation, language, and social conception. Therefore cerebrovascular disease and brain injury in trauma patients with lacked acknowledgement and sensation, we are not able to apply these tools. 2. PULSES Profile is a useful scale for measuring the patient's over-all status, upper and lower limb functions, sensory components, excretary functions, and intellectual and emotional adaptabilities. It is recognized as a good, useful tool to evaluate patient's whole function. 3. Motor Assessment Scale was designed to measure the progress of stroke patients. The scale was supplemented with upper arm function items. We believe that the Motor Assessment Scale could be a useful evaluation tool with inter-rater reliability ,test-retest reliability. 4. The existing evaluation tools, Katz Index, Barthel Index, Modified Barthel Index, PULSES Profile, Motor Assessment Scale, mainly measured the rehabilitational motor function of sequela of cerebrovascular patients. On the other hand CNS & INH stroke scale can measure cerebrovascular disease patient's neurologic deficits and over-all stautus, which are recognition ability, speech status, motor function, sensory function, activities of daily living. Those scales have been recognized as useful tools to measure function of cerebrovascular disease patients and have increased in use. 5. Every function evaluation tool was recognized to have some validity and inter-rater, test-retest reliability in items of each evaluation tool and total scores of each evaluation tools, but it is thought that none of these scales have been fully validated and proved reliable. Therefore afterward, the development of a highly reliable rating system may best be accomplished by a careful comparison of several tools, using the same patients and the same observers in order to choose the most reliable items from each. 6. Ideal evaluation tools must have the following conditions; (1) It should show the objective functional statues at the same time. (2) It should be repeated consecutively to know changed function status. (3) It should be easy to observe the treatment program. (4) It should have the same result with another rater to help rater exchange information with treatment team members. (5) It should be practical and simple. (6) The patient should not suffer from the observer.

  • Breast cancer treatment-related lymphedema (BCRL) is a common comorbidity in breast cancer survivors. Although magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is widely used to evaluate therapeutic response of patients with various medical conditions, it is not routinely used to evaluate lymphedema patients. We conducted a systematic review of the literature to identify studies on the use of MRI to evaluate therapy for BCRL. We hypothesized that MRI could provide information otherwise not possible through other examinations. On October 21, 2019, we conducted a systematic review on the PubMed/MEDLINE and Scopus databases, without time frame or language limitations, to identify studies on the use of MRI to evaluate therapy for BCRL. We excluded studies that investigated other applications of MRI, such as lymphedema diagnosis and surgical planning. Of 63 potential articles identified with the search, three case series fulfilled the eligibility criteria. In total, 53 patients with BCRL were included and quantitatively evaluated with MRI before and after manual lymphatic drainage. Authors used MRI or MR lymphagiography to investigate factors such as lymphatic vessel cross-sectional area, tissue water relaxation time (T2), and chemical exchange saturation transfer. The only study that compared MRI measurement with standard examinations reported that MRI added information to the therapy evaluation. MRI seems to be a promising tool for quantitative measurement of therapeutic response in patients with BCRL. However, the identified studies focused on only manual lymphatic drainage and were limited by the small numbers of patients. More studies are necessary to shed light on the topic.

  • As XML is used by standard format for information expression and information exchange in various field, Many Company began to use SVG by user interface or information expression tool of embedded system such as mobile phone based wireless internet. Because SVG has many additional information to keep structure of SVG document exception real data, there is a problem that transfer time of SVG file is so cost for quantity of transmitted data actually. To solve this problem, many researches using compression conception have been conducted for applying to an embedded system. This paper proposes SMETA that can use existing researches using compression concept at once. SMETA divides SVG file to each part that can allocate meaning, and gives semantic metadata to each part without alteration of SVG structure. SMETA can reduce site of transmitted SVG file actually by transmitting specification part of SVG file that metadata does not agree or has unlisted part in an embedded system between an embedded system and server, before transmit whole SVG file. By size of transmitting SVG file is decreasing, transfer time can be shortened accordingly.

  • Recently, many domestic golf course have showed interest in introducing new cultivars into existing putting greens without reconstruction. But, any report and survey method for interseeding substitute ratio haven't been published. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness for interseeding by investigating how many interseeding plants were introduced into existing putting green by using molecular biologic tool. The Woo Jung Hills Country Club was one time introduced penn A4 into penncross putting green. The Lake Side Country Club was three times introduced CY-2 into penncross putting green. The interseeding substitute ratio using SCAR markers was 20% in the Woo Jung Hills Country Club and 35.5% in Lake Side Country Club. The interseeding putting green in Lake Side Country Club was investigated to three site, strong pressure, middle pressure and weak pressure. These substitute ratios were strong pressure 27.1%, middle pressure 37.3%, and weak pressure 47.2%. The data indicated that an interseeding substitute ratio was more increased three times than one time to introducing new cultivar into existing putting green. A long-term program should be made in order to exchange existing cultivar in putting green without reconstruction.

  • During the 100 years since the initial discovery of meiotic phenomenon many brilliant aspects have been elucidated, but further researches based on light microscopy alone as an experimental tool have been found to have some limits and shortcomings. By the use of electron microscopy and armed with the advanced knowledges on modern genetics and biochemistry it has been possible to applu molecular technology in gaining information on the detailed aspects of meiosis. As synapsis takes place, a three-layered proteinous structure called the synatonemal complex starts to form in the space between the homologous chromosomes. To be more precise, it begins to form along the paired chromosomes early in the prophase I of meiotic division. The mechanism that leads to precise point-by-point pairing between homologous chromocomes division. The mechamism that leads to precise point-by-point pairing between homologous chromosomes remains to be ascertained. Several items of information, however, suggest that chromsome alignment leading to synapsis may be mediated somehow by the nuclear membrane. Pachytene bivalents in eukaryotes are firmly attached to the inner niclear membrane at both termini. This attached begins with unpaired leptotene chromosomes that already have developed a lateral element. Once attached, the loptotene chromosomes begin to synapse. A number of different models have been proposed to account for genetic recombination via exchange between DNA strands following their breakage and subsequent reunion in new arrangement. One of the models accounting for molecular recombination leading to chromatid exchange and chiasma formation was first proposed in 1964 by Holliday, and 30 years later still a modified version of his model is favored. Nicks are made by endomuclease at corresponding sites on one strant of each DNA duplex in nonsister chromatid of a bivalent during prophase 1 of meiosis. The nicked strands loop-out and two strands reassociate into an exchanged arrangement, which is sealed by ligase. The remaining intact strand of each duplex is nicked at a site opposite the cross-over, and the exposed ends are digested by exonuclease action. Considerable progress has been made in recent years in the effort to define the molecular and organization features of the centromere region in the yeast chromosome. Centromere core region of the DNA duplex is flanked by 15 densely packed nucleosomes on ons side and by 3 packed nucleosomes on the other side, that is, 2000 bp on one side and 400 400 bp in the other side. All the telomeres of a given species share a common DNA sequence. Two ends of each chromosome are virtually identical. At the end of each chromosome there exist two kinds of DNA sequence" simple telpmeric sequences and telpmere-associated sequencies. Various studies of telomere replication, function, and behabior are now in progress, all greatly aided by molecular methods. During nuclear division in mitosis as well as in meiosis, the nucleili disappear by the time of metaphase and reappear during nuclear reorganizations in telophase. When telophase begins, small nucleoli form at the NOR of each nucleolar-organizing chromosome, enlarge, and fuse to form one or more large nucleoli. Nucleolus is a special structure attached top a specific nucleolar-organizing region located at a specific site of a particular chromosome. The nucleolus is a vertical factory for the synthesis of rRNAs and the assenbly of ribosome subunit precursors.sors.

  • Recently, the flux community in Korea established a new regional flux network, so-called KoFlux, which will provide an infrastructure for collecting, synthesizing, and analysing long-term measurements of energy and mass exchange between the atmosphere and the various vegetated surfaces. KoFlux requires the collection of long time series of raw data, and a large amount of data are expected to accumulate due to continuous flux observations at each KoFlux sites. Therefore, we need a systematic and efficient tool to manage these raw data. As a part of this effort, a computer program far processing raw data measured from micrometeorological field experiments was developed for the flux community in Korea. In this paper, we introduce this program for processing raw data to estimate fluxes and other turbulent statistics and explain the micrometeolological processes coded in this data-processing program. Also, we show some examples on how to run the program and handle the outputs for the unique purpose of research interest.

  • In this study, based on the analysis of FRBRoo, we tried to propose suggestions to expand and improve the FRBR family conceptual model. FRBRoo is a plug-in ontology of CIDOC CRM with cooperation of museum field. As FRBR family models also revised and integrated into IFLA Library Reference Model, the additional analysis on IFLA LRM was performed. If bibliographic information is required to support the technical and user services of the library, the way to analyze the bibliographic information should be improved in order to cope with the new challenges faced by the library. To do this, time-related event concepts should be reflected in the modeling of bibliographic information. It is also necessary to expand the creation and exchange unit of bibliographic information to smaller units or larger units than legacy bibliographic records. Using FRBRoo as a linkage tool for the sharing of bibliographic information is also suggested.

  • The internet becomes a new communication tool in the knowledge and information society and the people are expanded at the place of information interchange and exchange of view. In recent robot education institutions provide their own official homepages to introduce the robot educational resources. But because they have restrictive searching the functions and providing general robot education resources and don't offer a place that teachers can express their thoughts and share common interests with other users, online community among teachers for robot education and users couldn't have built. In this paper, we propose an Online Robot Education Community(OREC) that teachers and users in different robot education institutions can interchange or share their technical information, learn robot techniques, participate in discussion of their experiences on work, share their common interests, and be provided updated latest news in real-time.

  • With development of information technology that allows bidirectional exchange and access of information made possible the formation of e-Government. The e-Government and the E-Government Act established for its support provides a tool for online access of government information. This brought on many changes in the recordkeeping environment of public institutions, and also guarantees access of government information by the general public. The active disclosure of government information was re-confirmed through the Freedom of Information act that was amended in 2004, and through its contents that offer guidelines for administrative information disclosure and announcements (Prime Minister Orders No.422) As a result of this effort, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Cultural Heritage Administration provide real time update of their homepages with focus on key organizational policies and records. Such changes are expected to other various public organizations. In order for public organizations to accurately and efficiently provide information sources, and in order to provide the public with easy access to such information, development of public infrastructure along with e-Government metadata are necessary. Korea does not yet have e-government metadata that has been standardized, although "GILF Core Element" has analogous functions. However, GILS Core element has been developed without recordkeeping intent, and it has not been successful in establishing a connection with recordkeeping metadata. Therefore, in this study, criteria for e-government metadata are proposed.
